Today 7/30/19, day 57 and the start of week 9. I'm still continuing to alternate between days with my pesticide treatment (especially after finding that bug living on one of hulkberries fan leaf) and thrive alive green daily foliage spray as a prophylactic solution against any possible pests or mold going into these last few dog days of veg. I will flush them with distilled ph'd water for two days this weekend in preparation for flower. Then I'll start them on some "flower fuel" bloom booster on top of my secret for success flower recipe at 1/4 of the recommended strength. Outside of that still no adverse issue to report for the end of the 8th week. After my last trim, they both have responded very nicely, I was kind of worried about fat banana stalled growth. But one thing I noticed when I topped her at the 6th node, yes the main stem stopped growing but it developed many bud sites up and down every stem. Whereas hulkberry was topped at the 8th node, she has mainly focused on developing long stems and only 2 or 3 bud sites along her stems. Even though hulkberry in structure, is much bigger than fat banana and has a way bigger root system. Fat banana is bushier and has developed way more bud sites than hulkberry. I can't tell which strain will yield the most at this point only time will tell! Also, a big shout out to "J"@RQS, thank you for the excellent customer service. Another reason why Royal Queen Seeds is top 3 in breeding!!

Day 8: After reading about pests, I have researched companion plants so I have placed a pot of peppermint next to the plants. Marigolds will be next. Day 9: Peppermint has repelled black flies. More updates to come later this week.

DISCLAIMER START EC Value on weekly page is the actual value, my EC meter was not calibrated and gave extremely false values, that's why it went so bad, corrected it on the weekly page when I noticed it, the EC value in the comment is wrong, the rest is correct. DISCLAIMER END Plant grew a little this week, is still way to small and also full on in bloom. Drastically increased distance to the light from 30cm to almost 60cm, I always used to do that in previous grows but for some reason thought I had to do 30cm this time !? could also be a reason it didn't grew as usually. The mutation I found on leaf grew bigger. Will move the plant some when next week in to a smaller plant since it will not grow much bigger anymore. Added a new light to the tent, the Kingbrite P55 320W, when the plant is moved it will be back under the Mars Hydro SP3000. Switched to 24h light on the last day. Values are average of the day. La struttura della pianta si presenta con rami allungati tipicamente sativa, facilmente addestrabili sia con Scrog, sia con LST. Ho dovuto puntellare con aste reggi rami le infiorescenze che nelle ultime settimane piegavano i rami verso il basso. il profumo che emanano questi fiori è qualcosa di straordinario, vanno dal dolce e agrumano, mandarino limone e caramello, si intercettano note floreali di lavanda ed erbe aromatiche. Sicuramente aggiornerò il profumo e sopratutto il sapore ad asciugatura ultimata

I apologize for rough looking leaves on the plants, I've been spraying neem oil as a preventative, and to also boost immune responses I've been doing aspirin in water regime so leaves can get beaten up being scavenged for extra energy. day 64 buds are getting fatter and really moving taller. will take a while to finish no doubt.. lots of new calyx growth and pistils. i came to conclusion i was letting the plants get too dry before a top up.. trying to keep more moist. let the boost and rhizo get to work and keep the soil niiice. doubtful this notthern lights is gonna fade much.. after having cut a branch for a vase, afyer a week its still a dsrk mint green with no fade. compared to my bb which faded completly... looks super healthy if not a little too much nitrogen... not seeing too much N curl in buds which im happy about.
