22/08/18 - everything’s looking great I’m sure they will be finished stretching sometime this week and also should be getting an additional LED to add to the tent by the end of the week. Also started to lolly pop each plant took about a 1/4 of the leaves etc so far will see how it reacts to this to see if I can continue to 1/3. 24/08/18 - lookin good 48hr after I trimmed the bottom branches/big ass fan leaves in the shade looking miserable so i had to chop em. Still waiting on my extra led in the post.

Well I’m closing this one out. I had a lot of problems with humidity outside and bud rot, in hindsight i read a few reviews in the last few weeks and purple kush is susceptible to bud rot. I did 2 separate harvest, one on the 9th and one on the 14th. I collected everything I could smoke, there is still buds left on the plants but because of bud rot and immature buds I’m saying fuck it. Sonoma seeds quotes 9-10 weeks flower i harvested at week 8 and week 9. I harvested just shy of a pound total, and just over and oz of “purple” looking weed. Between you guys and i, the purple one was pretty shwaggy as far as bud goes. Would i grow this again outdoors? NOPE. Would i try it indoors? You will have to stay tuned for my next grow. If you plan to grow this strain outdoors do not do it. The fact that it’s pretty much 100%indica it does not like to get wet,🤦‍♂️🏻 if you are in the desert, indoors or live in Afghanistan (lineage) go for it. The taste is also not quite what I expected, all the reviews say grapes, but i taste a neutral taste. Some of it smells quite good in the jars but as soon as you smell each bud it smells like spicy woody herb with some dank undertone. Trimming it i had some sort of dank spicy smell i just can’t put my fingers on, except it was all over them. The buzz is “ok”but nothing to knock your socks off with. It is a stimulating feeling followed by a calm “not sleepy” feeling. I haven’t grown many outdoor variety’s but I’m sure most of them turn out the same. I’m waiting for my indoor no name to finish and I can start trying to redeem myself with my leftover seeds, and hopefully get the true quality/if there is, with this purple kush strain. 12/7 These ladies are doing great! Really focusing on their buds. We added a small bit of cal mag and it seemed to pretty much stop any brown growth. #1 is just stacking buds while #2 has more and more cloudy trichomes daily. Started doing a little bit of defoliation to open up those inner sites, just gonna do a little more when she recovers from the last sessions. We are getting close to the finish line, hang in there!

Started on Christmas and ready before Easter. It felt like a very fast Grow. I had no Problems at all.....................They were sitting in my Soilmix, and during Vegetation NO NUTRIENTS--- ONLY AZOSPIRILLIUM In Blooming I started with Composttea. Iam very excited how she Tastes after curing. In flower she smelled Orange/ Grapefruit and flower. Just like a Lady should smell^^ I will ad a smokingreport as soon after curing as possible............................ day 90 - I think I must br super-close to harvest, but newbie first grow nerves have set in, and so will ask the community (again) if the time is right to harvest. The white pistils have started to turn brown, but I'm not sure if I'm looking at the right thing, as I'm not sure that pistils are the same things as trichomes, so not even sure I'm looking at the right thing under the loupe. haven't done this weeks feed yet. Also, ph has dropped quite dramtically to 5.23, so want to get on top of that if it's not yet harvest day. ppm has also halved since the beginning of the week, so not sure if thats a good or bad thing.

The buds are incredibly dense and completely frosted with thick, glistening trichomes – it almost looks like they’ve been dusted with snow. Resin production is off the charts, especially on the top colas. Trichomes: Mostly milky with some still clear – no ambers yet. She's not quite ready, but getting close. 🔸 Climate control has improved. Humidity started the week at 63%, but with the dehumidifier now running and all clip fans at full power, it's being maintained steadily between 50–60%. That little climate shift is definitely helping – the buds are chunking up without any signs of stress. The slight 2–3°C increase in tent temperature is worth it. 🔸 Nutrients: 1 week of Overdrive (Advanced Nutrients) before the flush phase. There is very little to do with the plants, they are getting fatter by the day and frostier by the day. I found out I was giving them way too much nutrient so I started giving them 0.4 EC less (its still a work in progress). The lights are still on 85%. It is starting to smell more and more sour and there is also a fresh lemon smell coming from it now.

Day 50. Still a lot larger than I anticipated. But the good news is she still fits in the 3x3 and is showing signs of slowing down the stretch. Iv heard people burning up their plants using canna PH13/14. So I’m going to mess around with a couple dosages and see how she handles it. So far this method has done almost exactly what I wanted. Stayed about a foot shorter with a much more even canopy. In about 10 days she will be getting another heavy defoliation. Update day 54. Heavy defoliation under way to expose bud sites. In about 6 days I’m going for mt first schwazzing. Should be a good time Update: As week 8 comes to an end I and very happy with the progress. I’ve bumped the ec up to 2.8. Will continue on that for a little bit longer. Day 60 about I will do my first “schwazzing” pretty excited about that.
