🌱 Week 6 Update 🌱 So I caught a little hiccup this week — turns out my timer was off by 2️⃣ hours! 😅 I’ve adjusted it back to the proper 18/6 light schedule 🌞🌚 so we’re back on track. 🌱 8×8 Adventure – Chem Brûlée (Plant A) | Week 4 Building Strength Before the Fireworks Begin Welcome back to another chapter of my 8×8 Adventure, a project where twelve unique cultivars are sharing the exact same environment while every phenotype is documented individually throughout its entire life cycle. Growing every plant under identical conditions allows each genetic to tell its own story, revealing the subtle differences in growth habits, structure, vigor, and personality that make phenotype hunting such an exciting experience. This week we’re shining the spotlight on Chem Brûlée – Plant A, a lady that has quietly been building an impressive foundation while showing signs that she’s ready to become one of the standout plants in the room. Every update she becomes a little bigger, a little stronger… and a little more interesting. ⸻ 🌿 Life Inside the 8×8 Jungle The environment continues to provide ideal conditions for healthy development across the entire garden. This week the room has been running at approximately: • 🌡️ Temperature: 33.3°C • 💧 Relative Humidity: 63% • ⚡ Nutrient Solution EC: 1.36 mS/cm • pH: 6.12 • 💦 Reservoir Temperature: 25.7°C Despite the warmer temperatures, vigorous airflow keeps fresh air moving throughout the canopy while maintaining healthy transpiration. Every cultivar continues receiving exactly the same care, making the differences between genetics even more fascinating to observe. ⸻ 💧 Feeding Program Chem Brûlée continues receiving the same balanced feeding schedule as the rest of the garden. Nutrition this week: • Plagron Terra Grow • Plagron Power Roots • Plagron Pure Zym • Plagron Vita Race (foliar application) The response has been excellent. Healthy color, sturdy stems, and vigorous new growth suggest she’s making great use of everything available to her. ⸻ 🌱 Growth & Development This lady has really started to find her rhythm. Over the past week she has put on noticeable vertical growth while maintaining a beautifully symmetrical structure. Every new node appears clean, evenly spaced, and packed with healthy growth. One characteristic immediately catches my attention… Those fan leaves. They’re becoming absolutely enormous. Each new set seems broader than the last, creating an impressive solar panel capable of capturing every bit of available light. The leaf color remains beautifully uniform, with rich green tones extending from the oldest foliage right into the newest growth. Structurally she’s also beginning to separate herself from some of the other cultivars in the room. Where others are stretching aggressively or branching heavily, Chem Brûlée seems determined to build a thick, balanced framework first. She feels composed. Confident. Like she’s quietly preparing for something special later in flower. Although she’s beginning to show increasing activity around the upper nodes, I’m still considering her firmly in vegetative growth as she continues investing her energy into building size and strength. ⸻ ✂️ Training & Canopy Management This week has been all about allowing the plant to develop naturally while making only small adjustments where necessary. A little leaf tucking has helped expose developing side branches, allowing more light to penetrate deeper into the canopy without removing valuable foliage. At this stage those massive fan leaves are working in her favor, fueling rapid growth while protecting the young shoots beneath. Sometimes the best training is simply knowing when to leave a healthy plant alone. Right now she’s rewarding that patience. ⸻ 🚀 Looking Ahead I’m genuinely excited to see where this phenotype decides to go. Every week she’s revealing a little more character, and it’s becoming increasingly clear that she won’t simply blend into the rest of the room. With her broad leaves, strong central stem, and balanced branching, I wouldn’t be surprised if she develops into one of the dominant plants inside the tent once flowering is fully underway. For now, the plan remains simple: Continue providing a stable environment. Allow her natural vigor to lead the way. Keep encouraging healthy structure without rushing her development. Sometimes the strongest performers are the ones that spend a little more time building the foundation. ⸻ 💚 Final Thoughts One of the greatest joys of this project is watching every cultivar write its own story. Chem Brûlée isn’t trying to imitate anyone else in the room. She’s growing at her own pace, building her own architecture, and showing characteristics that already make her stand apart from the crowd. Those beautiful oversized fan leaves… The vigorous vertical growth… The healthy, vibrant canopy… Everything points toward a plant with enormous potential. I’m incredibly curious to see how this unique phenotype expresses herself once flowering begins. Day 49 This smaller plant is at day 49 and has clearly been topped earlier in its growth cycle. The topping has encouraged a bushier structure, with multiple main branches now developing evenly. Instead of a single dominant top, the plant is pushing out symmetrical side shoots, creating a wider canopy and setting the stage for multiple bud sites. The new growth is lighter green, showing healthy development, while the older fan leaves are darker and strong. The plant looks compact and well-structured, with tight internodes and balanced growth. The topping has slowed vertical stretch compared to an untopped plant, but the overall result is a sturdier, more manageable shape. There are no clear signs of stress or deficiency — leaves are healthy, edges are smooth, and the color is consistent. The canopy is lower and denser than the bigger plants, but that’s expected after topping. With some time, the side branches will continue to catch up, forming a nice even top layer. This plant is on track for a strong transition into flowering, with the topping already setting it up for a more even distribution of colas and better light penetration.

