Día 28 de cultivo y día de trasplante a maceta de tela de 7l. He preparado un sustrato muy ligero a base de turbas, bocashi de pasto, tierra negra reutilizada y humus de lombriz con mucha perlita, vermiculita y zeolita, también arena de rio para mejorar el drenaje y finalmente 12g de arcilla caolín e Illita para mejorar el intercambio catiónico. Con respecto a los minerales en este cultivo los voy a añadir paulatinamente como aporte en superficie, los Microorganismos se encargarán de disolverlos y de esta manera añadiré el mineral según la etapa de cultivo. La plántula ha llegado con un buen cepellón de raíces, antes del trasplante he añadido auxinas en polvo en superficie, después he regado profusamente con agua de lluvia, miel y Microorganismos De Montaña Activados MMA, de esta manera con el sustrato húmedo el cepellón sale sin desmoronarse, además, la humedad pasará al sustrato circundante al cepellón por capilaridad, finalmente he regado por los bordes de la maceta con 500ml de solución. Como la plántula llegó con un tallo bastante alto, he enterrado parte de él, y para estimular el crecimiento de raíces adventicias he humedecido el tallo y espolvoreado mis auxinas caseras de frijol negro. A partir de ahora esperaré al menos 2 semanas para pasar la planta a floración, tengo curiosidad por ver la evolución de esta semilla polizón que encontré junto a otras tres en los cogollos de mi anterior cosecha. 4/6/2024 - Vegetation Week 8 Day 1- Last week in VEG, They are all looking amazing and no worry about stretch when I flip Next Saturday they are indica and I have more than 50% of distance from the top of the plant to the lights with a little more I can raise the lights if necessary. So going to really just enjoy this last week of VEG, and get my Cloning equipment ready. I will be taking 2 cuts for each this is also a PHENO hunt for HWG and he not only has the prize for the winner but he also has an additional bounty on a cut of the winner. I did have to take some from around the edges to keep them from touching. 4/7/2024 - Vegetation Week 8 Day 2- Didn't do anything today but watch them grow.. They will be getting a really good flip trim and clean up for clone material on Friday/ Saturday. 4/8/2024 - Vegetation Week 8 Day 3- Couldn't even get a picture of the #1 at first too much Foliage throughout.. So I had to clean that up and make sure they all still have some separation before flip. 4/9/2024 - Vegetation Week 8 Day 4- Huston we almost had an issue.. I looked at my Res and she was in desperate need of 10 gallons to get her through until next water change on Saturday. So I added 10 gallons and the Nutes. The interesting things is even though this is an Indica Strain, I might have to super crop just to keep them off the lights. I gave all three a Cloning/Flower cleaning.. all three got cleaned up top Inside and bottom, I took 2 cuts of each to see which one come out on top then I will kill off the other cuts once I have a winner in flower. I clean up this thoroughly before I flip because it reduces the work load on the next major clean up I do on Week 4 of Flower.and they are so much taller that it is going to be a pain in the ass to maintain canopy space for #3, we will see how it goes and adjust as necessary..

4/1/2023 Week 7- Day 1 of Veg (Day 59 overall) Water Change Day!!! Water was really low it was just above the hump in the Res cutting it close to not having enough water in the system to keep it going. They drank a lot making it close going the full 14 days. I am still going with the previous grows and adding 36 Gallons but even looking at the root I think the SILICA is working and the roots are further along at this point than in previous grows. This next two weeks will watch how much they drink and how low my Res starts getting, and will make a decision on changing the water weekly from here on out or still keep on the plan of every other week until Week 4 of Flower. I took so much off yesterday I figure it was a good day to let them rest. 4/6/2023 Week 7- Day 6 of Veg (Day 64 overall) I needed to Defoliate some and I topped a little. The plants might force me to flip them soon. Next Wed is the 10 week mark half way through the 20 weeks. The net is Bingo... Which means that If/when the plants hit the net I will have to flip them. The Net is set to the max height that I can let them get based on the Breeders Stretch report 75%. 4/7/2023 Week 7- Day 7 of Veg (Day 65 overall) #3 is 22 inches Tall, #2 is 19 Inches Tall. Net is set at 24 inches. Net is also set as my Bingo point, if they hit the net then I have to flip no matter what to account for the Breeders recommended 75% Stretch allowance. I think I am going to have to flip right at the 10 week mark of the Competition which is Wed 12 Apr. I topped a little, I de-foliated a lot to start getting it ready for the anticipated Flip.

