Gorilla Melon grows more outwards than upwards, resulting in a bushy and manageable plant. She produces small, rock-solid and very sticky buds that will envelop her branches by the end of the grow cycle. This variety develops plenty of colas, so don’t worry about yields: she’ll have you covered with a supply of sweet and sour, top-notch quality flowers. Upon smoking she will show off her melon terps, inherited from our keeper cut of Melon strain, with the highlights of a classic flavor inherited from GG#4 (Murdock GG Strains). Another thing she has from her parents is her gorilla-like power that allows her to shrug off any kind of stress. You can do all the defoliation you consider necessary, or take all the clones you want, and watch her recover almost instantly and come back stronger than before.

Strain Harvest Report: Gorilla Melon The Journey to Harvest Gorilla Melon displayed her unique personality and structure throughout the cycle, making her a standout. She was harvested in two stages: Day 56 and Day 63 of flower. The first half was taken early due to some mold-affected buds, ensuring the rest of the plant remained healthy and had the opportunity to further develop its potential. This staggered approach allowed us to experiment with maturity levels while managing challenges. The Day 56 harvest yielded bulky, resin-rich colas, while the remaining half, harvested on Day 63, displayed even more density and terpene development. Structure and Beauty From her early days, Gorilla Melon grew with strength and grace, forming compact, dense buds coated in trichomes. Despite the challenges posed by mold, the plant’s overall health and resilience were a testament to the environment and techniques used in this cycle. The defoliation efforts and excellent airflow contributed significantly to minimizing the spread of mold, ensuring the harvest remained predominantly unaffected. Drying and Curing After careful inspection and harvesting, the buds spent 12 days drying in optimal conditions. The process highlighted their density and frostiness, revealing red undertones beneath a blanket of trichomes. Once trimmed, the buds were cured to bring out the strain’s full potential, locking in its flavors and potency. Key Harvest Stats: • Harvest Stages: Day 56 & Day 63 of flower • Drying Period: 12 days • Post-Trim Appearance: Dense, frosty buds with hints of red hues • Rating: 8.6/10 (Smoke report to follow in a future post) Final Thoughts Gorilla Melon is a showstopper. While the smoke report is pending, her cultivation journey highlights why she’s a favorite. Resilience, beauty, and stellar performance under the ThinkGrow LED and TrolMaster systems make her a memorable strain in this grow. Stay tuned for the final verdict!

The smoke on these without a cure is excellent. When breaking up these beautiful buds first thing you notice is that up front gorilla glue smell. On the backend you get that watermelon sweet smell. The inhale without lighting is very strong gg/melon taste. When lit the first pull you can really taste the watermelon in it . On the first hit you get a heavy indica affect in the body. A relaxed heaviness followed by a relaxing mellow buzz. No paranoia just a real nice relaxed feeling. Three hits is all you need. If you keep smoking it will knock you out. This is definitely potent smoke. Think twice if you have a big day planned and want to chief heavy on this one. You will stay right where you are.
