🌱 Grow Journal – Week 5 Week 5 of veg, and things are looking better. The plant has clearly shown signs of recovery since last week’s transplant and repot. It’s gained back some strength, which is really good to see. I took off the dome because it felt way too hot underneath. Without it, the environment is much easier for the plant. I also switched on bottom feeding by opening the Autopot valve. Now the nutrient solution wicks up from below, and that seems to have helped a lot. Not an instant boost, more like the steady support it was missing. I think it was slightly under-irrigated before. The plant is now back on track and should return to normal growth over the next weeks. The start was rough, but I’m glad to see it hanging on and gaining vigor again. I also turned on the air pump to run the AirDome at the bottom of the Autopot, giving the roots more oxygen. We’ll keep an eye on how it responds this week. As for conditions, it’s still pretty hot: temps around 25–27 °C, sometimes hitting 30 °C. Humidity stays low, about 50%, not ideal but manageable. That’s it for this week. ok so ive repotted the clones into bigger pots and im thinking of moving them outside tbh i wanna get rid of this strain has done it for last 2 crops took a few weeks to notice any new growth roots forming etc but now plants are looking good and ready to be vegged properly

Ran into a a light stress issue but all is under control now

Plants started getting real bushy a couple of days after topping. Low Stress Trained all the plants at the end of the week by tying them down using rubber coated garden wire to spread out the newly grown tops. Also spaced out each plant evenly on the tray and turned on the other 2 PB2000 LED lights I had ready to go.

Holy! Gorilla Cookies has really changed since last week. This plant is the size of a small child now, the buds are massive. There is a lot of fading and dead leaves becoming more prevalent. She is definitely coming to an end but still not seeing amber trichomes. Humidity is back down to the 50s and I’m checking for mold every day.

For the Grow section on my page: Throughout the germination stage, I explored three distinct seed germination techniques: the direct soil implantation, immersion in a hydroponic medium, and the classic paper towel method. My tests involved the Gods Gift autoflower from Premium Cultivators, Northern Lights from Royal Queen Seed Bank, and the F1 Epsilon strain, also from Royal. My primary focus, however, has been on the F1 Epsilon strain. As part of my shift towards commercial operations, I'm currently pushing the potential of these seeds to achieve maximum efficiency and productivity. I'm in the midst of identifying the optimal strains for my commercial venture. My objective, quite simply, is to strike an optimal balance between quality and yield for my future cannabis crops. With astute business planning and leveraging emerging laws, I plan to provide these products at a significantly lower price than my competitors. End of Germination Stage - Staring Vegetation Stage Day 9 - I inadvertently oversaturated my plants with nutrients, which led to the immediate demise of two plants. A key lesson learned was that utilizing old woolite medium is not advisable. Instead, using dirt plugs proves to be a more effective method. Moreover, it's crucial to ensure that nutrients are introduced directly into the water supply to avoid any potential harm to the plants. Additional Note: For enhanced root stability and quicker access to the water supply, it's important to situate the dirt plugs deeply within the pebbles. Also ensure germination process as follows: 12 hour soak, drop into soil plug deep into hydroponics pebble medium.

19/07/20 (Sunday) 7AM - Set 4 seeds to germinate in cups of water (Trinidad and Tobago, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Jamaica, Columbia) 7PM - St. Vincent and the Grenadines seed shows taproot 9PM - Trinidad and Tobago seed shows taproot 10PM - Seed from Jamaica shows taproot 11PM - Set the 3 germinated seeds into individual half gallon pots filled with promix. 20/07/20 11AM - SVG seed rises to the soil level 8PM - Jamaican follows suit 11PM - TT also exposes itself 21/07/20 The weather and forecast for the week show scattered showers and the seedlings are showing early signs of stretching so I decide to build a makeshift grow tent to supplement their light cycle while bringing them outside for a minimum of 4 hours every day to acclimate them. I decided on a 75W output LED bulb with a temperature of 6500K and 1055 lumens while using my room fan to simulate wind for healthy stem growth. 22/07/20 The plants show slowed stretch symptoms but still not to the level I want, so I revamp the 'grow tent' with reflective material (crumpled aluminium foil for more reflective surfaces) and upgraded the bulb to a 100W output LED with the same temperature and a higher luminousity of 1350. One cotyledon on the SVG strain was broken but not completely sheared off, but I'll leave it to its own devices. 23/07/20 Columbian seed has yet to germinate so I added another from my backups. 24/07/20 Seedlings have shown normal rates of growth so I think the current grow tent is sufficient. When I took them outside they endured light gusts and rainfall for a half hour during their sun bask. I decided to add foil to the door of the tent to trap more light in. 25/07/20 Tropical Storm Gonzalo may make landfall today and the skies are set up for thunderstorms so I decided to keep the plants in their indoor setup for the full 18hrs of their light cycle. Since both Columbian seeds still show no signs of germination, I decide to go collect another strain. I got my hands on a 21 day old Dominican Republic strain that was grown in a seedling tray and left there; It was fed once with 20-20-20 and calmag. The cotyledons were white, the stem red between the top nodes and yellow the rest of the way down, the leaves a light green, and it was no taller than 2 inches excluding it's 1 inch sq root cube. I immediately transplanted it into my remaining half gallon pot upon returning home, dampened the soil with my spray bottle and left it to sit with the others and finish the light cycle.

Hello. This is the end of week 1 and the beginning of week 2 of flowering. Man have these plant shot up. It's at this point that I could put in a net but I haven't figured out how to tie it in and still open the tent form the inside too. I'll just tie up the branches to the top roof poles when the branches start to fall over like last year. I already have the clips and twine I used last year. I gave the plants their first mixed flowering plant food last week, which is why they shot up so much. I'll let the plants just grow this week and then do my final trimming/pruning next week. Although these plant will be finished around 9 weeks of flowering I like to grow them 10 weeks. When I first started growing inside I wanted stuff that finished fast. 45 to 55 days is what I grew back then. But then I thought about growing 9 weeks and a whole group of plant that I wasn't growing opened up to me. Now I like to grow all the plants to 10 weeks. And now that I have more space I'm think about growing sativa's up to 14 weeks and collecting some pollen for crosses. I like Ace Seeds for sativa's. On to book 4 of the Fat Freddie's Cat series. Germination 07/09/2022 Hi to all the old and new growers out there. Spring has barely started but I'm so AMPED to start again. My first grow attempt was a disaster. I started to early for the season. I wasted some good seeds and those Blasted 🐌 🐌 snails messed up everything. Got up started again and took it as a learning curve. I had 1 seed left from the previous attempt and this had to be the golden ticket. The first important thing I learned was getting to the correct pH. Used a 1 liter jug not knowing that the pH down was very concentrated substance. Added 1ml of pH down to tap water with a base of 8.5+ pH and brought it down all the way to less than 4.5 pH. I probably tried like 5 times and realized that a single drop made a difference of about 2 pH. I got the feel of it and had to source a better water supply. I had the option of using tap water but didn't have the time to do a 24 hour airstone run ever time I wanted to water the plants. The local water supply shop was a better option. I got a consistent 6 pH and the price was decent. The Snail 🐌 Problem... I have a plan for those F**kers. We have 2 very nice hydroponic shops in my city. defoliating this week and going to begin cutting off the nutrients ive been giving them. Plant 2 is ahead of the others currently, with a super citrus smell coming off of it. It smells like dank oranges. It smells super clean, very excited to see the progress they make this week. They grow up so fast 😄