I caught up on some reading and decided to defoliate before chasing the second half of this flower. I'm pretty confident that after being in the Nature's Living Soil for a few weeks that she is strong enough to handle the defoliation, but hell, whadda I know?? 9.19 - The DumpsterQueen didn't even flinch at the defoliation. week 5 of flower and she has started to show some frosty, frosty, diameter of buds is growing nicely. under canopy seems to be developing nicely as well. Light is penetrating into the lower canopy thanks to the intensity and far red capabilities of this awesome light from Meijiu.

OMG THE CRYSTALS! Wow first time using any carbohydrates on hydro. I even went with a low dose of 5ml per gal to top it off! The buds grew funky shaped not sure why. But they are really filling in now! And the smell is amazing. Prob 5x stronger then the monther plant that finished flowering in soil not hydro. 12/13/24 chopped and hung. 12/16/24 trimmed but still hanging room is 69°F and 62% humidity shes very hashy while trimming. sticky and oily like fresh hash. very minimal trimming. thick spongey buds with dark greens and fiery red hairs the tips of sugar leaves are a dark purple, if i wouldve let her go another couple of weeks she wouldve gotten suuuper dark.

Thursday, July16th. Solocup Challenge 2020. @Silky_smooth asked me to Participate. and well why not Iam always open to new Challenges, And I think It will be challengeing. Never grown in a Solocup Before So Iwas thinking a While wich Strains i should take, And i decided to take good growers and resiliant ones. I´ve chosen 3 Strains , 1 Photoperiod and 2 Automatics "Rock Machine" from Doctor´s Choice I started like always in soaking the Seed I took a Bavarian Beerjug called " a hoibe Maß" , its a 0.5l Jug I am thinking about tthe Drainage Material i should take Claypebbles? Claygranules? Mesh? Perlite=? So Pls tell me what you prefer,,,, thy Friday Seed went under a wet Kitchensponge Saturday Seed cracked, Sunday Seeds were Planted. I took Claypebbles and let them soak and wash them a little then into the Jug and some additional Perlite Filled uo with my Soilmix and " Living Organics" Some drips of water.... done Friday# I forgot to update The seedling shows up... but still in the shell

WEEK 4: SHE HAS EXPLODED THIS WEEK! Heavy LST with some light defoliation done throughout the week. I read some comments about it stinking up your grow room, it is NOT the case for me. I would definitely recommend it, my Pineapple seems to love it. She has sprouted a ton of new shoots this week which have been LST'd to create an even flat canopy (see pics). Through LST and defoliation, my goal is to create 7 or 8 large colas around the perimeter and a bunch of smaller ones in the center (see pics). Using garden ties i bend the main stem down to almost 90 degrees, exposing the lower bud sites to the light. As new bud sites grow, they also get tied down and some light defoliation is done, only removing what blocks the lower bud sites from the light. This means the leaves that face towards the center get clipped, everything else not blocking a bud site stays. She ALWAYS responded positively to the LST and defoliation. Never slowed her down (see time lapse above).

