As of day 14, the Blackberry Kush is still exhibiting it's abnormal leaf growth. I've only ever seen this on another genetically purple strain, so I am curious if there is a connection. If anyone has seen similar issues in their own plants let me know! It's growth hasn't been too bad, and I am sure it's going to continue to take off over the next week! I usually top my plants between day 14 and 21, so i am hoping it is growing vigorously enough to prevent any stunting. I haven't seen any adverse effects from temporarily switching to my plentiful dry cal-mag, so I am happy about that so far! I am still adding a similar EC worth of Cal mag (.5) so it's good to have dialed in a rough equivalent. I hope everyone is staying safe, and happy growing! 👍🌱 Day 15: the leaf growth continues to be very screwy, and even if it's at least partially a genetic issue I continue to triple check all my practices and parameters. The PH drifts up mildly in my reservoirs between cleaning/remixing of nutrients, but it is going from roughly a 5.8 up to a 6.2 (at worst) with no change in the EC/PPM. Between the lack of EC drift and lack of smell, I don't think there are any major bacterial issues. The outflow PH is also acceptable (5.8) and the outflow EC is around .2-.3 above inflow, which is also acceptable. I dug into the coco a little bit, and the medium is not oversaturated with water (it is always a bit "fluffy" with good drainage and never compacted) and the roots are white and healthy. With the healthy vigorous growth of the other Blackberry in the same conditions, it brings me back to this being at least partially a genetic issue. I looked through grow questions of other diaries for similar leaf issues, and it seemed that most were either blueberry or blackberry strains from a range of breeders. This could be purely a coincidence, but it does make me wonder. The grows with similar issues seemed to otherwise have no commonalities in how they were grown. I am going to keep trying my best with this plant regardless, so I hope it pulls through alright! Day 17: being very careful with my PH and keeping it a bit lower, to rule it out as a possible cause of the twisted leaves and less vigorous growth. I am keeping it between 5.5 and 6 for the time being to make sure there is no lock out of micro elements like boron. As per the comments, I am being more accurate be using a pH pen as opposed to drops which I may have misjudges. I topped the plant, which is definitely a risk! But I am hoping for some healthier leaves to come in, and the plant hasn't stunted so far! It has grown the number of nodes it should have for its age, it just not as filled in and lush as I would like it to be. Day 19: I have been monitoring PH especially carefully, taking a few measurements per day and keeping it between 5.6 and 5.8 (a little on the low side). The runoff is consistently under 6 as well. EC and other conditions have stayed where they should be as well. I reduced any PH drift by running the air pump for the res 24/7, instead of just for mixing and before fertigations to rule that out. But I haven't seen any overall improvements for the leaves so I am reverting back to my theory of a genetic issue with this particular plant. It's growing larger and it's stems are thickening, so I'm just going to keep it growing as well as I possibly can and see what it yields!

Very happy with the result. Very strong and high quality with great bag appeal.

Permanent marker has shown some really nice growth this week. The leaves are a nice, healthy green colour and overall. I'm very pleased with how she's getting on. Here is what I did this week. 20.8.25: I watered with 1.5ltrs of dechlorinated water PH'd to 6.0 with; 💜 2ml Trace PH: 6.0 PPM: 340 Thanks for stopping by this week and hanging out in the comments 😁💚✌️🌱🤞

If you wonder about my home made scrog net, its made from 18mm hot water pvc tube, some screws and rope 😅 Watering when needed, every other watering I used Fox Farm Big Bloom, Grow Big & Tiger Bloom.

Week 11 - Day 1 : Pinched branches from subject 1 and 2. As seen in the videos uploaded. Week 11 - Day 2 : Changed water schedule to water-water-feed, watering my plants with 4 Liters per plant every 3th day. Pinched branches recovered successfully. Hey, diese Woche ist jetzt der 2. Monat für die Großen Pflanzen und ihnen geht es gut. Hat sich nicht viel verändert außer das die Buds langsam großer werden. Sie haben schon ca. vor einer Woche mit dem strecken aufgehört. Ich geben ihnen momentan ca. 2l Wasser aller 3-4 Tage. Ich habe auch ein paar mehr Bilder gemacht zum besser betrachten 🔍. Ich denke die beiden Purple Punch werden ca. in 2-3 Wochen fertig sein aber das schaue ich mit dem Mikroskop wie die Trichome aussehen 🤔, die anderen brauchen sicherlich noch 4-6 Wochen wenn nicht sogar noch länger aber das ist kein Problem sie können sich ruhig Zeit lassen 🧑🏽‍🌾. Die 4 neuen Pflanzen 🌱 wachsen sehr gut und schnell, sind jetzt knapp 2 Wochen alt. Ihnen gebe ich nur 1l normales Wasser (pH:6,7), ich denke in ca 1-2 Wochen kann ich das erste Training beginnen. Big defoliation this week! Being my first ever grow I was a little worried but I have been reassured it is for the best so can’t wait to see how she turns out! I have also had a ph issue this week for some reason the ph levels in my reservoir kept dropping I have monitored the ph levels daily topping up the reservoir with more water to raise the ph so hopefully things settle down. This girl is looking better and better every day her stickybudz 😏 are coming along really nicely and is starting to produce more of a smell to her now can’t wait to see the final out come! 31.12.24: I have been readjusting the LST pegs and wire daily. Sometimes, twice a day! (I know, too much time on my hands)! 😆 The plants have responded fantastically! I'm so glad I gave it a go. Some plants have been a bit too tall, and I snapped Do-sì-dos P3, pulling the stem down. Audibly snapped 😬I let it be, though. It seems to have healed mostly, in only 2 days. I have increased the lighting to 70%. They're getting watered a few times a week, with 1 litre of Dechlorinated water, containing the following nutrients and additives; 1ml of Biobizz Bio-Grow, 1ml Biobizz Top Max, 1ml of Biobizz Bloom, 2ml of cal-mag, 1g of Ecothrive Biosys. The plants are responding well to this concoction, so it's all good so far. The leaves are looking greener and are getting darker. Will be monitoring to continue readjusting the LST ties. Also, to monitor the increased lighting level, to make sure they can handle that yet. 1.1.25: Happy New Year! I have continued to readjust the LST wire and plant pegs. Several times a day. Coincidence would have it, I have a 6ft tropical aquarium which was time for cleaning! I always water my Acer tree in the front yard with this water, with beautiful results 😍 👌 🍁 I decided to try it out in my indoor garden. I'll post photos of before and after to see the difference, good or bad 😅 3.1.25: Plants are doing very well, except for PPP3 I'm quite disappointed in that one, as I feel like it's wasting a space. I guess I'll have to keep it, along with the Do-sì-dos that I snapped twice, which refuses to die 😅 I started to lightly defoliate, which is difficult because I always get carried away with it. I'm going to water again with the nutrients in description of this week. 4.1.25: Unfortunately, P3 did not make it 😕 however P1 is doing well, so that's good. I had an extra space due to this and filled it with Gorilla Cookies Autoflower, check it out if you like 🙂 Continuing to defoliate and adjust the LST pegs and wire. Watered today with 1ltr of dechlorinated water PH'd to 6.0. With the following nutrients;- 2ml Biobizz Bloom, 4ml Biobizz Bio-Grow, 2ml Cal-Mag, 2ml Ecothrive Flourish, 0.2 g/ltr of Ecothrive Biosys. I've increased the Nitrogen by adding double the amount of Biobizz Bio-Grow. I'm trying to keep them growing for as long as possible!
