The plant is showing signs of being completely ready and I decided to test the Myth of putting the plan 48 hours in darkness one plant I decided to chop it down right away the other one I will put it in 48 hours of darkness and I'm going to see if there is any true difference in flavour and taste or Racine since both plans are clones they should be identical in end so any true difference between them will show If there is any truth to the myth or put it down as a false. Despite being lots of mistakes along the way and suffering a lot from many different issues the plant has grown nicely in the garden and it has thrive in the Canadian environment. I will update later on when the plans are completely dry and I cut it for for the curing process and also for check out how heavy they are thank you for reading have a happy grow. After three weeks in curing process there is no true difference between both of them neither a bag of peel but unfortunately the one that I cut first retain more flavor and smell typical of the plant rather than the one that was left 48 hours in darkness the only thing I have not test is for rosin production because my machine have not arrived yet other than that the one that I not allowed any dark. Has better high better flavour and better smell than the other one this doesn’t mean that the 48 hrs. Doesn’t have any validation this only proves that in my garden I have no practical application for this technique . Thank you for reading have a happy grow

Premise was to see how "optimal" i can get my first ever Grow. After some Research i came up with the idea to build an Aeroponic System myself using Water Buckets and Venturi Injektors to provider proper aeration. Sadly Seedlings had to wait in EazyCubes cause some parts and Nutrients didnt arrive on time. System was fully operationable on Day 16. Atami Nutrients are inside the System since Day 24, Calmag has been added Day 28. Before that, some Tri-part Nutrient. Planning on switching to Plagron in the Long run, as well as adding Co2, a water chiller and a ~700W LED. Stats: - 5 30L Buckets, 4 Plants and 1 Reservoir - Recirculation happens through 90mm PVC pipes - 16000 l/h pump going through 4x 1" Venturi Injektors pulling around 700 liters of Air per hour - 1mx1mx2m Growtent - 250W The Jackson Nemesis LED Happy about any Questions and Suggestions!

Girls are trucking along without much issue. I did have a bit of PH flux due to my PH meter calibration being off but no biggie, she didn't show too much signs of stress. These girls are starting to stink which I'm happy about, hoping for a really cheesy harvest :D

3/14: Came back from a 4 day vacation to a lot of dry, wilted, dead leaves on Amnesia. Trainwreck is super starved as well. My automatic watering system didn't kick on, and the humidifier ran out of water within 24 hours, so there's that. It may be for the better though, as the PH of the nutrients had risen to 7.5. I tossed that mix, and made another 2 gallons of half strength nutes, molasses and epsom salt. I watered them both to runoff, and now I'll wait for Amnesia to prioritize which leaves she thinks are worth saving, and then I'll defoliate the dead ones. Hopefully trainwreck will just bounce back to green. She needed to be defoliated anyway, so this situation makes it easier for me to find the dead leaves. Edit: Came back to feed the last of the nutes and decided to pluck the crispy goners. I found that pulling the leaf stem downward will make the most dead leaves fall right off, allowing me to test a majority of the leaves and give Amnesia a major haircut. Luckily I left a lot of leaves from prior defoliation, as Amnesia REALLY sucked them dry. 3/15: Amnesia looks no worse for wear than last night. Trainwreck as well. Went ahead and pulled as many dead leaves off Trainwreck as I could. Some leaves were a mix of crispy brown and healthy green, which I think is pretty goofy, so I avoided taking any green fans but removed the crispy ones. The colors of the leaves around the buds are really fun to look at. 3/16: Amnesia is starting to SHED her dead leaves, allowing me to pick the leaves with almost no effort. I tested as many leaves as I could, giving another haircut. I would say this isn't a good thing, but since it's my first grow, I'm rolling with it. As long as Amnesia keeps the buds and its nearest leaves alive, it will slowly grow, albeit stunted. I'm not sure if this condition will cause it to finish sooner, but I'm going to need to watch the trichomes under a microscope every couple of days just in case she's ready for harvest. Trainwreck looks about the same as it did before. No new leaves are ready to be removed there yet. 3/19: Amnesia is still shedding leaves, but also bulking up. Trainwreck is slowly bulking up, and turning purple as well! Going to keep an eye on Amnesia's trichomes. Edit: because amnesia is yellowing so much, and because it's been 5 days, I'm going to feed both plants a quarter strength nutrient mix just in case I've been overfeeding them somehow.

increasing nutrient doses, monitoring EC and pH doesn't bear fruit, I think. Training also takes its toll and the girls flourish. We will continue to feed and observe... Second half of week brings quite intensive growth. Continue with LST, because need light penetration and some leaves out with same purpose. What does next days bring? I am exciting...

