🌸 Week 6 Flower – Gelonade Diaries The Gelonade girls continue their elegant dance into flower, both Pheno #1 and Pheno #2 shining in their own unique way. Their structures remain remarkably similar, tall, strong, and full of energy, while each holds onto her own personality, expressed in leaf form and flower shape. This week we noticed a few small spots on the leaves. Nothing dramatic, nothing to sound alarms about, but enough to remind us that plants, like people, sometimes whisper when they need something. It could be calcium, it could be another minor imbalance, but the key is observation. We’ll keep a close eye, watching for patterns, listening to what the girls want to tell us, and adjusting gently if needed. 🌱 Quick Recap (For Those Just Joining) From the start, this run has been about detail and care. • Germination was clean and quick, the girls leaping from seed into life. • Veg was marked by strong branching, healthy leaves, and the unforgettable funky unicorn foliage of Pheno #2. • Transplanting into super soil and fabric pots gave them the room to spread their roots and breathe. • The shift into flower was smooth, guided by careful lighting, steady feeding, and a balance of Aptus and Plagron nutrients. • Weeks 4 and 5 saw sativa-like stretch, white hairs bursting across every cola, and canopy lights filling every corner with photons. Now here we are in Week 6: the garden maturing, the flowers stacking, the personality of the genetics truly revealing itself. 💧 Feeding & Balance The recipe continues to revolve around Aptus Regulator, CalMag Boost, Top Booster, and Plagron’s Power Buds, Sugar Royal, and Green Sensation, with Aptus All-In-One Liquid helping tie the orchestra together. We’re keeping EC balanced, always mindful that the soil already provides a strong foundation. 💡 What’s Happening & What’s Next This week is all about observation. Flowers are swelling, resin begins to sparkle in early traces, and aromas start to hint at what’s to come. What to expect: denser buds, richer pistil coloration, and a canopy that will soon demand defoliation for airflow. What not to expect: miracles overnight. This is the stage of patience, where the magic brews quietly within each calyx. 💚 Closing Thought The Gelonades remind us that growth is rarely flawless. A spot on a leaf is not a failure, but a message. Perfection isn’t the goal, balance is. And balance is exactly what these girls are showing us week after week. PS: Understanding Foxtailing One of the girls, our Pheno #2, is starting to show signs of foxtailing. For those new to the term, foxtailing refers to when buds grow in elongated, irregular patterns instead of stacking neatly into the dense, conical shape we often expect. The result is a flower that looks “spiky” or “funky,” almost as though the plant is growing multiple little towers from a single cola. Why does this happen? There are two main sides to the story: • Genetic Foxtailing: Some strains naturally express this trait, especially sativa-leaning hybrids. In this case, foxtailing is simply part of the plant’s personality, often leading to extra surface area for resin glands, which can even mean more trichomes and aromas. • Environmental Foxtailing: Stress factors can also trigger it — high heat, intense light (too much PPFD), or shifts in feeding can encourage buds to keep stacking in odd ways rather than finishing their round formation. In our case, the temperatures have sometimes pushed higher than ideal, and the lights are running strong, so those factors might play a role. But genetics also carry a heavy influence, and Gelonade — being sativa-leaning, can naturally lean toward these elongated flower expressions. Is foxtailing a problem? Not at all. While it can look unusual compared to the “textbook” cola shape, it doesn’t reduce quality. In fact, it can increase flower mass and surface resin coverage, giving us more material and potentially more complex aesthetics. Some growers even treasure it as a unique expression of their plant’s individuality. So while Pheno #2 may look a little funky, we see it as a gift, more fruit, more character, more story to tell. Week went poorly. Circuit breaker kept flipping after i added additional power draws in the room. This led to poor watering technique

So.... after another week of balancing PH and food, came to conclusion that I have a Sulphur shortage. The purple lines on the stems, reddish hue on the leaves. The nutes in the bi grow and coco peat earth will have been depleted after 6 to 7 weeks so I started topdressing with crushed BAC tablets on the earth. I also made a leafspray with some epsom salt to remedy immediate sulphur depletion. Instantly the greens began returning. What a difference in just a couple of days. The big one was cloned on the 4th of april and the small about 14th of april. On 5th of may i put them their new home. 7.5 weeks and 9 weeks to be correct... With this knowledge the smaller ones could go for another week... The lushness greens are returning. The larger plant really wants to go and Im at a point now that with a couple of days Im gonna let her. The smaller ones will stretch a little too so lets hope it all fills the tent. The bigger plant is fighting for space with them so its time... Companion plants im testing: catnip, red clover, calendula. Cant wait for flowering and harvest!

