Trichome maturing after harvest
I'm curious about how much more trichomes mature into amber after harvest? If I chop at 20%, will it proceed to 30 or 40% as I dry and cure? Do you havest based on the current state or a future target in mind?

Baking soda as ph up
Is there any downside in using baking soda as a ph up? It raises my EC a little by.3 but my runoff has gone nuts. Normally I'm about 1.3-1.6 in and 1.6-1.8 out. Today it was 1.3 in and *3.6* out. I ph downed too much to 5.5 and used baking soda to get it back up to 6.5.

Economical nutrients
What is the most economical nutrient regimen that covers all needs? Veg, bloom, micro, and any extras like silica, root enzymes, etc. Feel free to say what's not needed. Using AN currently. Also my buddy swears by miracle gro organics. He only uses that plus a little calmag.

Caterpillars
I had a budrot on a single bud and while trimming it out I found a green caterpillar inside. I'm guessing white butterfly or moth, I've seen them around outside. Is there a way to draw any others out? I'm just before harvest.THANKS

Trich check
Week 7.5. Trichomes on sugar leaves are 50% amber, on flowers more like 10%. Wait for flowers to amber a bit longer?

PH creep
I started mixing my feed in the evenings and watering the next morning. I pH down to 6.4 and overnight it creeps up to 6.6-6.8. Is that normal? Using advanced nutrients.

Dense bud leaves
2 different strains here, unknown on the 1st pic. Sweet afghani in the 2nd. The unknown is a lot more leaf dense in the buds. It's always been a darker green. Also no huge top cola. Is this leaf density genetics or from too much N? Should I trim out some bud leaves? Seems lik

EC measurements range
I've got an EC Meter now and measurements are confusing me. Using a milwaukee instruments CD611, so supposed to multiply measurement by 100 for EC. My plants runoff are 16, 17, 20 and 30 each. EC of water going in is 15-16, same feed mix for all. Best EC range runoff to be? Thank

Heat stress
Big heatwave and one of my plants got really burned. 33-36c for a week. I got them moved to shade with a fan but a little too late. Previous week I had flushed to correct ph (6.8 down to 6.0) and then reduced my nutes 50% and stopped cal mag. Best course for recovery?

Fertilizer transitioning from veg to flower
When transitioning from veg to flower, at which point fo you switch fertilizer? At sign of preflowers or wait? And do you taper down the N and taper up the PK, or just go straight to full bloom formula? THANKS
