Aloha Family,
Let's celebrate! @Tenacious_Trichomes is finally a MASTER GROWER! He's been here with us for ages! He is such an inspiration, a true celebrity of the site! Do not forget to leave a couple of lines in his honour in the comments section bellow. Enjoy the interview!
Q: Hey Tenacious_Trichomes, congrats! I personally thought you'd be the 2nd or 3rd Master Grower on the site :) What took you so long?
A: Haha I was on a roll for a little while there but then school ended and I couldn't spend as much time on GD as I would have liked to. Entertaining the kiddos became the priority over here...but I finally made it!! Slow and steady wins the race....right?!? I'm slowly getting back on the site and looking forward to posting some more journals up for everyone.
Q: You are here on GrowDiaries since a while now! How did you find out about us in the first place?
A: I first started seeing posts on IG which peaked my interest. I was following a few growers who were part of the community so I decided to check it out for myself. I liked the idea of everyone being able to see exactly, from seed pop to chop, how to harvest great quality cannabis. So I decided to join myself. I learned what I know from other experienced growers and a walk through would have been beneficial for me....so may as well pass on what I've learned.
Q: Where are you from? What do you do in real life? Do you have a job? Tell us about yourself. What are your hobbies besides growing? Got pets?
A: Well, I'm from Canada. I Work as a laborer for the city which helps me stay outside often and do a little bit of everything. I'm 34, married with two children. Have a sweet little boxer who is 2 years old. My boys are still quite young so I'm always entertaining and trying to keep things in order!! I love to play sports and obviously I love to garden. I love spending time with the rest of my family as well! (other siblings and parents etc....gatherings are always fun!)
Q: Did you receive all the DOM prizes? All good?
A: Yup, received all my prizes and am stoked to be receiving some sweet gear and nutrients to test out!! All for doing what I absolutely enjoy doing!! Just waiting on a package from Biobiz which had some customs issues (pesky customs agents) and one package from Spain. Have to be patient in this hobby...
Q: Who are the growers who you look up to here?
A: I have always loved Tang's pictures and that's who got me striving for monster autos. Knowing that it could be done (seeing the pictures) lit a fire under my behind to say the least.
Q: Why do you grow weed? When did you start?
A: I grow cannabis for my PTSD. My major symptoms are severe anxiety and for my insomnia...depression also pops in here and there as well. I was paying for my cannabis from licensed producers when I was first diagnosed and was paying upwards of $500 per month! I decided to start to produce my own medicine to help cut some of the costs down. That was for indoor, which I started doing in jan of 2015. I occasionally grew a few outdoor plants when I could afford to look after them and be there to harvest them when they were ready.
Q: Do you ever buy weed? Do you sell it? What's a fair price per gram in your opinion?
A: I do buy my cannabis when I am running low for some odd reason. I don't sell any as I would hate to lose my license over something silly like that!! A fair price for cannabis is hard to say...id say around $6-$7 per gram would be about the fair market. I've definitely paid more than that tho...
Q: How do you smoke your weed?
A: About 90% of the time I smoke out of a glass bong. Quick, efficient and not as noticeable (smell wise). The other times are either a joint or dabs.
Q: What was your favorite grow ever? Is there a Diary for it?
A: I really enjoyed the 3 Bears OG by Mephisto pulling in some decent weight as well! And the flowers had such a great flavor. There is a diary for that one....The other was a THC Bomb (photo) that I grew for my second plant ever pulling in some amazingly potent meds!! I'd recommend both of those by the way...
Q: Anything else you'd like to add?
A: Just keep doing what you guys have been doing. You are helping lots of growers see how and exactly what to do to produce quality cannabis. You are providing a great tool for new growers learning and compensating experienced growers to share their knowledge. Great idea gentlemen!! Keep up the amazing work!!
Thanks a lot, Ten! We are so glad to have you here with us! Keep up the amazing work! We are all waiting for more and more wonderful Diaries to come. Love to your Family!
Peace,
GD Team
