Grow Diary Update: Northern Light Sisters - Week 11 The autoflower girls are hitting a spectacular stride here in week 11 as they push hard into their flowering phase. For the height check on our shorter, low-profile lady Makayla, the tape measure shows she is holding steady right around 15 and a half inches. She is focusing her energy on filling out dense side branching rather than stretching skyward. Meanwhile, our taller, Christmas tree-shaped sister Charlotte is stretching up higher, measuring right around 17.5 to 18 inches, positioned right next to her companion strawberry trap crop. The bud development across both plants is coming along beautifully. A close look at the stacking structure shows white pistils reaching out as the flowers begin to swell and pack on mass. The frosty trichome production is starting to look prominent across the sugar leaves, which is even clearer in the macro shots. Looking at the full profile of the main plant layout, you can see how neatly she sits in her fabric pot with the custom automated irrigation manifold loop keeping the organic root zone perfectly damp. The African marigolds are doing their job right at the base. The stacking on the upper half of the main cola is looking incredibly dense, showing magnificent node spacing. Finally, looking at the crown of the main bloom, the resin production is accelerating rapidly, giving the calyxes a beautiful, sticky appearance as we head deeper into peak bloom.

-5/14/23 Start of Week --Week 8/Flower 2 -5/17/23 (Day 60/Flower 11) --Observations: still getting clustered with shade leaves, Stigmas are growing in number and gaining size. --Changes: started spraying with Build-a-Bloom once a day --Comments: nutrient spray should help with pre-flower creation, still not putting nutrients in watering. still not removing anything until the end of next week, then defoliation of shade leaved will be done to open up space for all the branched to do their best. -5/20/23 (Day 63/Flower 14) --Observations: pre-flower is coming in nicely, sent is starting to change --Changes: started spraying twice a day with Build-a-Bloom, moved closer to light (26 in) --Comments: starting to get a sent but it is faint, noticed when I was manipulating for photos. The sent is like foliage and lemons, could also partially be do to the lemon basil. changed location under the light making it more in the middle and lowered the distance to the light. got some WWE action figures and what I think is a G.I. Joe action figure from a friend to use for a photo contest, also took video for this week with them. -5/20/23 End of Week

Week 3 flower. Plants look amazing and the nose 🎶! Top dressed with 1/4 cup COM FBM and 1/4 cup earthworm castings. This grow will be only living soil or organic as people dispute the definition. The FrostyBananas has strong limonene terps, which is by far my favorite. The AppleCandie smells like super sweet candy with a hint of cough medicine. So far I am very impressed this the # Elev8 Seeds!

Another week almost in end, and is going everything alright one critical and the strawberry gum are show signs of becoming ready faster then the other 2 plants let’s see during this week I pretend to flush does 2 or all the plants..

They all basically look the same at this point. Plant 4 popped a day later so it’s a little smaller. At day 12 I sprinkled some great white shark around each plant. And added just 1 tsp of green harvest bone meal.

This was a fun plant to grow. The trichome production was amazing and the last couple weeks she really packed on the weight. The trichomes changed from clear to milky to amber a lot quicker than I anticipated. However I had started my flush 2 weeks prior so everything seems to be top notch. I water cured a small amount and the high is GREAT!

This Critical Purple Kush is getting close. I think I'm even starting to see some purples and reds just starting to come in. A little nervous because she's a particularly fast finisher it looks like and Id like to not harvest this with too much amber if i can help it. I don't see any yet, and still mostly clear trichomes. But most the stigmas are turned brown. I still see new white ones growing so she's not quite done yet. MY other plants arnt too far away. logistically for me its best to get everything harvested about the same time. This one may be able to be harvested next week. My Acapulco gold turned out to be an autoflower so wouldn't be too big a deal to put it in its place after i harvest. But normally i would have a plant ready to goin its place to go into veg for another few weeks. The main bottleneck is my drying area. I don't like running the ac more than i need too and if i get overlapping drying schedules I'm spending a lot of energy on drying. plus it makes my studio rather uncomfortable to work in so. I switched the lights to turn off 30 minutes sooner at the beginning of the week to help them transition. So 11.5/12.5 schedule this week. Following week is going to be dropped another 30 minutes to 11/13. I also want to start getting the temperatures a considerable amount lower than what they have been so that I do not off-gas my terpenes and negatively affect the potency and flavor. I been battling the humidity, with the plants drinking 6-8 gallons ever 2-3 days. I'm hoping reducing the light intensity as well as the duration will get them to drink a little less, and I can keep my vdp better in check.