Another great week of growth, I've noticed she has pretty much stopped growing any larger fan leaves so I havent needed to defoliate. The smell in the space is strong now and she is producing lovely sweet buds that are dense and sticky. Reduced her nute intake and have introduced DRAGON FORCE.

5/27 curious to see where this week ends up at 5/29 the one plant indoors is packing on weight. The one I put outside to finish (possibly stupid) seems to be maturing faster but bulking slower. She's seemed healthy this whole time. Not even a burnt leaf tip 5/31 attempting to take pictures in different lighting to get a better idea for yall viewers

This week went better than last week, as I didn't break anything. She is growing pretty slow, but she seems to be pretty healthy. I am still going to veg her for probly about 2 more weeks, until I feel like she is cutting the distance to the lights about in half. She is extremely short right now, only about 9 inches tall, but I am hoping she will start growing a little faster now that I am done pinching and topping and twisting her. I started making some tinctures this week that I plan to infuse some sugar with, my buddy gave me a container of some and it was absolutely wonderful in my coffee, so I will post some pics and let you know how it turns out. Start of week 4, day 22. Flowers are producing very fast and thick. Slightly ahead of the last grow. And I have definitely got the excessive growth under control so far 🤞.

The flowering on this lady has been very fast, she is giving off a nice orange 🍊 aroma. I have had to move her position in the tent to allow her to grow to her fullness. The weather has been really good this month and we have just had a few days that have been above 29 degrees Fahrenheit which has been welcomed at this stage.

Everything is filling up the canopy nicely so I flipped to flower (10/19/18) so they don’t get to out of control during the first couple weeks as they like to stretch. Will be doing a slight Lollipopping in the next day or 2 and will have to add a second layer of trellis either this week or next.

I really enjoy growing these plants. They change every day. The 2 bigger onee start to have purple all over the leafs. The tallest is craaaaazy frosty. When I open the growbox there comes a smell like a punch in my face. They smell very strong and they smell amazing. 3 different phenos, 3 different smells and structures. It is like growing 3 different strains but all 3 of them seem to be special. I hope the grow finishes as well as it went till today.🙏🌴🍪 🌴🍪🌲🍊⛽️🔥

Banana Guava – Week 7 (Fast Buds Outdoor 2026) Another solid week of good weather. Banana Guava is soaking up maximum sunlight and getting regular feeding. This one has shot up mainly in height again and is now around 60 cm tall. She is looking strong with good foliage and continues to show impressive vertical growth. Definitely one of the taller girls.

Started the week at 725 ppm which was stronger than I meant to. Remixed on day 38 to 650 ppm. I've been adding the ph up incorrectly. Noticed some calmag deficiency in the last day or two so I'll be upping the calmag to 15 ml. She seems to be doing well. I'm losing the battle against the smell. My whole house smells like dank.she drinks 1 gallon every 24 hours I only add ph'd water between feeds. I cant believe she grew 7 inches this week!

Wow well we’re do I start. Absolute dream to grow Smelt strong of citrus and oranges , was amazing to smell , After just 5 days of drying and 1 week of curing the result was imense. Absolute knockout weed with an orange taste and a smooth on the throat. One of the best I’ve taste. Highly recommend

Officially two weeks since I planted the seed. These things have really grown since the flush and nutrients. Will be flushing and fresh water and nutes on Tuesdays. I will also add daily progress pics and updates. 7/1 (Day 14) - Everything is continuing to go pretty well. I feel pretty good and dialed in on my temps, humidity, and VPD. I've just been kinda monitoring everything and its going well. They seem to be doing ok. I definitely made the mistake of planting them two low in the net pots I think. Im not sure if that is going to hurt anything or not, they seem to be doing ok though. Ill try and get some pics of the roots, I felt under one of them to see if they had roots and there was one under that that was pretty damn gnarly and long already though. Will update later with pics if i can. 7/2 (Day 15)- Continuing to see good growth I think. Things continue to run well and everything is in check and staying the same. PH went up to 6.1 and I added a very small amount of PH down and waited about an hour an now we are back at 5.8. 7/3 (Day 16)- Everything continues as normal, got the new humidifier in and hooked up and its made life much easier. Plants continue to grow and seem to be happy. Tomorrow is flush day and new nutes! Ill try and get a video or something if I can remember. 7/4 (Day 17)- Flushed and refreshed everything. Its a long process due to waiting on the RO water. Everything is looking pretty good though. Just going to continue to monitor. Temp and humidity are still 78-79ish and around 65% RH during day and around 72-73 and 58-60%RH at night. PPM after this flush is around 650ppm or EC 0.9 7/5 (Day-18)- Every seems to continue to go pretty well. Temps, humidity, ph, and ec all stable, plants continue to grow! 7/6 (Day 19)- Pretty much same as yesterday, everything is staying steady and running pretty good, they are getting big but not really growing tall, wondering if it will shoot up soon or if i messed up by planting too deep in net pots. 7/7 (Day 20)- Had an issue this morning, woke up to some leaves curling down at the ends. Checked everything, temp 79, humidity 65%, water temp 68, EC is .9 so same as when I mixed, roots look great, 1 inch gap from net pot, airstins and everything is great. Came to conclusion my light was too close. I haven’t raised it and plants have grown a few inches. I think it was too close and burning. Moved the light to about 33 inches from top of plant now. Seem to be recovering slowly. Will monitor. Any tips and recommendations always appreciated. Thanks.
