Week 9 - First Week of Flowering 🌸 The dark period has ended, and these ladies came back into the light fully energized and ready for action! It’s just the first week of flower, and they’re all praying, stretching, and absolutely thriving—filling up every inch of the tent. This grow space is officially packed from wall to wall, with each plant competing for its share of light and showing off some of the biggest, healthiest leaves I’ve seen yet! 🌱 A few strategic plucks here and there have kept airflow smooth and light penetration balanced. Those big leaves? They’re a sign of happy, healthy growth. Large leaves help the plant capture maximum light energy, essential during this stage, especially as they start focusing on developing those flowers. When plants grow huge, vibrant leaves like these, it means they’re well-nourished and content in their environment—a true testament to the well-balanced conditions we’ve got going in the tent! Flowering Parameters 🌡️ Room Environment: • Temperature: 26.7°C • Humidity: 63.3% • CO2: 960 ppm • VPD: 1.29 kPa (prime zone for flowering health!) Lighting: • Light Intensity: 835 PPFD (ideal for boosting flower growth) • Solution: pH 5.96, TDS 460 ppm, temp 21.1°C • Medium: Moisture: 100%, TDS: 520 ppm, Temp: 21.6°C Carbon Filter Installation & Smell Management 🌬️🌱 With the transition to flower, the scent profile is already starting to kick in—crazy for the first week, right? 🌸 To keep everything fresh and under wraps, I’ve set up a carbon filter system. Here’s how it’s working: I’ve connected the filter to my Aerofan, which pulls air directly from the tent. This air is cleaned by the filter and released into the main room, where it then passes through another filter before exiting my space. This dual-filter setup means no scent escapes into the wild, keeping things stealthy and the grow room a peaceful, scent-contained environment. Perfect for anyone concerned about keeping their home free from that telltale aroma! 🕶️🌬️ Enhanced Lighting with Emerson Effect 🌞 This week, I’ve introduced an extra 15 minutes of red light at the beginning and end of each light cycle. Why? Well, this red boost taps into the Emerson effect, enhancing photosynthesis efficiency, especially during the flowering stage. By stimulating a little extra wake-up and wind-down light, we’re mimicking the natural sunrise and sunset experience for these plants, which can help reduce flowering time. Not only does it encourage smoother transitions into day and night, but in theory, it’ll help these ladies finish a bit faster, while giving them a little nudge to build more substantial, quality flowers. 🌇 Nutrient Adjustments 🌱 Now that we’re in flower, I’ve swapped out the Start Booster for P-Boost and TopBooster to specifically support flowering needs. Here’s why: • P-Boost brings in additional phosphorus, vital for energy transfer and cell division as the plant channels more resources into budding sites. • TopBooster supports the flowering phase by improving flower quality and density, helping to build those big, aromatic buds we’re after. 📆 Semana 4 La planta sigue ajustándose tras el exceso de EC, con el pH aún terminando de estabilizarse. La absorción es algo irregular pero en mejora, y la turgencia se mantiene correcta mientras la raíz consolida el equilibrio. La estructura permanece ordenada y las puntas principales ya muestran los primeros “erizos”, señal de que la transición floral avanza pese al reajuste del medio. El verde recupera gradualmente, con leves marcas en hojas grandes aún visibles. El estiramiento entra en su fase final y la formación empieza a tomar protagonismo. Ajustando el entorno para poder formar. Seguimos creciendo fuerte 💪!

end week 8. ------------ this week only water from all Gorillas the buds look very sticky and frosty. when I open the tent, it smells very strong. The 1 and 2 smelled pretty strong, chemically, the 3. more like citrus. I will harvest Gorilla 1 20.10. Gorilla 2 22.10 Gorilla 3 23.10 I made videos and pictures of the trichomes.

Week 14 I've harvested the Mimosa x Orange Punch auto. The OG Kush auto and Auto Night Queen will follow shortly. And look how big the buds of the Auto Night Queen have become! Definitely one of the most productive plants I've grown so far. Update: I don't have an update yet. 😄 But seriously I've now cut down the last two plants and hang them to dry. 23/03/26 -29/03/26: this will probably be the last entry for the blueberries as they're close to harvest. Cloudy trichomes with some amber, will probably give them another 2-3 days. Vanilla Créme Pie and Chicken n' Wafflez also have a couple of amber trichomes but they'll need a bit more time. My guesstimate is 7-14 days. So I guess we're nearing the end of this diary, always a happy-sad moment. You take care of them for months and then the tent is empty. I dried it in the grow tent for about a week at 57% humidity and 62f. I then hand trimmed all the buds and it ended up being just short of 4oz total. I then cured it in 3 quart sized jars. After curing the buds smelled a bit more floral and pine scented but the blueberry terps were still super strong. Me and my friends smoked through this stuff super fast, it was pretty good.

Pretty boring week its almost like the plants stall at this stage and its always super boring waiting for them to take off. Plants adjusted well to the bigger room and new lights.. umol jacked up to 800

Just removed some leaves and gave her a little bit fertilizer for bloom My first Cannabonsai, i am happy!!

Increased their food by a tad. Looked perfectly health raised to about 1900ppm. Again spider mites at it crawling up every leaf and creating a colony. I thought it was over until I sat there nearly every night finding the f*****s and rubbing the leaves with the spray. Defoliation was needed ASAP due to them stretching nicely. Started slowly from the bottom up. (repeated this process every 3-5 days.)

What a beautiful strain Orange Hill Special is, nice and bushy, great internodal spacing, sturdy and healthy. Happier and happier with how this grow is going. The less beautiful parts on top are my doing, my blind as a bat FIM destroyed half the top of the plant. More patience next time... The super soil is still performing great and I´m pushing up the dimmer to get the ladies used to more light, very carefully because leaves are folding every time. Some of you might be happy to find my European recipe/shopping list for super soil. I tried to make it with widely offered products throughout Europe. Feel free to use it and elaborate on it. If one product is not available in your country, please check the brands at the bottom, which might be available in your country, and substitute. The only thing one could add to the recipe (which I did but forgot in the shopping list) is some Epsom salt. Fed them again with my permaculture tea, all seem to flourish and smells are starting to come from the plant, with that same distinct dankiness I had in earlier grows with this tea. See the germination page and other diaries for more info on my Perma tea. Now they were big enough, some might even say too big, to start the real training. I always love to give them a little bend the week before, to get used to the idea. With some sterilized bamboo sticks I pushed the plants down to expose their sexy undersides.
