Week 8 Pure water feeding

1 - 03/27 - Starting up week #2. New light is installed, will be monitoring the set up now since the new light is 800w. Tent temperature peaked yesterday at 85. Added a big fan in the tent and an additional fan for circulation outside of the tent as well. Going to need my air scrubber sooner than later to help keep my temps in check. Likely need a cool mist humidifier as well now. Woohoo. At least they are all still standing! 2 - 03/27 - The new LED at 800 watts is far too much. The tent was heating up uncontrollably past 86, so I decided to take it back and grab the single 400 for the time being. That way at a later date I can upgrade to a secondary 400 and still pull equal wattage. Also added a 6in inline fan to help keep the tent cooler. Sitting around 76 -80 now so I'm pretty happy with it. The 400 run quite a bit cooler than the 800 does. The 800 brought my tent up another 10 degrees whereas the 400 unit sits my tent up at 3 degrees. All in all, feeling good about the swap and new lights. Time will tell if I need anything additional come first week of flower 03 - 03/31 - Almost nearing the end of week 2. The girls are doing amazing. Candy Cane is finally catching up and everybody is filling out now. Super cool to see what a week does! 🌱 Each of the ladies received some very light LST last night. Light pull on the leaves downwards to pull the top open and create some more developmental growth. I also decided to run a really light liquid nutrient cycle. I'll post the product and details tonight. Happy growing! 🌱 - Made an executive decision mid morning and decided that 1.5/2g is not a big enough finished pot size for the EM Auto. I moved her to a 5. I was really sceptical since she's doing the best for vegetative growth out of the group but decided to embark on the risk. I consider it a move and not a transplant at this point. When I moved her, I cut the fabric pot in 6 spots down to the base. I let some of the loose dirt fall into a tray and prepared the 5g to accept the 1.5g transfer. I used a single table spoon of the gia green power bloom and coated the hole. I gently misted the outside of the remaining dirt and the EM root base and picked nearly the whole plant up with little to no disturbance whatsoever. (80% of the total potted plant and coco stayed in tact). She went in beautifully and still looks happy. I guess we'll see how much damage has been done come harvest. Fingers crossed that she didn't feel a thing. 👍🌱

I added 10mL LAB (lacto acid bacteria, diy with rice water and milk) per liter of irrigation water, twice a week. I installed a fan under the canopy to prevent mold. At the stage when the buds become denser. Its excellent flowering characteristics will make you forget the challenges of training it during the veggi phase. Hahaha, she's gonna be gorgeous when all said and done. The **before** trim pics show off how well this girl is taking in the nutrients. Huuuuuuuge fan leaves off the bat, not seeing any nutrient issues... I also think she might be part fern 😂 The **after** pics are just getting rid of the giant leaves so the new stems can start getting some love too. LST all active stems, topped the main, and defoliated this week. I may have defoliated a little too much, but the leaves are so thick they were really dampening the stems underneath. We'll see how thick she has grown next week. I hope the video comes through, it's the month 1 timelapse. I was not expecting the stem to do a complete 360 before the roots finally latched on.

Week 10/9 - 16/9

Week 9 - First Week of Flowering 🌸 The dark period has ended, and these ladies came back into the light fully energized and ready for action! This grow space is officially packed from wall to wall, with each plant competing for its share of light and showing off some of the biggest, healthiest leaves I’ve seen yet! 🌱 A few strategic plucks here and there have kept airflow smooth and light penetration balanced. Those big leaves? They’re a sign of happy, healthy growth. Large leaves help the plant capture maximum light energy, essential during this stage, especially as they start focusing on developing those flowers. When plants grow huge, vibrant leaves like these, it means they’re well-nourished and content in their environment—a true testament to the well-balanced conditions we’ve got going in the tent! Flowering Parameters 🌡️ Room Environment: • Temperature: 26.7°C • Humidity: 63.3% • CO2: 960 ppm • VPD: 1.29 kPa (prime zone for flowering health!) Lighting: • Light Intensity: 835 PPFD (ideal for boosting flower growth) • Solution: pH 5.96, TDS 460 ppm, temp 21.1°C • Medium: Moisture: 100%, TDS: 520 ppm, Temp: 21.6°C Carbon Filter Installation & Smell Management 🌬️🌱 With the transition to flower, the scent profile is already starting to kick in—crazy for the first week, right? 🌸 To keep everything fresh and under wraps, I’ve set up a carbon filter system. This air is cleaned by the filter and released into the main room, where it then passes through another filter before exiting my space. By stimulating a little extra wake-up and wind-down light, we’re mimicking the natural sunrise and sunset experience for these plants, which can help reduce flowering time. Not only does it encourage smoother transitions into day and night, but in theory, it’ll help these ladies finish a bit faster, while giving them a little nudge to build more substantial, quality flowers. 🌇 Nutrient Adjustments 🌱 Now that we’re in flower, I’ve swapped out the Start Booster for P-Boost and TopBooster to specifically support flowering needs. What's up guys! Quick update for this week. I decided to give the Gorilla Melon a nice cut to keep her height fully under control, and honestly, I'm pretty happy with her current structure. She’s shaping up beautifully. I'll see how she develops over the next two weeks and make a final decision at the end of July whether to cut her one last time or just let her ride. I'm still a bit anxious about that massive stretch coming up in August, so my main goal right now is keeping her in a compact shape that will comfortably fit inside the greenhouse. To make sure she has enough power for the road ahead, I pushed a third Biotab straight into the soil today. Those thrips are unfortunately still buzzing around the place, but the Gorilla Melon seems to be way more resilient compared to her greenhouse-mate. My Orange Sherbet Auto right next to her, which is already in late flower, is definitely having a much harder time dealing with the pests. To get ahead of the problem, I’m going to release another round of biological pest control soon. The goal is to have everything thrips-free the time the Gorilla Melon finally flips into flower (hopefully). Enjoy the peace of growing, guys! ✌️

So we are 8 weeks +1 day here now, around 8 days into flush and 6 days away from chop. I’m guna cut these at 9weeks so they will probably get another 2/3 heavy waters and then 48hours of darkness. Really starting to pack on weight now I had to support all branches as much as I could with bamboo and garden ties. I sampled a bud I took when I first started flush at around 7 weeks and it was so smooth and creamy. Real nice fruity and zesty taste to it. Smelled of fresh lemons with a hint of grapefruit. High wasn’t heavy as expected being so early but certainly felt a relaxation effect 1 hour after smoke so really excited for finished product. Just counting down the days now!!