Winter Grow #1 Cheese Dinafem seeds Cheese 27th May 2020 Welcome back , this lovely girl (comfirmed as she is showing her preflowers) is such a bushy lady!! Ive done another series of topping to get a few more potential buds sites but once they grow thru i'll leave her alone as much as possible. Because I lost the greenhouse to another storm. (See Winter grow#2) I cannot go with my original plan to let her flower in it. And I won't be flipping the other plants I'm growing for a few weeks yet so that leaves me with a decision to make on how to proceed. One idea is to set up another small tent with a Viparspectra LED I have and flower her in one weeks time. 🌱 Passion Fruitz #5 — Week 4 | The Underdog Every grow has its own story, and this week the spotlight belongs to the only remaining Passion Fruitz in Folder #5. Originally this project started with two phenotypes, Plant A and Plant B, but sometimes nature has other plans. One seedling didn’t make it through the early stages, leaving this beautiful girl to carry the Passion Fruitz banner on her own. Instead of seeing it as a setback, I decided to embrace it. Every plant deserves its chance to tell its own story. And what a beautiful story she’s already writing. ⸻ Unlike several of her sisters, this phenotype started life at a slower pace. She received exactly the same treatment as every other plant in the room: • 12/12 from seed 🌱 • Same Future of Grow LED intensity and PPFD • Same Plagron Terra feeding schedule • Same watering routine • Same environment • Same temperature and humidity • Same love and attention Yet genetics always have the final word. Some plants explode immediately… Others spend extra time building an exceptional root system before putting all their energy into vegetative growth. Looking at her structure now, I believe she’s doing exactly that. The stem is thickening beautifully, the internodal spacing remains compact, and every new set of leaves arrives larger than the previous one. She isn’t struggling. She’s preparing. ⸻ One detail immediately caught my attention this week. Her leaves are absolutely gorgeous. Wide, symmetrical, deep green, perfectly flat and beautifully formed, giving her an incredibly healthy appearance. Every new leaf unfolds with confidence, showing excellent vigor and no signs of deficiencies or nutrient stress. Sometimes the slower plants end up becoming the strongest ones once flowering begins, and watching this phenotype develop is becoming one of the most interesting parts of the project. ⸻ 🌿 Environment The room continues running exactly as planned. • Temperature: 33°C day / 25°C night • Relative Humidity: 63% • Root Zone Temperature: 21°C • Nutrient Solution: 26°C • pH: 6.1 • EC: 1.35 mS/cm • CO₂: 639 ppm Even with the warmer summer temperatures, the environment remains remarkably stable, allowing every phenotype to express itself under identical conditions. ⸻ 💜 Feeding Schedule This week she received the Plagron Terra program: • Terra Grow — 1.8 ml/L • Power Roots — 1 ml/L • Pure Zym — 1 ml/L • Sugar Royal — 1 ml/L The feeding remains intentionally gentle, encouraging healthy root expansion before increasing nutrient demand later in the cycle. At this stage, patience is far more valuable than pushing nutrients. ⸻ 🌱 Development She currently stands around 25 cm tall. While she’s smaller than some of the other Passion Fruitz phenotypes, her architecture is exactly what I like to see. Compact. Balanced. Healthy. Every node is stacking tightly, giving the impression that once stretch begins she’ll produce a dense, manageable structure that’s perfect for indoor cultivation. Growth has noticeably accelerated over the last few days, making me think she’s beginning to settle into her rhythm. Will she remain the smallest? Maybe. Will she surprise everyone later? Very possibly. That’s one of the reasons I love growing from seed. Every phenotype writes its own story. ⸻ 💚 Final Thoughts Not every champion starts in first place. Some quietly build their foundation while everyone else steals the spotlight. This Passion Fruitz may have started slower than her sisters, but she’s showing every sign of becoming an exceptionally healthy and vigorous plant. Whether she stays compact or suddenly catches up over the coming weeks doesn’t really matter. Right now she’s exactly where she needs to be. Healthy plants don’t need to win races. Here is the update for actual week. The summer hits very hard - since almost 10 days in a row, we have 30°C outside and it was the right decision to set the day phase from 6pm to 6am. cutted down most of the fanleafes today. all trichomes turned opaque so i will start with the first "clear-water-flush" in 2 days and will flush them 4 times on any 3rd day!
