Sir, you are officially the most nervous novice I’ve encountered. I nearly ditched reading your diary, but decided you need all the help you can get, even if you don’t like how it sounds. Everyone has advised you wisely except to say knock it off! Actually @DeadwebsiteBoringcommunity pretty much said the same thing, only more politely. Let the plants grow themselves. They’ve been doing it for thousands of years and they don’t need much help now. Don’t hover. Feed and check moisture, pH, air movement, pest infestations, humidity and GET OUT OF THE WAY I genuinely wish you great success, and that’s fairly easy because cannabis is hard to fuck up. Enjoy the process and your harvest

I’m late to this party so forgive the intrusion please. @CRiSPrGrow advised you wisely above, but I offer this clarification regarding supercropping - Done expertly, it amounts to XLST. Extra Low Stress Training. I never snap or squeeze stems. I grip firmly with both sets of thumbs and forefingers and roll it, almost like pedaling a tiny bicycle. It’s silent, never breaks the exterior of the stalk, and yet it falls flat when released. Zero recovery time. Tops are thriving the next morning. Visit @growdoctordc on Insta for pictures and explanations of this and many creative techniques to reduce the labor of cannabis growing, while improving taste and potency

@Theia, quartz and salt are related rocks (what do I know!? I’m no geologist) but quartz is benign and salt would kill a plant. Isn’t Silky’s cannabis art divinely inspired? I just love it!

@growdoctordc, oh yeah she’s tasty as hell!! Now I’m on the Gorilla for the time being til I can order some seeds or get a better selection but for the moment things are limited. Trying to explore different avenues lol

@growdoctordc, Hi there thanks for taking a look at the leaf situation. It's very true what you mentioned about the genetic inconsistency. There definitely seems to be a hint of Indica lurking however, the general stem/node structure is very much Sativa. I truly hope this Indica genetic is not apparent in the smoke as I really do not like the effects of it at all. Malawi being one of my all-time favourite smokes since I was probably too young to be partaking :smiling_imp:

@growdoctordc, Hi GrowDoctordc, Thanks for your advice very useful! I still see new white hears coming every day on some buds and other buds are almost ready... i follow your tip to cut the ready ones and let the others grow some more but first i will lput here in darkness for some time. see what happens :sunglasses: Thanks again:+1:

@growdoctordc, Thanks! The Mars arrived today and I've set it up 24 inches away, as per the instructions. We'll see how she does! I've already gotten my fair share of joy and excitement out of this little experiment so anything more that comes from it is a bonus

@growdoctordc, oh my gosh amen! I was really bad about giving a few plants in the past just enough water and then they had chronic drought and it was soooo bad! I was seriously screwing them up and making them so mad at me. Every grow, grower, and environment are totally different...just adapt and modify and observe...my plants usually tell me what they need, even if i don't listen sometimes.

You’re a novice with cannabis, but an experienced gardener. You’ll do well. @experimentgreen advised you wisely. A speedy wet/dry cycle is preferred over a soaking. But one must watch for too dry. Even experienced growers cannot accurately tell anyone else precisely how far to keep lights. Each situation is custom. If they stretch as babies, not enough light. Starting out far isn’t a terrible thing, you can always get closer. And fix it also by adding soil or repotting to add stability. Keep humidity high during veg, and low during flower. enjoy the process and your harvest
