Ending the fifth week of flower, we are humming right along. Needless to say, weeks 1 to 4 of flower is where the hard work comes into play (pre and post flower top dressings, PPFD light adjustment, defoliation, structure netting, etc.). Now, it's just a matter of ensuring good health until harvest. Towards end of this week five, you can see the canopy of buds gaining in density and weight. I'll continue to gauge whether or not a second netting is needed. The super soil medium was top dressed at the end of week four, so that's it in terms of feeding. The final tea will take place at end of week six. Thereafter, ph'd water until harvest. The estimated harvest window is January 28 (day 56) to February 11 (70 days). Aside from the physical beauty of these girls, the smell is getting stronger by the day. Installing new carbon filter today. The plant has some potential it makes some huge nugs very much old school genetics. The buds are not gas or anything but the plant is a production monster . I’d love to run the plant outdoors and see it grow some massive buds…. The plants main problem is it’s a super crazy heavy feeder no matter what I threw at it it was never enough the leaves constantly had deficiencies from lack of nutrients probably because it grows a lot it’s a shot plant but it’s nag all over

I have been blown away every at step with this plant, my first grow! I've grown before but not like this and that is why I refer to myself as a newbie or this being the first time. Dutch Passion was an obvious choice for me as they were the only legit seeds I ever had experience with many many years ago. Watching the Auto Orange develop "daily" and the scent getting more and more focused was a joy and even with a window on the tent I found myself opening it enough to get my head in and get a good back of the nose full creamy citrusy assault.

Lemon Cherry Cookies and Purple Lemonade looking not healty at all. But the Buds are quiete impressive Gorilla Cookies almost reached my light, was thinking about bend her 90° at the top main Bud (HST), but decided against. just let it grow👽👻

Since sprouting above ground I've been top watering RO water until the roots hit the water. I also covered the net pots with reflective film to avoid any light leaking into the rdwc system to avoid any issues later on in the grow. Day 5 - Roots are starting to touch the water so I'm expecting the growth rate to pick up soon 😏 Trol master unit is set up and connected to my light at 40% and on a 18/6 lighting schedule. She was widely hidden from me behind the neighboring plant and I was surprised when I put the microscope to her and saw that it was ready after a mere 6 weeks of flower. I took a small middle flower to double check and all sides were cloudy with Amber trichomes. I’d really like to try this strain again and complete the tent with it. Because of its great density and trichomes she’ll be a great one to try out in the press. The rotate and text type box are still NOT working on iOS.

Oops! Well, the two days in the 80s and nights in the 70s sent my girls into high desert flower! That and two out of season rain days and BOOM! We are now a flower farm! To be honest, I wasn’t sure at first- then, yesterday morning, three bees bee lined and flew to each of the bud sites. My hand wringing (was it or wasn’t it flowers?) was answered - by Mother Nature herself without muss or fuss. No more salad! Flowers! Also, a shock to no one, I bought a ruler yesterday, and while I listed my plants as 29 inches, I sadly have no idea what 12 inches really is. They are about 18 after supercropping. Needless to say other measurements were, sadly reconsidered…. 7/31 transferred banana mango to a 30 Gallon pot 💪

*If anyone read through my GDP diary, this is going to be mostly the same stuff. So, sad day friends. I got spider mites and had to throw all my plants out. This is what I think happened: About 2-3 weeks ago I noticed some freckling on the lower leaves. I looked at it and thought it might be a cal/mag issue so I added cal/mag that week and went about my business. I saw it about a week later and it wasn't getting any better so I added more cal/mag. This continued for about 2-3 weeks until I finally took off a leaf and examined it under my microscope. I saw little bugs crawling everywhere and my stomach just dropped. My fiance did some quick research while I was panic ripping leaves off (see pictures) and she correctly diagnosed it as spider mites. I debated with myself and my close friend and ultimately I decided to throw all the plants in my tent away. I know that there are a lot of people who will say that there are things I could have done to make it to harvest but what it came down to is the people I take care of and personal pride. I consider myself a caregiver and I give away product for free that I am not going to use to my family and close friends. I thought to myself "Would you smoke this?" and when my answer was "ehhh, I don't know", I thought about how it would feel giving it away and immediately made the decision to destroy them. I take an immense amount of pride in my product and this hobby and if I am not going to stand behind it I would rather just start over. I grow from my heart (shout out to the Grow From Your Heart Podcast!) to help people and make sure my family is not getting unsafe product from sketchy people. To spray pesticides in flower that may hurt people and have little bug carcasses in there just goes against that in every way and is just wrong in my opinion if you are giving it away to others. If you are the only one smoking it then it is one thing to take that risk but not with your patients. I want my medicine to help people, not create or exacerbate health issues. It is also important to note that the mites had moved from my flower tent into my veg space and took over my auto berry as well. Damn things are crafty and fast. So that is why I made the decision to destroy them all after 3+ months of res changes, pruning, and manifolding on a slow vegging strain. Feel free to chime in with your opinion but I do not regret my decision. I threw out my new clones, mother plant, and auto berry I had on my veg side as well. Shout out to all the other growers out there that do the right thing by their patients. Caregivers > Cash croppers. For anyone curious, I removed everything from my tent and scrubbed it all with a 20% bleach/water solution. All equipment has been wiped down and stored in the garage away from any organic materials. I will give them until tomorrow (2 days) to air out and dry and then I will wipe it down again with bleach and wait another 2 days. Hopefully that will make sure everything is dead and will not come back next grow. That next grow should start in about a week. It sucks but sometimes it happens and you gotta be ready for it. Lesson learned. Never bring outdoor plants into your indoor garden even if it is after just a day or two. A bunch of people on here and Reddit warned me and I did not listen. Now I have learned the hard way and it feels like when your parents "told you so" haha. Thanks to everyone who stopped by along the way. Stay tuned for a new grow coming soon. Dejo un histórico del tiempo que han sufrido las Auto desde el dia que pasaron a exterior. Un tiempo generalmente nublado y bastantes dias de lluvia. Es lo que tiene el exterior, se depende muchísimo del tiempo y esta vez ha salido así. Otro año será diferente y saldrá mejor o peor. De la jack tube que sacar parte del apical que se vió afectada por la botritis por lo que la altura seria áproximada.

In Tamara her 13 week I prepare her for the Harvest in the next week. Only water no nutrients and lower light. Her night is 2 hours longer. And she … she start with purple her flowers… what a present. I hope the Trichome Check next week will Call Harvest 😉

We’re deep into Week 8, and Blue Banana Cream is stacking up beautifully. Trichomes are looking frosty, covering the buds in a thick, sticky layer—definitely a strain that’s going to shine post-cure. The aroma has intensified compared to earlier weeks, now pushing out a stronger creamy, fruity scent with a slight gas undertone. Every time I open the tent, it hits harder. The buds are swelling up nicely, transitioning from airy to more mid-compact density. Pistils are still mostly white, meaning it’s got a bit more time before it fully ripens. One thing I’ve noticed—the branches are starting to lean from the weight, so some light support might be needed to prevent them from bending too much in the final stretch. I’m keeping temps at 18-20°C and humidity around 55-60% to ensure a proper finish. With harvest around the corner, it’s just about watching those trichomes shift from clear to cloudy/amber and letting this one reach its peak.
