End of Week 9 of Flower. I can just taste those buds now! The smell is intoxicating and the view is picturesque. There is definitely a noticeable difference between the two pheno's but I suspect both will pack a good punch. There has been some purpling in some of the top leaves which I expect will increase with the drop in temperature the last week or so. I cant wait to get some good pictures at the end of the week as Ive decided the chop day will be this coming Sunday. The clash of yellow, purple and green is always my favourite so I plan to capture as much as possible since the next update will be jam packed with pictures of the girls just before their chop and after 48 hours of darkness to get the last of that resin production from the plant. I will also take some pics of the hanging plants in the drying cupboard. The reason I am leaving my plants in darkness for 48 hours before they get chopped, is that it has been long belived that this practice will increase the last of the thrichome production and some say increases potency. There has been a recent study in the Netherlands which does confirm increased resin production for plants left in 48 hours of darkness (they also tested 24 hours darkness but found 48 was better) at the end of their flower cycle. The chop has been planned to be pretty straight forward where I will just be taking off the main fan leaves and leaves with no thrichomes as well as chopping off the larfy/popcorn buds which will go straight in the freezer for a fresh frozen bubble hash run. I dont bud wash my flower as my tent gets a regular clean each week and always gets a full deep clean when every harvest is over and besides, its only me and my friends that smoke it! The drying cupboard I use for drying is a small cupboard designed for storing and drying clothes which I have put a carbon filter and fan as well as a small desk fan to circulate the air as well as a small dehumidifier just incase there is an increase in humidity. So the basics of drying is that you want the area where you are drying to be dark and fairly cool (its recommended to be between 15 and 22 degrees C), have a humidity level between 45% and 55%. I aim for around 21 degrees C temperature and 50% humidity. The drying time can vary depending on strain but its recommended to dry the buds for 7 - 10 days and I will explain further about how to tell if your bud is done drying and is ready to be cured on the next post. Drying is very important as you can affect all your hard work if the conditions arent right and the bud ends up too dry (luckily these days there are ways to fix bud thats too dry) or you end up with mouldy ganja which isnt save to smoke. Its also believed that a good long dry in good conditions helps increase potency and also has been shown to reduce anxiety. The solo cup Afghani x Mac1 from DNA Junkies is coming to an end. These sticky buds are starting to fade and turning a blueish purple. The smell is strong. Very fruit forward with petrol. Still feeding off the last top dressing.

Perfect strain to grow, easy, fast and sweet as sugar totally covered in trichomes. The plants showed a very equaled and stable genetics and are very generous with a little care, this strain is almost like walking directly into a dutch candy shop with all kind of winegum smells, simply perfect.

Well today is day 84 and she's just about done.. I flushed her with 3 gallons of water twice in the last week and now I'm just feeding water to a little runoff for another day or two.. I want to point out that this plant smells exactly like blueberry Pop-Tarts.. that is not an exaggeration it is literally the same smell.. I really really hope that that doesn't go away and stays throughout the cure.. hopefully this weather cools down so I can dry it at an appropriate temperature and not lose these precious terpenes that smell so good.. this is my second fast buds grow the first was kosher cake and that was awesome I tried the Afghan Kush but I ended up getting rid of her because of too many mutations and I didn't have the room for plant that wasn't going to grow right.. so two out of three so far have been great I know this flower is going to be awesome.. hope everyone is doing well and happy growing ✌️😎

She's not stacking as good as I hope on the top four colas. For my taste there's too much space between each node. The bottom growth isn't getting that much light anymore but there's some little bud sites.. No smell yet but I'm guessing that'll kick in next week. That's it for this week. This week the plants are developing very nice new shoots with a good stretch as well a good amount of bud sites.

Both plants are responding well to training so far, & canopies are manageable & flat. Expression #1 is loving the training, & is naturally spreading horizontally, while Expression #2 is shooting new nodes & branching aggressively. Week 5 from sprout. Welp the girls are in there stretching phase and there's a few alternating nodes. And ive switched some things so I'll try to be thorough for any future people reading. First i took out the two house speakers the pants were sitting on and put them on the floor. Which put my lights back at about 25 inches from the canopy.... again... I have a cut up air mattress lining the bottom and side as a make shift tub to catch the runoff. Honestly dunno how ima drain or empty it yet but i have 2 inches of a closet to figure that out. I reluctantly switched to tap water today, my ppm of straight cold water was 255 so hopefully the chlorine evaporates and the water temp raises before i water them. On that subject, I've switched up their feeding. A combination of cal mag, grow, and bloom. About 1.5 ml per gal of all three. Will be feeding this until the flowering stretch stops in a week or so at which time I'll omit the grow and cal mag and feed bloom. Each plant gets 1.5 liters 2 times a day. (Unless im busy/ lazy). Will update ppm when i get things dialed in. Took a good amount of leaves outta necessity of space and light.... and kinda to purposely stress them out jus a little to slow their growth just a tad.. I'm keeping the same 20/4 light schedule. As of right now still have the one led light. Which is why i keep having to move the lights/ plants. So i get as close to the sweet spot of par as possible. They're definitely sativa dominant and 4 plants are 30 inches or more. The small one is about 20 inches. . Ps.... I had to write all this shit twice cause my phone died.
