As week 5 came to a close and we move into week 6 of flowering, I am having really high hopes for the end result. The buds started to get some light orange hairs which is really nice and they are really starting to thicken up! Towards the end of week 5 the plants started to show early signs of burn on their leaf tips, so I started the week 6 feeding a little early. In week 6 we bring the EC down quite a bit as we get into the late stages of flower. I also recently switch to measuring with EC vs PPM for ease and accuracy. Also at the end of week 5 I did a calibration on my coco for each plant as week 6 nutrients are much lighter. Coco Calibration Method 1. Mix up nutrients. 2. Water plants as normal and measure runoff. 3. If runoff EC is not at or close to the inflow EC a. Water more and keep measuring runoff until the runoff is at or close to the inflow EC 4. Do steps 1-3 for all plants (One at a time) Tips: - I use a shop vacuum that I stick the end in the bottom of the pot saucers and leave it on while I water so it sucks the runoff as soon as it drains out the pots. Then I measure, empty and water again until I hit my targets) For this calibration, I ended up using around 6 gallons of nutrient solution. Watering technique used is to measure runoff at every watering and make sure we are staying as close as possible to the inflow EC. It does not matter how much water you need to put through the pots to get to the desired EC on runoff as that is a benefit of Coco. My main goal is to keep my runoff in check and the plants seem to do better than I have ever grown before! The smell off these ladies are amazing and strong. I don't have a carbon filter and enjoy her smells and aromas all day long as my desk is right next to my tent. There were no issues in Week 5. Plants continue to look amazing and the buds are continuing to bud up and structure very nice! I'm excited to see the end result after the ripening and flush stages. Also the colors that are soon to come! Stay tuned! ______________ We are 5 days into week 6 and the buds continue to grow fatter and fatter on a daily basis. I'm really dialing in my EC and making sure to mix it at 1.1 EC and making sure my runoff is from 1.1-1.4. I started playing with the mix as I am getting used to the grow schedule and how the base nutrients effect the EC. I have found that doing 50% of the low strength calendar hits me right at my target EC and I don't have to dilute my mixture after. The smells continue to be strong and fill my house up. The weight is starting to make the colas lean over which is nice because it's opening up the canopy to get more light in. I'm very excited to see what the buds look like in week 7 and then we are on to ripening stage, flush, and then finally harvest!!

3 week flush. Keep in mind this my first grow so I’m open to criticism. Can anyone predict the yield?

So this week I did a few upgrades in my garage. First off, I insulated the garage itself to minimize wasting energy keeping my garage warm. Secondly I put a little space heater to help keep my temps more consistent, especially when my lights go out for 8 hours it tends to drop into the mid 50’s, which personally is too low for veg for me anyway. My babies are starting to do some growing now, and with this weeks little bump up in nutrients, I think they will begin to take off. I went up with the calmag as I’m using 100% coco coir as my medium, and it really does eat up a lot of Calmag. I think my babies will get nice and green and have a nice life in my updated garage. Lemme know what y’all think, I’m happy to share and document not only successful grows, but failures also with everyone. We need to humble ourselves and learn to be better from one another everyday. Day 36 from seed touching soil. Bomb is catching up, but still smallest. Started to drink like others, just i give her a bit less. All girls started to smell strong. Development is nice, Mars TSL2000 making wonderfull job. Light is on 75% output. Watered today , 3 liters of 6.3 phed dechlorinated water went in. Thought to instal scrog, but its hard to reach anything even now, plus lifting pots becomes a problem. So will do heavy clearing next week or at the end of this one. Day 39. Girls got heavy training. Looks sad, they were ready to sleep, i did it very late in the day and watered next morning. Happy Growing !!!

Massive growth. Many new leaves sprouting out. Re-potted with Fox Farm fertilized soil instead of unfertilized soil. Fertilized water with Holy Mackerel once a week.

