Welcome to my Fast Buds sponsored shootout and living organic soil v coco side by side. I also plan to use this grow to my full advantage regarding a few age old nagging questions about methods. I have had a keen interest in L.O.S ( supersoil) since reading a few threads a while back on how amazing and productive it can be. After too much research and procrastinating I had to give it a go. I have been a decades coco/nft grower and recently threw my hat in the rdwc ring too. I have avoided soil due to the overwatering worry ( heavy handed chimp brain !) and the best potting soil/feeds. Catching up on the advances in indoor soil gardening and organics led me too subcools supersoil recipes to name a few but being a town dweller with farms everywhere around me still drew blanks on a lot of the ingredients needed and where the hell I could even begin to get them from. Thankfully , commercial savvy has now made buying it in ready to use and with a full range of beneficial bacteria ect available in amendments from a grow shop here in the uk. ecothrive have realised the potential for us to dive into this medium with all the mixing , measuring and resourcing. I bit the bullet and £150 later I now have 4 x37Litre pots that will be used for as long as I want to feed the soil for without EVER needing nutrients again potentially. The coco has also had charge mixed in to encourage the bennies to colonize there too. I will be using the shogun nutes that I know do the business with coco to compare with for yield , growth and taste. I have 3 seeds each of 4 Fast Buds Strains to use as a control for the grow and am journaling each strain in their own diaries. This statement will be used to start each one as the information is identical at this point but following this I will do them individually. I am now starting their second week since opening the seed packets , straight into soaked and shook root riot cubes and into the heated propagator. They had all showed their heads by end of day 3 and a couple needed helmet surgery to open up without being hindered . I have has them in the prop for a few days but they needed to get settled as they were popping roots out all over the cubes. They have now been in their final pots for 2 days complete and starting their 3rd today at day 8 since planting in cubes. I am impressed with the speed and success of these girls already (12 of 13 germinated) . Well done fast buds. So here we go folks , any comments , ideas ,questions , advice are always welcome and I hope we can have some fun experimenting with defol v non defol , topping v fimming v bending and any other curiosities along the way. Fantastic classic strain that I'll be growing this again, I've grown her 2 times in the past, love to see those Heavy indica leaves, gorgeous plant, didn't really stretched too much if you compare with the rest of the plants of this season, very discreet plant to grow outdoors, heavy producer that it's great to train and make a relatively short bush full of fat colas everywhere!

8/9/25 I'm not sure if she stalled a bit or what but she seems happy but not a whole lot seems to be changing with her. Added some dr earth 394 and threw in some dying leaves because I noticed some worms hatched from when I added the home made worm castings 8/14/25 she has really started to fill out this week. Applied some cal mag in the form of uprising foundation. And will continue to add microbe charge Still tweaking the auto water set up. Trying to keep it between soaked and only partially watered. Maybe it's the drip heads.

The temperatures, humidity, and watering volume(if measured) in grow conditions are all averaged for the week. The pH is soil pH. Any watering done by me is well water which is 7.6 pH and 50° F. Any listed nutrients are ml/gallon of soil to be spread evenly on top of the soil Day 1 we had a high temperature of 80°F. The skies were partly cloudy with a healthy breeze. I water 2-2.5 gallons today. Day 2 we had a high temperature of 79 and partly cloudy skies. This cooler weather has been nice. I watered 2-3 gallons each pot once. Day 3 we had high temperature of 92°F. I watered 3-4 gallons from the hose. Day 4 we had a high temperature of 85°F. Skies were cloudy to overcast with off and on rain until noon. Then partly cloudy in the afternoon. I added 50ml of blood meal and 50ml of iron spread evenly across the tops of the pots. No watering today. Day 5 we had a high temperature of 86°F, a short rain shower, with cloudy to partly cloudy skies. Watering done today by the rain. Day 6 we had high temperature of 81°F skies were cloudy to partly cloudy. We had some intermittent heavy rain so everyone was watered by nature today. Day 7 we had high temperature of 85° F, with sunny skies. I watered 3-5 gallons each plant from the water hose. This week was a success. These girls have really added some height. I need to do more work shaping these. They began to run low on nutes. The built of phosphorus from the recycled soil is beginning to play out finally. I added 45ml coop poop and 50ml plant tone spread evenly across the top of the soil. We had our first signs of flower today. I love these fast flowers

Pulled some fan leaves , transferred to 5 litre pots ready to switch to flower. Day 42 switched to flower.

1-Starting the week strong, plant is looking good. Not sure if the buds should be bigger or not but according to the strain it’s a 70-80 days flowering time so I still have plenty of time to see those buds fattening up. 2-Added 75W full spectrum LED to increase quality of pictures. In my opinion, totally worth it. Got to see my plant from a different light was amazing. Everything is looking good and the soil is still slightly moist. Probably water tomorrow. Separated all the branches to allow more light to penetrate the middle of the plant. 3-Soil completely dry, water plant with flowering nutrients. The smell seems to be a little stronger today. 4,5,6-No major changes.

Still no sign, but it surely comes🌱 11.04.2024 Everyone doing well, just runtz doesn’t want to show up… slowly I believe it’s never coming but we will wait a few days🙏🏻 14.04.2024 Oke guys I think the runtz is dead.. im a little bit sad bc i wanted to test this strain.. but it happens🙂 Addet some new soil for the bigger 2, because the head was too heavy.. hope this doesn’t cause more problems..🙏🏻 But let’s see how the other 3 are going. I think tomorrow I start a new veggie week here. 🌱✌️

Day 49 TG1 is starting to dense up already, super even canopy and even size buds everywhere. It’s so small compared to my other plants I have it on a shoebox to get more light. TG2 is looking better now, it has healed well from my abuse last week and is producing buds everywhere, super tight spacing, I haven’t seen any more pollen sacs. Thanks for checking out my grow!

my our door girl not filling out as I thought she would I really thought I'd get bigger and healthier plant on the outside instead I got the opposite lesson learned. The mist didn't do what I thought it would so had to pollinate with a Male pink kush plant seeds forming nicely . plant still lovely I'm in love with colors.

Final days as a big storm is coming I will harvest a bit early but most of the trichomes are cloudy smells absolutely amazing.
