Paint does not dry, nor does water boil under a watchful eye. I got a new supplemental light. Mars 600. It was only $100. Number 1 continues to brown out the hairs. Nearly all done now. Trichomes are getting milky. I trimmed off a larfy bid this week and speed dried it. Was awesome. Taste was amazing even with the speed dry. Number 2 continues to put on a show. It looks like this plant was in a blizzard. So many trichomes, loaded, and continuing to put them on. No amber, but they are definitely getting whiter. On top of those purple leaves, she is dazzling, and smells like juicy fruit bubble gum. I tried a small bud of this as well, it was excellent. Super mutant looks like she is going through a deficiency..... Again.... How much nutrients can a plant drink before it would be considered toxic? Just kidding, I'm from the probation era and have smoked green oil mixed with motor oil. 😊 So, in lieu of the awesome taste on the bud, I'm not doing a flush like everyone says for a week. Canna nutrients are pretty mellow. I figure if I flush the last day, I'll be ok. The super mutant, I figure this plant is going to grow forever and will definitely need a good flushing.

Week 10 Week 3 of Flower This plant has exploded over the course of a week. She is starting to crowd out her tent mate a little at this point lol. I had to do another round of defoliating because the fan leaves on this plant get so big! I am pretty impressed with the stretch and vigorous growth this week. Doggo update Couple vids sprinkled in here. Love doing slo-mo with frisbee throws and treats catching in their mouth. Slo Mo vids didn’t upload slo mo so I had to go thru and edit them and screen record it just to get them in slow mo on the site but they’re worth it Dukes ear has been bugging him and so he pins it down sometimes with the other ear straight up and he looks goofy as hell.

- Switch from a MH Bulb to an HPS Bulb - Discover "Fimming" a form of LST were you bend the stem to maintain its height. Not ideal for autos but seemed to work based on a small sample size. - First week were I trimmed leaves from the plant. From research I found that most people suggest not to trim the autos as they have less time to recover. I found that if you have very healthy plants it can be done but to a point - Had some brown spots forming on the leaves. From what I could figure out it is called Leaf Septoria and is caused by to much humidity and not enough air circulation. Trimmed all leaves with brown spots which was only a few - Last feeding for the big 3 at 1/4 strength

Harvest Part One, Day 93: First harvest of the Main colas, as a lot of the trichomes turned brown. An awful lot of work to trim wet, but wanted to get rid of all the dryed leaves. A comment on another diary said leaves turned yellow because of possible lockout. Well, i cant deny it, but i have no experience at all with it. In hindsight i should have used a lot more fertilizer during the vegi phase, i guess, because this monster turned out to be super hungry (if that makes sense). Density after removing the leaves is ok i think. Expected a bit more to be honest. Massive headbuds still though. However, kinda „raw“ on the inside as you can see by the color and general appearance. So wondering if it was to early still. Alright, half of the plant cut down, and placed in dryferm bags (compare to dryaging but tailored to Cannabis), as i have mentioned before. Still in the process, after like 7 days half of the weight gone already. A Bit more to go i think. I think i will post another update with the bottom part of the plant and for sure one with the finished product. So far very surprising strain in a positive way, still very delicate smell (i get the „doughy“ and in a sense creamy part of dutch Passions Description, its very subtile though and not much else, almost citrusy tea like), great yield, grows somewhat easy but probably isnt easy to maintain and doesnt like errors in handling. All in all im very happy and cant wait to try the First Buds. So far 7.5/10 — very decent. Let‘s see how it performs. Might change the evaluation then. And sorry, might totally be wrong about everything. Let me know your opinion, criticism, etc., please!