Well well well thanks to all of you for reading my diary and supporting that project 😎 This was the longest run I've been through for a while, but it was worth it. I was rewarded with 168g of top shelf quality buds, while she was under a 110W SMD (LM301B) board. Only 110W... I was amazed by these boards by InvisibleSunLed, and very happy of my investment. Samsung diodes are game-changers and it will get even better in a near future, what an exciting time for us modern growers! If you plan to buy some SMD boards, make sure the driver is dimmable, the light intensity can be so strong at its maximum, you could burn your plants (or your eyes). I started the board at 50% (~55W) and slowly increased the wattage as I was seeing a happy plant enjoying her indoor sun. I was also very surprised by the cheap IKEA bulbs, some ingeneers at IKEA must be growing pot, these tiny things do really work! I wouldn't try to flower anything with these, but it was perfect for the first weeks of my THC-Bomb. I made some canna-butter using the sugar leaves from the trim and some decarboxylated buds, and cooked a big cake. That s*** was strong as hell, I was unable to do anything for 24 hours 😭 If you're not used to edibles, start with small pieces rather than a big cake, I learned it the hard way 😜 I will now work on gaining knowledge about nutrient absorption in coco, improving my photo skills (must get a new camera..), and I will also look for a better way to produce timelapses. day 50. 9.04.18. shes like dang! got a little hair cut and defoliation the boys got to do their clean up which everyone loves. i cant wait to see what this plant will finish as shes stacking heavy and smells wonderful. shes gunna be super heavy and dense her under carriage structure is beautiful.

2nd ever grow and first time using Fastbuds genetics. I'm running 3x Six Shooter, 2x Pineapple Express and 1x Crystal Meth. I'll be starting diaries shortly for the other 2 strains as I'm hoping that these plants might be good enough to enter in diary of the month competition. I was supposed to be going with 3x Shooter and 3x Pinapple express but unfortunately even though I germinated 4 of each, only 50% of my seeds sprouted. I know theres only 2 six shooter in the photo but a friend of mine has one spare from a batch hes germinated so has kindly given it to me. The Crystal meth was a free gift seed so I'm running that in place of the dud pineapple seed. I've put them in a little 1x1x1 veg box that I built this weekend. Made it to fit alongside my larger tent. Plan for these girls is to veg them in the box for 3 weeks under the cheap 300w LED with plenty of co2 then move them to the bigger tent where I have 4x 315w CMH lamps. All 3 will be topped and if I have space will go under a scrog. They are actually only 4 days old since sprouting but I do all of my diaries on a Sunday as I get chilled early and have time to take photos and do weekly reports. See you guys next week!

This week I performed a fairly heavy defoliation, which opened up the canopy and encouraged strong branching throughout the plant. The response has been excellent, with vigorous new growth and a very even canopy developing across all main tops thanks to the ongoing LST. The structure looks extremely promising, and it appears this will be the final week of vegetative growth before Frostbanger transitions fully into flower next week.

Ich habe nun zu beginn der Woche 4 allen Ladys noch Form verpasst mit HST und LST. Die ganze Sache wächst sehr stabil und ich bin begeistert von der Entwicklung.

Needed to defoliate to create airflow and start shaping the ladies. Stretching out the lower colas across the base. Fimmed the ends of the longer stems to get a split going for more colas. Recharge added to feed after stripping 30%+ of the lower canopy. Will turn to flower in a week or too. Notes: slow growth due to the lower heat in the tent. Okay with that because the Lecky bills have been huge with all the price gouging going on.

Day 47, she's a little late in flowering game but that could mean good things lol idk Funny she I said ahead of all the other plants :) 1 gal is purple but so small, DONT USE ANYTHING LESS THAN A 2 gal for autos! Seriously, lol even I feel you want to experiment; use a photo not an auto lol learn from me :) (though I love my baby plants lol) Okay she isn't getting into the 3rd week soon of flowering and Shen has now turned purple haha was getting worried. But she did veg for 5 weeks, and she's wasn't topped or FIM so just took a while lol Christmas video is up and I couldn't be happier with the results; I've been dreaming of winning a contest like this forever and i finally have the chance :)

