Day 37 - Hitting the ladies with a little LST. My cloner project took a bit of a backseat to life, so I'm a little late in the game to top these babies.... So I decided I'm going to do something I have never done before.... Let these plants grow naturally. Yeah, you read that right, I've never let a plant just grow out without some sort of fun training technique. Even my very first grow was riddled with aggressive plant shaping. This time will be different! This time I will be just doing some very basic LST to open up their branches to more light. I went in and stripped some of the inner growth sites that would have produced nothing but popcorn buds being so hidden from light. I then created anchor points around the grow bags by pushing toothpicks through the holes in the mesh. I like this because it gives me the ability to easily move around anchor points by simply sliding out the toothpicks and moving them where I please. I got the idea from seeing someone else use pushpins once, but I didn't have any on hand. And so, the toothpick hypothesis was born, and so far its working very well! Both ladies look much happier now that they're getting more light to their branches. The leaves on these Blazin' Skywalker plants are just so effing fat that they've been doing a solid job at blocking light to the branches. I tried doing some leaf tucking early on, but the branches just weren't quite long enough for me to properly tuck the leaves behind them and would constantly come un-tucked. Las vacaciones complican tealizar el seguimiento de manera prolija, pero ahí seguimos. Aclaro nuevamente que 2 de las plantas (fancy) estan en periodo 12/12 hace 15 días. El resto está esperando que baje un poco la temperatura para transplantar a exterior y comenzar floración.

My Purple Kush plant is still the smallest in the tent, but hopefully it'll produce some good buds by the end. It's been a challenging week with the constant rain and ridiculously high humidity. Keeping things dry indoors has been a real struggle. Despite the weather, I managed to flip all my feminized photoperiod plants to flower this week. I'm hoping the switch will go smoothly, but with this humidity, it's going to be tough.

Week 7 begins for Mandarin dreams and Divine storm. These ladies are looking happy and healthy, bulking up, putting on weight and glistening with frost. So they’re still stretching, I thought they were slowing down a couple days ago, but then I walked in today and realised shit, they’re still going, must have grown another 3 inches since yesterday. They have almost filled out the whole 6x4ft space, a little space by the door and in the corners, the floor is looking well shaded which I am happy about, as that means I am not wasting too many photons. I have an maybe another 10/15cm of spare vertical capacity before I’m going to have to start some emergency super-cropping. Starting to get a little anxious I still haven’t changed out the reservoir from 16 days ago, although my top ups have been the same composition as noted above. I think I will drain her out tomorrow which has a drastically lower ratio of nitrogen. I have to say, this Botanicare range is incredibly stable and forgiving once you get past mid veg. As for the genetics, she knows how to grow without little fuss. Maybe I have been very lucky, time will tell once I finish my next grow with a different strain. The plant at the back of the room is a little squat compared to the other two but maybe she will catch up. Waffled on a bit here, thanks for stopping by, have fun all!

Day 10: The plants and the leafs grew a bit in size, they are still focusing on rooting. Added some veg nutrients today to the feeding schedule, because I saw some green spots, not to confuse with full green leafs, which is normal with new leafs and young plants or in later stage a (n)itrogen deficiency. No this indicates that they need just a little bit nutrients. Normaly this would not be the case with normal soil(it has nutrients in it for the first weeks), but again it can happen with cocos as a soil. The leafs on the pictures are like that because the lights are off + the humidifier makes the leafs wet which results in it getting heavy😝. Will update again this week, Enjoy for now 🙏

The black cherry gushers has a really amazing smell I can’t put my finger on what it is but trust me. I also like the nodal spacing just a strong pretty plant for sure.

Questa bella ragazza, ci ha lasciato letteralmente a bocca aperta. Dopo un piccolo problema durante le prime settimane di vita (foglie che presentavano punte ad artiglio verso il basso), la BISCOTTI 🍪, ha saputo riprendersi velocemente producendo dei buds gonfi e grossi! La cima principale era talmente grande che al suo interno ho trovato un pochino di principio di marciume, prontamente rimosso. Molto forte il suo odore durante l'essicazione.

This one was transplanted a couple days after the bigger ones so still small just hoping it builds its roots before pre flower. They all got moved into the 4x4 with the jimmy rigged 180w quantum board light built from ceiling tile grid. The tnb co2 is newish but I gotta get the heat up and bring in a more powerful light to take full advantage.