The time is finally here to post the harvest. I waited till it was all done and dry before updating the dairy so will add in the dry weights next on the 2nd half of the harvest entry. Had some ups and downs with this plant. mainly the extreme yellowing that was happening. I should have treated this faster with a flush but was super reluctant and I feel this has suffered in the end. The top best looking buds could have been larger and the lower ones could have been thicker. There is some smells with this plant but they are not pronounced. Just smells like mild basic weed, this would be one reason not to grow it, however, the crystals on this plant have been the most I've ever grown before. When trimming them every time the scissors snipped or the brush stroked I saw some falling down onto the tray. This plant would be great for making hash. had a good little ball of finger hash at the end of it and will be giving that to my friends to smoke or make a strong edible with. I don't plan on growing this strain out again, the lack of smells and the fact I'm only trying to grow cbd dominate plants is the main reason. If my friends really like this I have some clones so can always give them some. Speaking of clones they are doing well outside, greened up a lot and showing signs of revegging. Took some photos of the weed hang drying on day 1 in the tent and a week later to show how much they shrink. most of the lower growth is quite larfy but will make good edibles or hash, that will be a fun project to do and may include that in my projects diary. I converted the cents into dollar amounts beforehand to avoid dividing by 100. 8.2c/h = 0.082$/h 438h * 0.17c/kwh = $74.46kw * 0.15kw = $11.17 on peak 522h * 0.113c/kwh = $58.99kw *0.15kw = $8.85 mid peak 1,272h * 0.082c/kwh = $104.30kw *0.15kw = $15.65 off peak The "h" hours and "kw" kilowatts cancel out and we are left with a value of $ dollars per peak period, add all the peak periods up and you get your total cost of running the lights in dollars. $11.17 + $8.85 + $15.65 = $35.67 for the grow light only. My light grew for 20 weeks and 4 days, or 144 days. almost 21 weeks total. $35.67 / 144d = 0.2477$/d average of about 25c a day in electricity 337.2kw for the entire grow. Using the regular calculation of grams harvested divided by watts used is not accurate to me, it does not account for all the time the lamps are on, the length of grow to the over all cost. The calculation that makes sense to me is this, harvested dry weight of usable cannabis buds/trim/keif/whatever in grams divided by total kw used. Could also combine it with grams per total single use costs “anything you used only for this grow and wont reuse in the next, or fractions of multi use items like fertilizers if they ½ full” and see how much you’re investing per gram. "kw" ÷ "g" = kw/g "$" ÷ "g" = $/g I have harvested 5.34oz or 151.6g on 337.2kw. 337.2kw ÷151.6g = 2.22 kw/g of usable cannabis. This is not an ideal ratio for me and looks like a lot of energy waste happened from the extended veg period. $35.67 ÷ 151.6g = 0.24c/g It cost 24c/g when comparing total electricity cost to gross yield, almost identical to the comparison of total electrical cost to the number of days in the grow 25c/day. Harvest: Everything dried up to 347 grams + 96 grams of super high quality trim. Overall I am not too pleased with the smoke of the product. Although the bud size, bag appeal, smell and taste are pretty much all there, the shitty burn is a deal breaker for me and the majority of this weed is quite frankly useless. Another downside is while smoking I’ve found 4 seeds in an ounce from almost every strain. Light leaks? At least I learned a ton, including how to get super good burn for my next crop. I’m hoping that curing for a month or so will improve the burn but I wouldn’t really count on it. I have seen weed dried for 4 days with no cure and no flush smoke clean and not go out once. I have been told that the key to white ashes/clean burn is proper mineral content in the soil and there is tons of scientific studies on cigar ash going back 100 years. Plants grown in a medium with high levels of decomposing organic matter, phosphorus, magnesium, chlorine and heavy metal ratio tend to produce black/grey ash. Whereas plants grown in a medium with a higher ratio of trace minerals like calcium carbonate and potassium in the form of wood ash, rock dusts, oyster shell flour and lower levels of decomposing organic matter will produce a dense, uniform white ash that rarely goes out. But this is still all theory until I test it to confirm for myself a few times. My last few outdoor harvests did not improve with curing at all so I’m hoping this will be the missing link. Plain peat moss and coco clearly lack essential minerals that help burn. If said theory is correct I should find a synthetic nutrient line with more trace minerals. Makes me wonder if growing if rockwool/basalt rock could improve burn in a hydro setup. I think I did a fairly decent job for my first grow. I went wrong in a million different places but I still stuck it out and got some decent herb. Things went wrong early when I got black spot mold, nitrogen/magnesium deficiencies and powdery mildew. I corrected most of it but things didn’t get really bad until mid veg when I intentionally skipped a few feedings and defoliated quite heavily stunting the plants. I also didn’t even top or start LST until the 6-9th node which was really stupid and hurt my yield. My temperatures were all over the place from the learning curve. I was severely overwatering without realizing it. 100% peat moss is a shitty medium. I also fed way too late in flower (not what caused shitty burn). I also used synthetic nutrients in soil. I have been using LST in the form of a fan on medium speed to try and strengthen the main stalk of the plant as well as planter rotation to strengthen the main stalk for tie down LST. So far I've been impressed with the rate of growth and the overall experiment. For what it's worth, the growth wth is very very similar to a hydroponics growth. I'm sure as the experiment continues I'll notice some big differences. It does appear to have either a minor potassium deficiency or a little too much nitrogen. Will monitor and update as needed. The above signs may have been trying to indicate the main stalk was weakening from too much weight from vertical grow rate. This would ultimately lead to a fractured stalk. Is this what happened or is it a fungus or disease problem? Plant C sprouted within 48hrs and will be 6 days behind Plant A. End goal of harvest is still 360g from the two plants combined. Both plants are looking very happy regardless of the toxicity or deficiency. Strong strain nonetheless.

NY Diesel Auto Feminised is an auto-flowering version of the celebrated New York City Diesel. It is mostly indica while also displaying some sativa-like cerebral effects to accompany the deep relaxation that it provides. NY Diesel Auto grows to a height of 60 – 100 cm. tall and develops plenty of side-branches that produce nice, dense buds. Growers can harvest yields of yields of around 600 gr/m2 in just 60 - 70 days from germination. This strain can also be grown successfully outdoors due to the hardy ruderalis genetics. The scent is very dank with notes of diesel fuel. THC production is in the region of 14 – 16% while CBD levels are around 2%. The overall effect has an initial cerebral quality leading into bodily relaxation and a sense of wellbeing while not being physically incapacitating 10/5 Dropped two NY Diesel Auto seeds into a shotglass of room temp spring water. Placed the shotglass in a dark warm cupboard. I will be preparing the medium today as well. The plan is 24 hours in the shotglass, 24 hours in a wet paper towel, then straight into 3gal fabric pots that have already been cooking for 2 days. They'll go under 18/6 with RH at 60% to 70%. 10/6 One seed has a tiny tap root and is still floating in the glass. The other seed fell to the bottom but has no taproot. Letting them stay in the shotglass another 12 hours. 10/7 Diesel #2 Half inch tap root and she sank to the bottom of the shotglass finally. I wet the coco-perl with PH 6.35 room temp water with Fish Sh!t in it. Let's grow Diesel #3 without Fish Sh!t for comparison. Diesel #3 She has a miniscule taproot and it's black. Could just be film from the seed case where it cracked. I put her in a damp paper towel and stuck her in the dish washer. We'll check back in 12 hours. 12 hours later, no change. Then I realized I forgot to put it in a zip lock. The paper towel was still wet tho. Put it in a zip lock, will check in the morning. 10/8 We have a taproot on NY Diesel #3. Put some Azos in the drop site and sowed the seed. Half a shot glass of water to seal it in. 18/6, 67% RH, 80°f
