6/10/2024 the fades coming in nicely. I probably could have pushed her with nutes for a couple weeks and possibly gotten her to thicken up a bit. But she is pretty thick as is. She's going through water quick and I keep forgetting and so she's finishing a bit quicker I think. I may chop soon but this plant is probably a 90 day strain. I feel like most autos can fall into that range 6/15/24 she was cut. I will add a harvest week soon.

This pheno was certainly on roids. The strain being from an autoflower just outpaced every other plant by at least 2 weeks. It produced a whopping 8 ounces. The colors gave an alien reddish purple glow as if it were from mars. The aroma was that of blueberry cacao, a totally unique chocolatey profile.

Wow she's grown 24cm this week. I'm getting excited about her! I think she's looking to be a fab plant. Doing well in her fabric pot.

Last watered on dec 10; I eased up on the LST angle on the Larry OG. She’s looking a lot better than a couple of weeks ago. Although growth has been stunted substantially, I’ll try to nurse her back to the best of my abilities; We’ll see if the coffee grounds cause nitrogen toxicity, or if it pays off; The bud sites on the Mandarin Cookies have grown at least an 1 1/2in in the last week and seem to be doing well, There’s some very faint tip yellowing on the new growth so I think I’ll water with some plain ph’ed tap water and perhaps some molasses;

A very good start of the first week of flower, lets see how big they get.

This week I inoculated the room leaves and plants with Neoseiulus cucumeris, I have had minor thrip problems all summer, Usually I use lady bugs to combat them but none have been available this year. I inoculated the plants by shaking the bottle full of Cucumeris and bran over the leaves. I will do this a few times before pre flowers show. Cucmeris are predatory mites that eat the thrip larvae. And are supposed to work for spider mites as well. I added the scrog nets to the room and began training the plants through them. I then flipped the lights over to 12 and Initiated pre flower. All vegetative growth was very vigorous. The goal of this grow is to do a preliminary test to begin to determine if Mycelium provides any additional benefits to Cannabis when allowed to colonize in super soil before being added to bottom layer of the pot. The Process: 1) 8 weeks Prior to Germination Super Soil is mixed (see super Sub cools super soil recipe further down the page) and added to spinning two part composter, water is added and the super soil mix is allowed to break down for a week. 2) 7 weeks Prior To germination 1L of colonized mycelium is added to each side of composter. Mycelium is now allowed to colonize the super soil. 3) After 8 weeks total the Mycelium has had enough time to colonize throughout the super soil mix and is ready to be added to the bottom 1/3rd of the pots. Upper growth slowed for about a week or two and root developed, but then the top started growing, and branches started forming. Leaves started getting bigger.

Week 16: *whewww* well technically this is the first full week of Flower... I followed the directions and went to 18/6 for "Early Flower".. but in the future I will refer to this as pre-flower and will start this about a month before going into Flower... I think this helps make the flip more pronounced and will help with a more consistent flower in my tent. Who knows tho? We do see pistils - so that's exciting... and tbh I was saying we vegged for too long.. but who knows, maybe we will have an extensive root system and will be able to support larger buds! Nothing is really a loss at this point, and I will say I'm even learning more about myself. I'm a thinker I like to process things, I like doing it with people.. and I don't mind making mistakes... but I rather them be calculated.. So I know what to do or not to do in the future... I'm realizing my partner is more of a tinkerer.. he always has big ideas and likes to use his energy to move toward them.... I think we complement each other because my thoughts would've led me toward stopping the growth of this project a long time ago.. but I'm happy it's still going!

This last week has been great. Buds are coming to the end maturing . Trichomes are approximately 80% - 90% milky with 10% Amber. Inside the tent the smell has increased a lot. I hope the foxtailing hasn't ruined the bag quality by much but should be potent as 👌

Whether it was slightly off VPD levels or this particular plant being more demanding, we decided to correct it by increasing the dose of RO Water Conditioner. Now, while this isn’t a direct substitute for Cal-Mag, it does contain trace amounts that can help stabilize the situation. 🔬 Understanding Cal-Mag Deficiency: Calcium and magnesium are essential secondary nutrients. Calcium strengthens cell walls, preventing issues like tip burn and weak stems, while magnesium plays a critical role in chlorophyll production, allowing plants to efficiently absorb light energy. 💡 Signs of Deficiency: • Yellowing between veins (Magnesium) • Rust spots on leaves (Calcium) • Slow growth and weak stems ⚡ How We Address It: • Slightly increasing RO Water Conditioner to see if trace minerals help • Keeping an eye on overall nutrient uptake to ensure no lockout • Monitoring VPD (Vapor Pressure Deficit) closely to optimize nutrient absorption Let’s see how she reacts next week! Branching Development – Pheno #2 Leading the Race All five phenos are thriving, but Pheno #2 is showing the most aggressive branching, pushing outward faster than her sisters. However, overall, we’re seeing very uniform growth, which speaks volumes about the stability of these genetics. 🌱 What is Branching & Why It Matters? Branching is the plant’s way of expanding its canopy, increasing surface area for photosynthesis, and maximizing potential bud sites. Well-structured branches allow better airflow, light penetration, and more even growth—key for a successful high-yield harvest. ⚖️ Topping vs. Leaf Bending – The Training Choice Instead of topping, I’ve decided to go with leaf bending for now. This method allows for gentle manipulation of the plant’s growth without causing major stress. Once we introduce the SCROG (Screen of Green) net, this training will help maximize the canopy spread. Alright, now all the girls are in flowering stage and they are doing quite well. Would like to mention again very strong genetics of gorilla,cookies and zkittlez. Wow, they are really showing incredible growth and all the plants are healthy and even has any yellow leaves. They are very resistant to warm temperature ( 28-29 ). I started using the connoiseur bloom AB and bud candy, and planning to add some of Tarantula/Piranha/Voodo Juice on the 5-6 week and also the Bud Ignitor ( all - Advanced Nutrients). Will see how it works, maybe i will use different combo's for different flowers to analyze which nutrient is better to combine. Two of 6 Dark Devil's branches and leaves started to get covered by purple color,looking quite unusual. The Northern Lights are still a mystery for me. Different height, different growth pace, different amount of branches with buds. I don't have that kind of issues with other 4 strains, all of them ( gorilla,cookies,dark devil,zkittlez) are exactly THE SAME height, showing the same growth pace and all of them are strong and healthy. Also among 15 seeds of NL i got only 11 germinated properly :( bad statistics. Hope Gorilla and Cookies will work for.

Day 65, 14th of November 2020: She is the most calm from the Original Sensible Seeds genetics I am growing now... She did not strech that much she is more that kind of smaller indica woth those little leaves but bushy. Topping helped to reduce the strech... Nice little girl I am happy :) Pre flowers out pistils coming :) Fertilization happens every 2nd day with the ratio and mix above. I set the lamp 15 minutes shorter to switch off earlier so she receives 11:45 of darkness. I would like to imitate the nature when longer nights come with time till the 4th week (when she will receive 13 hours darkness a day 15 minutes minus 4 times = 1hour) so every week 15 min longer darkness for 4 weeks and then back to 12/12 to have bigger buds from the 4th week....

If you've followed me for a while you will know how proud I am of my first photo grow. Now this strain was gifted to me and I'm super happy with them. They've been strong, had to move them twice in 24 hours and still seemed happy. Would of really liked to keep a cut of pheno 3 as that looks a good yielder and smells lovely. I've not weighed it as its pointless wet and untrimmed. Anything over 5-6oz I'll be happy 🤷‍♂️🏼🤣 will be back to update in 10 days 🤞🏻✌️🏻
