Panama Red stands as an iconic and revered strain that has left an indelible mark on the world of cannabis culture. Hailing from the vibrant region of Panama in Central America, this strain boasts a storied history, potent effects, and a unique flavour profile. One of the most remarkable aspects of Panama Red is its distinctive appearance. The plants typically exhibit a tall and lanky structure adorned with elongated leaves. The buds, characterised by their rusty-red hue, give the strain its evocative name. To maintain Panama Red's relatively compact stature and optimise yields, early and rigorous training is crucial. Left to their own devices indoors, the plants can reach towering heights of 200cm, yielding up to 350g/m². Implementing low-stress training (LST) techniques throughout the growing cycle can keep plants at around 140cm. Outdoors, the strain has the potential to surge even further, reaching heights of 350cm and yielding approximately 450g/plant. The flowering phase of Panama Red typically spans 10 to 13 weeks when cultivated indoors. Outdoor growers can look forward to a harvest window that falls between late October and early November. Boasting a THC content of around 17%, Panama Red delivers a mild yet impactful cerebral high. Each inhalation introduces a symphony of pungent flavours, including notes of citrus, spice, and grapefruit. Its legendary status is upheld by its ability to swiftly uplift the mood and stimulate cognitive faculties.

Panama Red – Zamnesia Seeds The Panama Red has now been my third run with this genetics and is one of the most interesting Sativas I've grown so far. Due to its strong stretch during pre-flowering, it should be topped early and trained with LST to keep the height well under control. Those who heed this advice will get a robust, well-structured plant with a pleasant growth behavior. Despite its long flowering time of usually 12–14 weeks, I find the Panama Red to be relatively uncomplicated. It generally reacts quite tolerantly to minor mistakes and, in my opinion, is even suitable for ambitious beginners, provided there is a stable setup for the long flowering phase. I was able to mostly confirm the breeder's information regarding growth, yield, and plant structure over several runs. The plant produces plenty of resin and develops large, attractive flower clusters. Compared to other long-flowering Sativas, there are definitely more sensitive candidates, but also more robust varieties. Therefore, I would classify the difficulty level as between easy and medium. Overall, a very successful genetics with classic Sativa character that requires a bit of patience, but rewards it with beautiful growth, good resin production, and convincing results.

Great plant !! The only minus was the herming during the end of flower. Het buds were so fat that the branches were bending over. She had a nice fade out in the end. I’m really satisfied with this grow.

Very strong plant with a magnificent structure that has given me enormous buds, dense, sticky, and fragrant, I can't wait for it to dry to smoke the first joints.
