Hello Growmies, As we round up week 5 with our Watermelon Candy F1 Hybrid by Zamnesia, the growth has been nothing short of impressive. The choice to employ low-stress training (LST) rather than topping has paid dividends, with the plants responding well to the gentle guidance of their growth, seamlessly integrating into the SCROG setup. This method has allowed for an even canopy spread, optimal light penetration, and air flow, which is critical for the health of the plants and ultimately the yield. Observing the Watermelon Candy's development, we see a testament to our cultivation methods. The vibrant green leaves reaching skywards, the sturdy stems, and the strategic placement of each branch in the SCROG—every detail points towards a successful vegetative phase. In terms of environmental control, we've applied the lessons learned from our other strains, maintaining a stable and ideal VPD during the day with the Tent-X system. The nights, however, have brought forth the same challenges we've faced with other strains, showing fluctuations in VPD levels. The integration of the Smart Mars Hydro fan into the Tent-X system is anticipated to solve this, and we are optimistic that this change will bring about the consistent conditions needed for the Watermelon Candy's continual thriving. Even with the small hiccup in the nighttime environmental control, the plants are flourishing. The robust health they exhibit is a sign they're ready for the flowering phase, and we expect nothing less than a bountiful harvest. And while we've experienced a bit of frustration with Secret Jardin and Mars Hydro for the integration challenges, we appreciate TrolMaster's efforts to assist. We are hopeful for a resolution soon, or we may revert to the reliable Prima Klima setup. 9/11/24 sadly the sun isnt hitting these girls as much as i wish. theyve got a decent smell and some decent trichome coverage for only being the begining of week 4. hopefully they chunk up and arent too far behind because of the lack of sun/ light penetration. ive had half a mind to move them indoors to finish

Week1

So this is the Tear Down week. The timing of it makes it so i will need to the harvest flag in a few days when I can weight and test the plants. I have included the Cleaning, and Cutting and some Root Porn. I will make the harvest post in about 4-5 days, when I can trim these plants. There is a lot of Plant here. I got way more than I was expecting. I don't have a scale that measure this amount of plant, without taking like 10 measurements and then adding them together. So I will just be posting the dry weight. I will post the wet weight as dry weight * 1.65. Autopots: Wow, what a great product. I have been blown away by how well and how easy it was to work with them. They really did solve the watering issues. Excellent product. If you are a beginner, start with Autopots. -= Lessons Learnt =- - Overdrive the air to your Autopots. In my control plant, I used a small rectangle air stone (instead of a standard air dome). This lead to root rot and some other issues, it also put significantly less air into the water. The root rot, give the material for the Brown Algae to grow. Using a huge Air-disc-Air-Stone would be an excellent combo to mix in with the air dome itself. I had two instances where algae grew into the res. An air stone would have helped. It would have also helped my control plant get less root rot. Given the amount that the air-domes and air sources got engulfed, having the water have more o2 in it would have only been beneficial. - Don't grow 6 plants in a 4x4. Since my control plant was about 1/8th the size of the others, I think I could have grown 5 in the shape of a 5 (on a 6 sided dice)⚄ This placement would give a much more spaced canopy for airflow and more importantly light. The sides of some of the plants were lighter green and produced larf due to lack of light penetration. - This tent was on 19-5 schedule. This worked out very well for this strain. After every lights on, they were in the praying position, so this strain was able to recover in that 5hrs off. If I had more seeds, I would run these again, and try 20-4. I think this strain could handle it. All for all, I think I'm going to 19-5 as my default timing. This kept up a solid DLI. - Staring at .9EC (really .7 EC cause my water here is .2 EC) Then bumping up at .1 a week, until 1.6EC worked out VERY well. I experimented on this crop all the way up to 1.9EC, which burnt the tips of this plant. I think if I did this strain again, I would do 1.6EC until 3-4 weeks left then crank it to 1.9. It did plump them up when I went to 1.9, however it left them looking rough. Bulk was added though. - Sticking to 6.0PH for all of veg, and 2 weeks into flower worked great. The plant had solid and consistent color and leaf shape . The plant's did get hurt, due to some issues (as noted on the weeks). I switched to 6.5 PH in the last 3-4 weeks and it helped them recover, and plump up noticeably. -VPD. The #1 thing I focused on was VPD. I keep it .9kpa range, as best as humanly possible. It was honestly, HUGELY noticeable compared to my other grows. I know truly understand the value of properly dialed in VPD. This is the one lesson that will stick with me forever. - Super-cropping: On the plants I give the chiropractic treatment too, had much thicker stems as much larger channel internally. I did this treatment to 4 of the 6, and the 4 that had it done has larger buds and recovered from defoliation faster. TLDR; VPD is king. Super-cropping is worth the time. Keeping PH and EC dialed in were all wins. Autopots kick ass.

