The end of the fourth week. Only 2,5 to 3 weeks to go, since this is the FAST version of Gelato 33 by Advanced seeds. Last week temps were better, so that was a lot better to manage. The smell is a different story. We are trying to combat it as we speak with a double filter which my friend still had from a previous grow. The ladies are performing, however, because this is a monstercrop with many budsites, none of them will be very big. We anticipate a lot of cutting come harvest time. The stickieness and smell (cookies, dough, herbs, spices, gingerbread, vanilla) promise a lot to make up for that hopefully!! The middle plant that seemed to go fastest, now looks like to have the hardest time flowering. Her more advanced stage of flowering as a bigger clone, made it harder for her to return to veg, which she never really did. This seems to make her want to rush to the finish, as she is already browning the pistils. Also these buds seem more flakey, popcorny. As if the many flowers and grapelike bundled growth was too much for her. I put the light a little closer, to help her fatten up in the time she is given. I never expected the two 'runts' to outperform the mighty middle clone, but hey seem to fatten up and age much more nicely. So for now, prelimenary tip: make sure all your plants are completely revegged before flowering and consider that faster flowering species might have some ruderalis ancestry that might siderail all your lighting intentions and remains in flower what ever the growers lighting schedule. So with at least two more weeks for the two outer plants, and well see how many for the middle one, we are going to make them as comfortable as possible the final push of this flowering. Hello fellow growers, I am pleased to start this new journey with you. I am also particularly excited since I am going to grow a Mephisto Genetics strain for the very first time, the famous Double Grape. I know you shouldn't believe the hype, as Public Enemy used to say, but it's hard to ignore the dithyrambic reviews when it comes to Mephisto. I sowed the seed directly in the substrate and it was popping out 3 days later. Right now the seedling is under my Mars Hydro TS1000, brightness set at 25%, lights are 80cm away. During my last grows I set it up to the max at all stages of growth, this time I decided to proceed differently and increase gradually. Blue Cheese F1 automatic Week 8 2/23-3/1 Flower week 4 Week 8 flower week 4 The Blue Cheese gals are in full bloom, the buds are getting thicker and stacking. They are sticky and hard. Trichomes are increasing. From my phone they are a mix of clear and milky. They are 10 week strain so I and will have to get out my microscope. Since I have overfed my gals, this week I am trying to remove excess fertilizer from the planting medium by giving ph6.5 water only. Ph 6.5 Temp 65 Your likes and comments are appreciated. A couple of problems arose with my two newest grows so I thoroughly checked the compost pot and looked if the worms were okay. After harvesting the GDP, I wanted to throw out her soil. It had been used two runs and I have no place to reuse it outside. Did my best and sifted through the dirt looking for her worms. Found only six 😔. Four adults and two adolescents who were just getting their red color in. This was not a good sign. The worms were obviously not reproducing enough to keep up a colony, and that was most likely due to the soil ph. Don't have the instrument to measure it, but as my ph meter was broke the past two weeks.... 😅😅 Time to check in on the Vermicompost and see if they are still 'grinding'. ----------------------------------- April 17 Last picture I have of her soil structure. ----------------------------------- April 23 Took that thing apart!! It must have took 3 hours to sift through all the soil, rip up bark coco and what not. sift out the worms and keep them moist, but it was finished. I don't know how many worms there are but it's a good handful. About the same amount I put in there in the beginning. There were also perhaps 20 or so eggs that caught my eye. These are good signs! After the manhandled soil was put into an other pot, I drowned her with 12L of dechlorinated tapwater (thanks to Envi Chlorine Clear!!). BioDown to 6.3 ph + 0.2g/L Microbes. I don't know how many liters of water ran off, but that soil is definitely at 6.3 now... .. and the sewage pipes might be clogged 😅😇😂 Let the pot set to dry, at a tilt. Changed position every 5 minutes or so, about 2 hours long. Hopefully all the excess water is out! Introduced the Army of Wiggles to their new accommodations and said good night. There are probably still remnants of BioBizz nutrients in the soil, and I'm too lazy to flush again. Won't start her on the new microbial food until I'm sure the Living take hold of this environment. Coming from a possible 7.5 down to 6.3ph might be an adjustment. Starting week two and I hope she starts to grow more this week. hopefully the increase in water will help. week 1 i've only been giving 2-3oz a day of water today I began giving 2 cups of water.

Predators Unleashed & First Frost ❄️🕷️ This week brought a few challenges—but also some exciting signs of progress! First off: spider mites tried to crash the party, but I wasn’t having it. 😤 I’ve been manually removing them every day, and today—finally—no new sightings. On top of that, I released a fresh squad of predatory mites, who are now keeping things in balance. Nature's tiny enforcers are on the case. 🕵️‍♂️🔬 I noticed some slightly yellowing lower leaves, so I trimmed them off. It could be a touch of nitrogen deficiency, so I slightly increased the BioBizz Grow dose during this week’s feeding. I’ll keep a close eye on it over the coming days. 🌿 Otherwise, she’s looking strong, vibrant, and full of life. Beautiful structure, steady growth, and she’s just starting to shift into bloom mode. I gave her the usual round of care: 💧 Weekly care routine: 🔸 BioBizz Grow, Bloom, TopMax, CalMag & Alg-a-Mic 🔸 Compost tea (homebrewed magic, as always) 🔸 Effective Microorganisms for a living soil boost 🔸 And this morning—a full feeding session to keep things on track ✨ Exciting signs of change: The first trichomes are starting to sparkle under the sun, and when I sit next to her, there’s already a faint, sweet scent in the air. Week 7 begins for Divine storm. Both ladies are looking good and healthy, bud sites continue to bulk up and frost up. Switched out big bud coco for overdrive as we approach the end of the grow. Thanks for checking in, tune in next week! 👽🌳🔥

Week 6 Vegetation - "Sam" rate of growth started to increase near the beginning of the week. With the nodes now stretching, I've started to implement tucking of the larger fan leaves under new and smaller shoots. I find this "new growth priority" method paired with LST really maximizes and speeds up the growth in comparison to an untrained plant. Merely anecdotal though! You'll notice that in the 3rd shot, the nodes stretched out in about 2 days and just ballooned! now that's what I'm talking about! nearing the middle of the week and the rate of growth is fast enough that I can't remember to take enough pictures between the new nodes. At this point I'm tucking new leaves almost daily, making paths for the light to reach new growth tips. By the end of the week, I'll need to start tying the nodes to the side before they stretch too far up. If they stretch too far before tying them, they can be a PITA to tie down later with dense foliage and such. Tying them down before they get to this point also keeps the nutrients moving to the "new side-nodes" from these branches. Eventually these will be just as thick as the original main stalk. UPDATE: As you can see with the last photos added, the branches are almost even with the original top of the plant that was tied down. I gave them a thorough fertigation the night before, and only slight folding of the leaves so I must have choked the roots a bit, but nothing long term.
