Garlic Budder

Tag 64 of flowering. It is a bit too early, but due to suspicion of root rot, it was harvested (the suspicion was confirmed after the harvest)....and because the Blueberry Muffin is completely finished. Smells amazing, very spicy and unusual for me. I'm curious about the taste. The trichomes feel somehow "more stable", when I rub the sugar leaves it feels like I'm sensing bumps and the leaf feels slightly leathery. But the color...the color! The buds are so damn dark. What an aroma while trimming....attached are new pictures of the flowers.

Still curing, but already stoked for this smoke! Grew these genetics before, but these are clones and can already notice subtle differences from the seed version. Terpenes are different between the two with the #1 pheno having a more berry-jam profile while getting a more floral-fuel profile from #2. Growth morphology is the same as the last time with lanky nodal spacing and uneven branching. If using a scrog, this is not a big issue. Both phenos grown had very similar bud structure with deep purpling during senescence. Yield was okay but these were hand watered so could have been better if watering was maintained better. Have both as mothers and depending on how the final cure smokes, will keep or cycle out. Again, still learning to grow so pretty sure I could I done better, but growth was definitely an improvement from the last time. Overall, incredible genetics and recommended for terpenes, but growth is lanky and should be considered.

the cycle has come to an end, the plants have been harvested and are being cured. the mother yielded 421 grams of dry flowers the clones yielded 303 grams of dry flowers. the variety changed its smell during curing, it became even more pleasant, the smell of garlic is not felt, fruit spices, very complex. the variety is generally very strong, not suitable for beginners and for daily smoking. I am very glad that such a rich harvest came out.

Tested @19%THC. Smell / tastewise it's hard to rate the strain just yet. Will adjust my final score after dry and cure.

Since I'm no expert, I understand growth can always be better which obviously effects the end product and flavor. With that said, buds are dense and are just coated with trichomes! The aroma has an earthy-fuel profile with hints of berries on some of the phenos. Unfortunately, I still don't get any garlic-GMO flavors, but I think this is due to my inexperience as a grower. This is the second time growing these genetics and I can taste the difference between seed and clone cycles. But this could also be due to the difference in growth health as well. Regardless, I've enjoyed growing these genetics and will continue to keep mother plants alive for future grow cycles.

As I still consider myself a beginner grower, I don’t feel like I can give a proper review. There were heat and health issues throughout this grow so flavors and terps are definitely not as good as it could be. As a person who also smokes from the local dispensaries, have to honestly say that the quality is still not better but is good enough. With all this said, here goes. The flavors are definitely on the earthy-fuel side and there are no floral or fruit notes. As far as garlic, could not find any garlic or GMO terps, but this is most likely due to the way they were grown. The smoke is still smooth but not as flavorful as the dispos. With the exception of one pheno, growth morphology for all the plants were more on the stretchy side. These particular genetics had larger inter-nodal spacing than I’m used to and are definitely the tallest plants I’ve grown so far. Once I can actually grow healthy plants, I want to give these genetics another go. Until then, just going to keep on growing and learning.

The growth is enormous... I will definitely repeat garlic absolutely satisfied... tested trim and super taste and a terrible grounder...

This is my second run with this cultivar. Humboldt Seed Co. is the best!