Last week of smart proteins she got it once maybe twice by now, had a tough week not gonna lie the travails of the grower what are you gonna do 😅 drinking a bit, no nutrients yet, she might get a pk boost who the tf knows 😎 dropped her lights to 10/14 to induce resin production now these absolutely reak lol can't quite put my finger on it , sometimes it's really sweet citrus sometimes it's dankier 🚀

Ab hier wieder auf Deutsch. #1 ist heute 37 Tage alt, #2 26 Tage. Ich habe versucht diese Woche etwas besser zu dokumentieren um den Report ab hier sauber zu führen. Beide Pflanzen haben 5G Bloom pro Liter Erde bekommen und wurden mit Enhancer gegossen, sie zeigen keinerlei Mängel und der Trieb der gebrochen war hat sich erholt. Ich habe bereits das SCROG Netz über den Pflanzen installiert. Auf Anfrage hat mir GC mitgeteilt das ich ab morgen den Blüte Dimmer der PWR-4 auf 25% stellen soll. Dann BW2 auf 50 und BW3 auf 100%. Ich freu mich schon auf die nächsten 7 Wochen.

Day 99: New Week We've decided against using additional nutrients and have completely stopped fertilizing. The light cycle has been reduced to 11 hours, and we're already starting to give them cooler water. Starting Monday, I will be watering with ice water to stress the plants further, aiming for higher yield, more terpenes, and increased frost. The adjustment to the light cycle should also help the plants ripen evenly. The lights are hanging about 20 cm above the buds, which are getting thicker every day, soaking up the light intensely. In about a week, most of the plants should be ready for harvest. We plan to stop watering them for about 100 hours before harvest. During this period, I'll place ice cubes on the soil to shock the roots one last time. 48 hours before harvest, I will turn off the lights, giving the plants two days of darkness. After this period, the plants will be cut and hung to dry.

I may need to kill one of the little shits. Looks like great growth 11 days from emerging. Top next week

My harvest was trimmed bud at 217.3 grams, then smaller buds, and some leaf material was 59.3 grams. Easily a half pounder auto under a 100 watt Spiderfarmer SF-1000 light. Hi everyone :-) This week a lot of nice things happened in the flower tent :-) Everyone looks super nice, and is growing stronger and more beautiful week by week 😍👌. The blue cheese smells like a dream ;-) As usual from this variety 👍. The kosher tangie is also very, very tasty 👏🏻. Both got Pk 13/14 this week for the last time :-) Everyone else is developing very well 👍, That will be the last diary with several strains together :-) In future everyone will come individually 👌. Stretching is slowing down now. I defoliated reasonably hard 2 weeks ago , now I know I should have gone harder but this is my first time growing this strain. I've got one pheno that's looking like it will be done in the next week or two . I have one pheno that has very few stigma which is something I've only ever seen before on super lemon haze crossed with mimosa evo . You can see them in the video. Keep growing 💚

This is my 1st autoflower grow in a while and from fastbuds. So far I am satisfied by the rate of growth. Cant wait to move into my new place and set up another grow tent. 2 are still smaller from starting in the flower room and have not yet started to show pistils.

This week noticed the plants grow considerably faster, and the roots have shown impressive growth after just one week.