Day 70-77 (Day 71) Not exactly sure why but node spacing on bbb 6&7 is super tight still. Their stems are also harder and less bendy, almost like they’re root bound. Bbb #5 in my veg tent is looking bizarre and I’m at a loss for what to do. I’ve been looking up and asking around about the leaf crinkle and no one seems to know what’s wrong. Trashing a pheno of this would hurt. It could be a keeper too as I don’t think the problem is genetic. It’s definitely root bound but that doesn’t cause contorted new growth like that. I’ve concluded that it’s my dense soil coupled with root bound issues, overwatering and high RH. (Day 72) Later tonight I’m going to give bbb 5 a bath tub flush until it’s reading 200ppms, drain it well and then transplant into a 3g pot with lightly amended soil. I’m also going to give it a light defoliation. I don’t mind stressing the shit out of this plant right now because I won’t be flipping for another week at least. With the small container it will run out of amended nutes mid flower so I will hit it with a few synthetic feedings around then to test out the smokabilty and taste compared to organic nutrients. I might as well give the rest a good defoliation on the rest of the plants too. I will try to get most of what is under the trellis. (Day 73) I definitely defoliated #7 waaay too much. Since it’s tucked away in the corner and a really bushy plant I can’t train it as well as the others. I cut most of the sucker branches and the majority of the lower fans. This should prevent the need to defoliate at all until week 3 of flower. (Day 74) I’ve been reading that higher temperatures with a high RH can affect growth big time. It could be what’s causing all the crinkling and twisting. And now that the plants are in very late veg they could probably benefit from a lower RH. When I was running my temps around 74-78F and 70% RH I was in the perfect range. Now that I’m around 82-86F with the same 70% RH that could be what’s causing it. Hotter air holds more moisture than cooler air and proper vpd at 84F is around 75-80%. I’m going to turn up the speed on my carbon filter and set my controller to 75%. If I don’t see a difference or it gets worse I will drop to 65 and go from there. (Day 76) I finally got the lights raised up another 4 inches or so. It’s not much but it should help reduce the intensity and stretch the nodes more. I’m starting to think the super tight node spacing and droopy/contorted growth has more to do with something I’ve been reading about called ‘soil compaction’. Apparently farmers often deal with compacted soil in fields from running tractors over it all day. When I potted the plants I gave them a good little jiggle to compact the soil down further so I could fit a bit more in the container. I think this could be the culprit as they don’t seem to be drying out evenly. Even the plants in my other room are not drying out like they should and it’s probably from compacting too. With the addition of rock dust and dry amendments the soil can become sandy/clay like and retain a lot more moisture. Wish I would have added a few more liters of perlite and packed the soil a bit looser. Either way I need to get this problem sorted ASAP before I get root rot. Earlier in the season when I overwatered, I stuck a fish tank air pump into the soil and it aerated the soil enough to prevent overwatering. The only reason I discontinued it is because it didn’t have much effect in the 1.7g pots. I just ordered a 36w 6 way fish tank pump that is way more powerful. It was 50 bucks and I’m willing to take a gamble on it. It seems to be my only option at the moment because I can’t just repot. Worst case scenario I can use it for brewing compost teas if it doesn’t work. I’m not sure how well this will work in a giant fabric pot but it’s worth a shot. I’ve heard of people supplementing additional air into raised garden beds with great results. I’m picking off some of the new auxiliary branches to try and widen the node spacing. Growth is definitely slow and stunted but no signs of deficiencies. I just thought of another theory on the node spacing... and the more I think about it, the more I think it’s the mystery problem. I’ve been foliar spraying with 1-1-1 VeloKelp at pretty high concentrations 2-3 times per week. I have heard in passing that kelp and seaweed can somehow reduce stretch. A quick google search reveals that Ascophyllum Nodosum Seaweed and other marine algae extracts contain large amounts of hormones and auxins that reduce plant height and stretch. *facepalm* Guess I’ll stop that for the rest of the cycle. As far as I know there is nothing I can really do but wait for the plant to use up all those excess hormones and nutes. The recent 0-0-15 seaweed extract and 1-0-3 kelp meal I bought is derived from the same kind as the velokelp. I guess I won’t use it again until week 3 or 4 in flower. Tight nodes are very useful in flower but aren’t desirable at all in when trying to scrog in veg. Especially when they’re like a half inch apart. It slows the shit out of a grow. Vietnamese and biker gangs in my area used to grow SOG style and use a synthetic PGR hormone (meant for bonsai trees) called ‘paclobutrazol’ that would make the weed rock hard dense so they wouldn’t have to pay people as much to trim it. I’ve heard that in recent years they have made the switch to using kelp extracts because paclo is getting harder find and is not meant for food crops let alone smokeable crops. I’m ashamed of it but I have smoked pounds of PGR weed long before I knew what a PGR was. 🤷‍♂️ (Day 77) One more theory. Ever since raising up the plants up onto that shelf the root zone is probably significantly warmer and the bottom of the pot (where most of the roots are) drys out way quicker. It’s possible that the warmer root zone could not be holding dissolved oxygen at the proper rate resulting in that over/underwatered look. Or it could be that I’m not watering enough at once to reach the bottom of the pot where the roots are and it’s indeed under watered. I’m going to water in a gallon when I get my new air pump and see if that makes any positive change. If I see the new air pump making a difference, I will flip on the 21st of April. If I don’t see a difference, I will carefully untangle the plants from the scrog net and remove the shelf. That extra foot should make a massive difference with ppfd and will cool down the roots significantly too. I’m thinking about grabbing a simple soil/compost thermometer to check the temp of the medium. Better safe than sorry. Rough week. Hopefully everything get smoothed out in the next little while before I flip.