The grow is going on well,doubled the bloom nuts , plants have a different but nice smell of skunk and wild berries. The tall one is growing crazy in the cell, i want to harvest first the highest one branches, to let the lowest grow round the cell for a higher yield. I had to train a lot the plant, because the autoflower was getting too tall about 120cm, so i tied it up around the cell doing scrog a like.

So far so good. Going into the final week of VEG. This week I have been busy with lollipopping the bottom some more and kept tucking multiple times a day to try to get that net to be full. I'll give it maybe 5 more days before flipping to flower. One of the plants was a bit too dark green IMO, so decided to flush out that pot to prevent EC running too high an risking nutrient burn. She seems to have been recovered from that.

First week went perfectly. Environment stable, good growth for first week. Co2 going in tomorrow and a humidifier going in as well.

So for now i am free to grow anything. No restriction at all ¡¡¡ Now i use the "" Atami Janeco Lightmix "" substrate for this plant... I hope this one are the same quality of LIGHT MIX BIOBIZZ

Some are great, and then we have the midget crew. Sour livers is going to be BIG ( not into full flower ) Auto Blues has some massive leaves ( not into full flower ) Sour Crinkle is flowering nicely 24" tall Sour Stomper looks like it has been stomped and flowering Toof Decay well its just sad. F*** im bummed ( F*** it) Santa ana winds came back so its 78° and 0% humidity. See the pre flowers in the last 2 pics. That's #8 Sour livers. She is the one to watch. She is impressive. ( don't worry she is all female ) But she must be one tough female. That all folks, thanks for coming and have a good night. Sour Stomper and Toof Decay have been trashed. Killed both they just weren't going to come around. Pollinated sour livers on 2 / 2 / 18 on week 6, the structure was way to hard to pass up. She was pollinated outside of the greenhouse. I'm sure the pollen will spread. So the male is a photo ( Cherry pie × Bubble gum ) i will put photos of the males in update.

Been working on getting rid of the purple stems. She seemed super happy today. Not a ton of noticable stretching going on with her. She looks really nice so far. I haven't noticed many pistils yet. Been about 8 days since 12/12

This strain was a pleasure to grow. No problems presented at all. She is very stress resistant and has some unique structural formations. She smells like a variety of citrus flavors when grown but after being harvested she smells exactly like an orange grove.

All Girls matured and went to drying this week. I will include an harvest report once dried.

Got them all stripped down and moved the lights closer.

This bugger neatly drank 3L of the solution I had prepared for three weeks!! there some serious growth happening. Defoliation was a good idea at this point to reduce the amount of wasted nutrients and increase the flowering priority. Had to share the last "video" to show my appreciation in learning about LST here on growdiaries, those are pepper plants.

Sexy Moma grew 2 inches this week. She is very healthy and bushy!! @STRNGseeds says she is going to be showcasing a complex flavor profile that combines sweet, fruity notes with undertones of pink and skunk. Well pink is my favorite color!! Because Sexy Moma is in the tent AND it is extremely hot outside, I have been having to turn the air conditioner on in the garage where the tent is located. #Crop King Seeds Planting 3 Seeds Using 2 Different Techniques to germinate the Seeds - The First 2 Seeds were germinated (Jul 2nd) using the water / paper towel technique * The seeds were dropped in a half glass of bottled water (It stayed afloat) and kept in a closed dark area. * After 12 Hours the 2 seeds were pushed down to reach the bottom of the glass using my finger. * After 24 hours the 2 seeds were transferred / Now using the paper towel method to complete the germination - The last seed was germinated (Jul 3) using just the paper towel method * This method took longer to break the seed surface. On Jul 6 Decided to transfer all 3 seedlings into the Aerogarden. * Seed G1 had about 5cm roots. Some flowers already sprouting * Seed G2 had about 3 cm roots. Still had seed top. * Seed G3 had only just cracked . No length

@18/06 Trying to get under control the raising EC. Tomorrow I will made the res change for the final stage. EC: 1.7 PH: 6.1 @19/06 New res: 11L with 3ml/L of Flash Clean (a.k.a. Flora Kleen) Putting the plant in the new res I saw some little bugs in the container. Hope this is not a problem. I'm going to make the flush until 7-10 days for final ripening. Tomorrow I will add to the res about 2ml/L of Ripen until the end. She seems quite close to the finish EC: 1290 PH: 6,01 @25/06 Added 2l of fresh water as PH is lowed and EC is raised. EC: 1226 PH: 5,67 @25/06 h230:00 Ready for the next week, maybe the last one ?
