The Aladdin's Skunk is a pure Skunk#1 strain originating from Sacred Seed Co in the early 1970s and later introduced to Holland by Sam the Skunkman. This strain is renowned as one of the first indoor varieties. It is known for its balanced effects, good yields, and exceptional stability, making it a favorite among breeders, contributing to strains like Jack Herer, Critical, and Super Silver Haze. This Aladdin's Skunk selection is a pure inbred line (IBL) and boasts both genetic and sexual stability. It offers uniform characteristics in smell, bud structure, and flowering time, although plant height can vary. Contrary to its name, the original Skunk#1 has a sweet, slightly fruity aroma. The Aladdin's Skunk exhibits a mix of indica and sativa traits. It has a fast flowering time, typically ready for harvest by late September. The plants stretch more than Afghanicas, with foxtail-style buds. They often develop leaves with double serrations and have a high calyx-to-leaf ratio, along with abundant trichomes, resulting in a gooey, greasy resin. This strain is easy to trim and has excellent bag appeal with glistening, sticky Skunk flowers and bright orange hairs. The flavor mirrors the aroma, delivering sweetness with fruity undertones. The effects are strong, initially euphoric and uplifting, evolving into a long-lasting, relaxing sensation. The Aladdin's Skunk, a classic from the 1970s, remains a popular choice, ideal for beginners and breeders seeking a stable strain for cultivation.

Aladdin’s Skunk, A Classic Old School Skunk The Aladdin’s Skunk comes from the original Skunk#1 strain developed by Sacred Seed Co and later Super Sativa Seed Club. Preserved by the underground community since the late 1980’s and now shared by Khalifa Genetics. Developed in the early 1970’s by Sacred Seed Co. This Skunk#1 is probably the first indoor variety of all time. Sam the Skunkman brought the Skunk#1 seeds to Holland in 1982 and soon after, the famous Super Sativa Seed Club started working with these seeds. Because of its potent well balanced effects, good yields and exceptional stability, hundreds of breeders used the Skunk#1 to make new crosses. Some of the prime examples are the Jack Herer, the Critical and the Super Silver Haze just to name a few… The Aladdin’s Skunk is a selection of Skunk#1 that has been kept pure. It is an inbred line (IBL) which shows both genetic and sexual stability. All the plants have a similar smell, bud structure and flowering time. Apart from the fact that the final height of the plants can vary, it is an incredibly uniform variety. Contrary to popular belief, the original Skunk#1 is not skunky but rather very sweet and slightly fruity. Skunk#1 was named that way only because skunky plants were very trendy in the 70’s and 80’s. What people know as the Roadkill Skunk (RKS) is not a Skunk#1 but another line. Indica And Sativa Characteristics Although the Aladdin’s Skunk flowers very quickly and produces rather dense floral clusters, it displays elegant foxtail style buds thus revealing its Sativa heritage. Likewise, the plants stretch more than most Afghanicas and the buds are quite long. However, the Aladdin’s Skunk is very fast flowering both indoors and outdoors. The plants are usually ready for harvest at the end of September. As they enter the second half of the flowering period, many specimens will grow leaves with double serrations. Growers can expect a high calyx to leaf ratio as well as a high trichome production. The resin glands are very gooey, greasy and almost feel wet. The Aladdin’s Skunk is also easy to trim and has a great bag appeal. When looking at the glistening sticky Skunk flowers with beautiful bright orange hairs, it is hard to imagine that this strain dates back to the 1970’s! This Skunk doesn’t just smell and look good but it is also very tasty. The flavor is very similar to the smell, very sweet with fruity undertones. The effect is strong and long-lasting. It is mostly euphoric and uplifting at first but quickly turns into a relaxing feeling which can linger for a couple of hours. The Aladdin’s Skunk is a pure old Skunk#1 line. It is an old school classic from the 1970’s and still trendy today! Being one of the very first indoor varieties ever, this strain has revolutionized the cannabis scene. It is both great for beginners looking for an easy plant to grow and for breeders wanting a highly stable strain to work with.
