Day 29 and starting off Week 4 awesome even with my big mistake and not knowing that on mainlining you top first time at third node but the second toppings you can do at first with enough growth but in waited till 3rd on both new mains.. o well you live and learn but hey she looks like shes doing fine atleast will have some nice buds Day 32 update: Now that I have the fungus gnats under control everything has been perfect.. used Foxfarm SledgeHammer to water her to flush all that extra leftover salts in the soil out from the grow nutes, because will be switching to my bloom nutes on next watering, and she seems to have liked it.

Day 85 - Starting week 13 today and it’s starting to look like she’s got about 2 weeks or so left. The trichs are about 75% cloudy right and the pistils are starting to shrivel up quite a bit now. I’ll probably give her another week or so then will start flushing her. Day 86 - Gave her two gallons of water and cal-mag today, pH’d at 6.7. She’s definitely starting to fade out now so next watering, I might just go ahead and start to flush her out because it’s starting to look like she ain’t got much time left. Pistils are starting to really shrivel and it’s mostly cloudy trichs throughout. She’s got a lot of weight to her and had to add a few more yo-yo’s to keep her colas held up. Day 87 - Ole girl is starting her fade now and she’s just about all cloudy and even seeing a few ambers in there. Going to go ahead and start the “flush” her next watering, which will be tomorrow. I might not do a full and complete chop when the time comes but I’ll get the big and main colas off and see if I can get the smaller stuff underneath to fatten up a bit before chopping the rest. Day 88 - Looking like this time next week, I might be giving this girl the chop finally. The trichs are completely cloudy with about 10% amber so today for her water, I followed the Technaflora chart and gave her 5ML of Magical and 80ML of SugarDaddy in 2 gallons of water pH’d to 6.5. She’s been getting 2 gallons of water every other day so after today and until harvest, she’ll get just straight pH’d water. The buds are fat, heavy, frosty and the yo-yo’s are the only thing really holding her up. She’s fading fast so hopefully this final week, the pistils will finish dying off and if she needs a little more time, I’ll give it to her. Day 89 - She’s getting close to chopping, thinking next weekend will be the day. Gonna give her one more week to fatten up. She is an absolutely stunning girl and pictures don’t do any justice. She’ll be getting some straight pH’d water tomorrow. Day 90 - Gave the girl 2 gallons of plain pH’d to 6.4 water today. She’s got a week or so left and will most likely chop her next Saturday. Most of her colas are so far and dense, this will probably be my best and biggest harvest to date. Day 91 - The end of week 13 and tomorrow will most likely begin the final week before chopping this beauty. She’ll get another 2 gallons of plain water tomorrow and that she’ll only be getting plain water till the end. The buds are so fat and dense, frosty as hell and the smell is just amazing. Should be my top harvest.

I started feeding liquid nutrients this week. Although I’m using Nature’s Living Soil Super Soil Autoflower Concentrate mixed with Fox Farm Ocean Forest—so technically I could water only until harvest—I decided to begin liquid feeding in Week 3 at half the recommended dose. I also have a Tray2Grow Autopot system for automatic bottom feeding, but I haven’t activated it yet. When using liquid nutrients via top feeding, I’d need to turn the Autopot system off and wait until the plants absorb all the water in the tray before feeding from the top. Afterward, I’d have to manually turn the system back on. That seems like a hassle compared to just hand-watering and feeding. I could technically add the liquid nutrients to the Autopot reservoir, but that somewhat defeats the purpose of the system. The tank holds 25 gallons—enough to last a few weeks—but if I want to change or rotate nutrients weekly, I’d have to dump the remaining water and remix the solution each time. If I wanted to feed nutrients every other watering, I’d be changing out the tank every 3 days. Plus, liquid nutrients can cause buildup, so I’d need to clean the reservoir and all the tubing regularly. For now, I’ll stick with hand-watering and top feeding. I’ll only switch to the Autopot system if I need to leave town.

Getting very tall, I thought this one would stay shorter?! This is my go-to night time pain relief with good sleep strain. She will be staying indoors for safekeeping so hopefully I can guarantee to have some flower from her.

Cut a week early and a little bit of drama along the way, some issues with persistent bud rot from week 14 or so most likely caused by my blocked intake filter. I learned a lot during this grow and will take these experiences and hopefully turn them into a better next time! Will definitely have another go at growing Royal Gorilla in the not too distant future, however I think I have enough to smoke on for quite some time. Overall appearance of the buds and their structure are not as pretty as my last run, however the flavours, yield (1.48 gpw) and potency make up for that imo. This was a big girl to harvest. She came in at 417.3 g dry, which is a personal best for me. Additionally, I received 36g of nice trim for my tincture. The buds aren't the biggest I have grown, but they are some of the tightest! I really enjoyed growing this clone. She filled out the tent well using a type of SCROG to get the most out of the grow area. I dried the buds on a drying rack for 10 days, and then gave them a nice rough trim. Since this is all for personal use, I don't worry about making them pretty, just functional. She is a sticky girl, and gummed up my scissors more than once. That is a good problem to have! I put the trimmed buds in my Grove 1/2 gal bags for the cure. I have found these bags to be EXCELLENT to cure my buds. No burping is required, they preserve the terps, and keep the humidity between 58 and 62. Perfect! My best harvest to date!
