Today 7/30/19, day 57 and the start of week 9. I'm still continuing to alternate between days with my pesticide treatment (especially after finding that bug living on one of hulkberries fan leaf) and thrive alive green daily foliage spray as a prophylactic solution against any possible pests or mold going into these last few dog days of veg. I will flush them with distilled ph'd water for two days this weekend in preparation for flower. Then I'll start them on some "flower fuel" bloom booster on top of my secret for success flower recipe at 1/4 of the recommended strength. Outside of that still no adverse issue to report for the end of the 8th week. After my last trim, they both have responded very nicely, I was kind of worried about fat banana stalled growth. But one thing I noticed when I topped her at the 6th node, yes the main stem stopped growing but it developed many bud sites up and down every stem. Whereas hulkberry was topped at the 8th node, she has mainly focused on developing long stems and only 2 or 3 bud sites along her stems. Even though hulkberry in structure, is much bigger than fat banana and has a way bigger root system. Fat banana is bushier and has developed way more bud sites than hulkberry. I can't tell which strain will yield the most at this point only time will tell! Also, a big shout out to "J"@RQS, thank you for the excellent customer service. Another reason why Royal Queen Seeds is top 3 in breeding!!

Still have upward growth from the ends and switched to full flower nutes. Temperatures in the reservoir are starting to get worryingly warm 20c upwards. Middle of summer and a heatwave all compounded temp problems. May need a chiller to compensate.

Going well this week. Playing around with the cycle times courtesy of my new find, a 20$ repeat cycle timer. We will switch to flower as soon as the tent is available, hopefully do this entire grow on fog alone.😬 Root prune test, two plants on the right are getting pruned, the left are not. The goal is to build thick tap roots to form a beard-like rhizome. The largest root is roughly 5mm diameter. I believe it's working.

And some nice lemon smells are coming from that area. Buds are super hard. As you get down deep to the end, she's still a tad soft. Last few days she's been finishing what's left in her pot. Cherry Cola is just coming across the finish line. Just want to give credit to the SP 3000 she manged to pull off an astounding 11 plants. Yes, all at different stages. But for the past 2 months she's had 11 rocking and has achieved 500+g and 4 more to add to that.

So we are in week 2 of flower I ran out of Dutch pro and my hydro shop didn't have any in stock so I had to swap to canna 450ml A&B I've also added some bud blood. So today I did some defoliation to anything below my scrog net and tucked some of the bigger fan leaves to expose the new bud sites. I also raised my light a few inches to allow the ladies to grow into it. 21/5/21 The girls are growing fast I did some defoliation 2 days ago and I had to repeat today 26/5/21 Took some fan leaves off that where blocking bud sites only a small handful needed to be removed, I gave them a feed ppm 946 ph 6.3, bud sites are looking nice and healthy I've got plenty of air flow throughout my tent, have yet to notice any aroma but still very early days. That's all for now gays and gals happy growing and pleasant smoking ;)

Day 71 🌤️☀️🌤️🌥️ 13-23 degrees, humidity 53-78%. I start into the 11th week with an intense check of the trichomes. Tropicana started to produce amber and blue trichomes, next to purple and pink. The purple get’s darker and the appearance of the flowers change to a beautiful bouquet of fragrant colours. Day 72 ☁️🌧️☁️⛈️ 15-24 degrees, humidity 69-84%. Today my plants needed to be canopied again because of strong rainfall. I‘m glad that I have this opportunity while they continue standing outside and ripening. I take some fotos of Tropicana and her trichomes, gave her one liter of pure rainwater and let her wait for the next sunny days. And wait, and wait probably several more days. Day 73 - End of spring, beginning of summer! 🤓 🌧️☁️🌧️☁️17-25 degrees, humidity is 70-90%. Got to have an eye on the flowers, they are dry but the humidity is too high for doing nothing. Today in the evening I took a few leafs of my plants for a relax tee. A nightingale is singing next to our balcony. Love it! Day 74 🌧️🌧️☁️🌧️ 19-24 degrees, humidity is 75-90%. 4/20: I have 3 good clones of the shortie growing, and another FFT6 seedling. 5/1: The seedling is now in a 5 gallon pot outdoors, and 2 of the clones are in my closet getting ready to be transplanted into 5 gallon pots and moved outdoors. One of the FFT6 clones will be grown in my tiny tent. 5/6: I took the last two clones outdoors and fed them really well. I also did some training on the seedling and the clone in my tiny tent. 5/7: I did a foliar application of Axiom Harpin proteins today. 5/9-5/11: Did foliar feeding and lots of training every day. 5/12 - 5/17: Fed the outdoor girls on the 13th, then we had lots of rain all week. The seedling is a beast. Installed a new 200w 3000k waterproof LED over the outdoor plants. The indoor clone looks great. I gave her some water on the 16th. 5/18 - 5/19: The seedling and two clones outdoors are all flowering?!?! I suppose it's because I germ'd and vegged them for a month under 24/0 before taking them outdoors under 14/10 of daylight... I'm really hoping she sees the days getting longer and goes back to vegging. I need time to bush her up really well! I ordered another 200w 3000k waterproof LED to replace the two cool white 60w LED's, so that will be 550w total watts of lighting outdoors in addition to the 5'ish hours of direct sunlight they get at mid-day, and the tree-diffused sunlight they get for the rest of the day. Thinking about trying a product called Bud Bomb...has lots of hormones, cytokinins, and auxins that when applied at the beginning of flowering supposedly causes more lateral branching and less vertical stretch. As it is, I'm spending too much time training her and the other outdoor plants to stay below the eyeline of nosy neighbors, so I'm really considering giving it a shot... 5/20: I went for it and sprayed them with Bud Bomb this morning...hope it works like they claim.. 5/21 - 7/4: The clone i grew in the tiny tent got to move in under the quantum boards for her last 2 weeks and fattened up nicely. I harvested her on 6/28 and washed her buds, then jarred and weighed her on 7/3. She produced 110g of cola and 51g of lower bud...very little of it was larfy.👍 After a few great weeks flowering outdoors, i was invaded by spider mites and grasshoppers. The #6 seed-grown plant didn't make it, but i brought the #6 clone indoors and treated her for spider mites a few times, along with the 2 x #1 clones and the #7 plant. That outdoor clone now in my closet is still flowering as of 7/4, but had her last dose of nutes on 7/3. Flushing in a few days.