Day late on the update, pics/vids were taken on time tho just been a crazy week of harvests and trimming and keeping up with these. Reason I went with Rain Science is because they offer identical air flow for rapid growth as the radicle bags, just using a different material and a tighter knit so water doesnt flood out the sides during feeds and when you pick these up when the coco is dry, it wont fly all over the tent like with the radicles. They're the optimal bag for autoflowers especially. These 2 are doing great should get interesting in the next few weeks. I actually ran 3 of these in 1 gallon pots a few months ago and 2 atleast came out pretty good so the bus shots are from the 2nd pheno of those.

Hey everyone :) Another fabulous week in the tent from the girls, they are really developing, and still shooting up in height, who knew! Think they have actually stopped now havent seen any vertical growth in last 48 hours except for side colas, girl blue is now a staggering 44"...WTF?! We have got the hangers pulled all they way up if there is anymore growth then I will have to hook the light directly to the rail to gain a couple of inches, but I think we're safe now! The girls have loved the scrog net shooting up in all directions, the canopy is a little uneven mainly because I put the net in so late and was just intended for support now I can't bend the stems in the slightest to try and pull them down a bit. Over the last week have been defoliating quite a bit on 3 of the girls, and left the one back right untouched so have something to compare to, its really hard which method is better at this stage as the virgin girl is about a week ahead due to no stress! Mainly been defoliating as the tent so packed just to ensure air flowing around and through the plants still! As the girls have gotten so big decided to up the lighting to ensure they flower as much as possible as it would be a shame to have this much success and not enough power for the plants to fully develop, we are now running the 600w bulb on overboost at 660w. Swapped on day 38. The girls have shown a slight bit of heat stress and canoeing leaves, think the heat now under control, but I am not to worried at this stage as my main focus is producing great buds. Up to about 3L per girl per feed now and the flores strength has been dropped to 3.2ml this week. Slowly staggering the flores out now for the rest of the grow before the final flush weeks to ensure as little nutrient taste as possible. I think the light tips to the leaves is a phospherous or nitrogen deficeincy with the rate the girls are flowering, generally happy though and not to concerned. A number of the burnt spots and leaves especially on the plant back right was from earlier issues in the grow but she's not been defoliated at all so all her war wounds are on show! 01/27/25. Welcome to the start of week 4 Things are moving along well. Both the girls have done some nice growing the past few days. Have finally had a little warmer of temperatures. Still not where I’d like it, but I’ll take it. Watered yesterday, slowly, until I got a little run off. They did get food at 2.5 ml across 3 parts. I increased the calmag (1) and silica (2) as well. They have 4 nodes now and I will top them as soon as there’s 5. I was a dumb dumb and left my measuring tape inside the flower tent and lights are off so I’ll have to come back tomorrow and update that. #1 is still a very yellow/light green. She’s been that way since birth lol. She’s growing just fine and seems happy still. I’m not sure why she’s the color she is. #2 appears to be darker green as usual. She’s grown quite a bit and is pretty similar in size now to 1. Update: 01/29/2025-soil was pretty dry so watered both again with food. Also measurement update and pictures added. 01/31/25- topped and plain watered. The thrips infection is gone but there’re still a lot of damaged leafs as you can see in the photos/videos, but the growth hasn’t slowed down which is good. Anyway after I did some research into the big bang strain I found out that the company that sells this strain recommends “flushing” for a few days every other week starting from day 16 of flowering. This is meant to speed up bud development and I think it really did something here as the buds got twice as big. But I didn’t exactly follow their recommendations as it calls for watering the plants with large amounts of water and letting the soil dry for a few days and I don’t feel comfortable with that, so I watered them every day but made sure the soil was dry.

At the end of week 6 the Blue Dream is holding up. Unfortunately the lady has not bloomed the way she was supposed to due to a lack of the essential nutrients, with that being said she is still blooming considerably. The calyxes are continuing to swell and signs of bud formation. The pistols are beginning to dull. The blue dream has grown 5 cm this week and now she’s using her energy to complete her bloom stage standing at approximately 90cm tall.

New grow attempt after 7 failure 😭 Wish me luck

This one is going to be weirdly exciting like all grows… but nothing beats growing strain you know nothing about down to to it’s ID. This is why this diary is dubbed Unknown Strain, and a lot more journals will be dubbed unknown strain. eg. Unknown Strain #1 - these strains are seeds I’ve collected and forgot to catalogue Unknown Strain (dealer/grow name #1) - I have it this way,to indicate where or from whom did I get the seed, but failed to get the accurate information regarding the strain. Alike this particular diary. I received seeds from my friend saplug16.20_exotic_genetics. Check out his work on instagram, his my mentor in growing. But I go overboard when it comes to growing. Ever since I’ve seen YouTube videos of growers growing weed plants like bonsais, I started growing my plants like I am growing actual bonsais, LST them in shapes and size while using defoliation and topping to achieve aesthetics. This type of growing is not focused on yield more for the hobbyist who grows for themselves and close friends. But I want to see if I can get more yield with this type of growing bud.