Week 2 7/26- All the girl's are doing great. I had to use some horticulture wire to prop up a couple of the girls that got a little 'top heavy'. Giving 12oz water ph'd to 6.3-6.5 as needed 2 hours after 'lights on' around each plant, and every other day in the saucers (1/4g/ea) to allow the medium to wick it up and stay moist. Temp's running 72-81deg with an average RH of 55-60%. I'd like to have the RH a bit higher but the girl's seem to be doing fine at the present. 😎Ordered another HLG 650R with the supplemental UV Bar to replace the two SunSystems 315 CMH's....should be a game changer! 💪 Also have an AC Infinity 6" exhaust system w/controller on the way to replace the Hurricane 400cfm fan I'm currently running along with another TerraBloom 6'x24" carbon filter as my current filter is losing efficiency. 7/27- Watered today ph'd to 6.4 with 2 tbsp/gallon unsulfured molasses added. I split 2 1/2g between the eight girls by pouring 12oz around each plant and then dividing the rest in their saucers to be wicked up. Temp's, RH and CO2 all on point! 7/28- Light watering today with straight non-chlorinated water ph'd to 6.5. Growth is looking great across the board. Even the late starters, Seedsman Zkittles #1 & #2, are coming along nicely! All the ladies are averaging in height between 2 1/2' - 3 1/2" and should be getting ready to explode as their root systems become more established and are able to start taking in more nutrients. Fans are running 24/7 to strengthen the stalks....they're gonna need it to support the buds these ladies will be sporting in a couple months! 7-29- Watered all through the bottom today with straight .5g non-chlorinated water ph'd to 6.3. Temp's, RH, CO2 and VPD all on point. Unhooked carbon filter from hose as it's losing efficiency restricting exhaust air flow. Girl's all growing STRONG especially the #1 Seedsman Gelato OG in Fox Farm/Nature's Living Soil mix and the FastBuds Purple Lemonade #2 also in the Fox Farms/Nature's Living Soil mix with the Seedsman Gelato OG #2 in SOHUM soil is getting close. I appears the two girl's in SOHUM soil are not quite as tall as the others but are leafing out well and are stocky with close node spacing.....hmmm? 7/30- Lift checked all the pots and gave 2 1/2g straight non-chlorinated water ph'd to 6.4 with 2 tbsp of unsulfured molasses added. I split the 2 1/2g evenly between all eight giving 20oz through the top and the remainder in the pans to be wicked up. I turned up the HLG 650R to 400w at the wall and kept the height the same. My AC Infinity Cloudline T6 exhaust and new Terrabloom 6x24" carbon filter came today, as did the UV bar from HLG for the HLG 650R that'll be here on the 3rd.....CAN'T WAIT!!! All the girl's are really doing well and starting to begin 'gettin it on'! All are healthy and running between 3-4" tall. Side note: While installing the new exhaust fan setup on of my pooches sneaked in the room and munched off a half of a shade leaf on the #1 Purple Lemonade....she's definitely got good taste!😆 In the process of installing the AC Infinity fan I relocated it and the filter to the left side of the tent and re-routed the cold air intake hoses so that both enter the tent at the bottom and are positioned at either side of the tent. I setup the AC Infinity which is a breeze, set all my high/low limits and alarms and let here run! Temperatures now are running 72-81 deg. and RH is remaining stable @ 55%, CO2@800ppm. All in all a good day!😎👍 7/31- Water looks good on all the girls. I'll just top water lightly today with straight de-chlorinated water ph'd to 6.5. The AC Infinity is really a 'game changer' as temp's are now staying in a stable range without having to adjust the settings on my Ideal Air 14k BTU AC unit...niceee! All my ladies are finishing up their second week like champs and I'm looking forward to the next few weeks as when their root systems reach the 'super-soil' they are going to hopefully have some explosive growth. I'll also be evaluating all of them in the coming week to determine candidates for topping and LST to begin. 8/1- The second HLG 650R came today! I tidied up the tent before installing the 650R: moved EXHALE CO2 bags-one on each side, vacuumed, took care of any loose hanger cords and re-positioned the three thermometers/hygrometers. I installed the second HLG 650R w/UV bar in the tent and set both lights to 400w @ the wall and have both boards centered, level and hung @ 36" from the soil. These lights are AWESOME! I checked temp's on the boards & drivers after they were running for 4 hours: 98deg on the drivers and 94deg on the board...pretty freakin sweeet! Gave the girl's a day off from water as they all looked GTG and are all getting ready to really turn on! I plan on hitting them early tomorrow morning with a good watering. Temp's-RH-VPD all on point for this week. I've been continuing to run the humidifier set @ 60% RH and I'm going so far as to ph the water going into it to see if it makes a difference as my well water runs 7.8ph @225ppm dissolved solids and I hypothesized that as the plants were absorbing the moisture from the air it might be beneficial to have that moisture at the correct ph.....we'll see I guess!

1st week 2nd day - Gelato popped through, removed water bottle. Swapped intake and exhaust fans about to get new fresh air from outside. Used diffuser to raise humidity and ice cubes to lower temp. Intake running on full, exhaust at 70%. Cookies popped through. Removed water bottle. Misted tent and lightly top watered. Intake at 70, exhaust at 50 for overnight. Diffuser to hold humidity. Day 5 - First watering - 1l ph water each. Misting tent throughout day. Day 6 - Added 180mm cyclone fan for air movement. Removed runoff. Both seedlings doing well. Slightly further development on cookies.
