Joah420 Whats up growdiaries community, so this is my first attempt at growing autos, (or anything for that matter), based U.K so having to do it discreetly!
I am brand new to the game and learning as i go, any tips i would love to hear from you guys as i update the dairy.
So my first week i really enjoyed, i am using dinafem as i heard great reports from a fellow stoner, and he had great results. Out of the 9 seeds, all 9 soaked for 18 hours, 8 i germinated via paper towel method, and 1 straight potting, out of the 9 seeds all had success which im extremely happy with for my first attempt, im no seed expert but hats of to dinafem :)!
I am now into day 7 from planting, pictures above.
My main concern moving forward is humidy levels they have been okay so far for the current stage i beleive, sitting temps 22-25Β° / humidiy averaging 70, today i got a new fan in and it has helped massively i can now get down to 55-60 at lowest it seems, one thing i am not using is an exhaust system which i am thinking of adding in the next few weeks, would this sort the problem, or would it be worth investing in a dehumidifier?
Happy 420!!!
Much love!

Joah420 Another fun week of growing and learning, fascinated by how fast things are taking off. All seems to be going good. Think they are now at the right size to start tieing down so i think from tomorrow i will have that sorted.
Happy saturday everyone, have a great weekend :)

Joah420 Another great week & lots of growth! The following day after last week's diary post i decided to tie down the plants to get more light to areas, (my first time ever doing this i was a nervous wreck in the hopes i didnt snap one of my babies) using rubber gentle supports, bought from a garden centre which in the end i found very easy to use and easy to adjust, downside they are slightly chunky but that wasnt a bother.
Started to introduce some biogrow, all seems to be going fine.
Two things im really unsure of at this present time,
1) is this now the start of the flowering stage? or ending the veg stage would someone point me in the right direction π
2) i have been providint 250-300ml water every 2nd day when all usual signs are starting to take place is this enough?
From next weekend i should have my carbon filter n exhaust system, so i can regulate the RH alot smoother which im excited about π
Thanks guys hope you have a great weekend :)!

Joah420 Another week on, minds still blown at how fast these plants grow and develop! π started upping their watering amounts, and introducing some more nutrients, and my exhaust fan & carbon filter is currently being ready to be set up ππ
Flowering starting to show more and more daily, excited ive made the half way mark π
Nah you donβt want to stress the plant while it is flowering. If the LST was not applied during veg and the branches hadnβt finished snapping back to their original position, then it is unwanted stress on the plant.
Joah420 This strain is fantastic to grow, another week down and flowering is really starting to show ππ untied them after last week's post and they have really reacted well.
Humidity still isnt as low as i would like even with carbon filter n exhaust fan and a dehumidifier its sitting 58-62, all plants seem to be doing fine though thankfully.
Starting to produce some smell now when in and out of the tent, god bless carbon filters ππ
Excited to see what the next few weeks have in store. Have a great weekend everyone π

Joah420 Another fantastic week for the ladies I absolutely love this strain growing, glad i went ahead with it for my first attempt at growing, so far been very manageable, fast progressing, and out of the 7 running none have came into any problems, they all seem to be progressing at similar speeds, bar 1 which seems to be a week or so behind however has major growth spots and looks fantastic so i have placed it central now to get the full benefits of both lights.
1)I'm wondering when i should knock of the feeding?
2) any suggestions for the last stretch to harvest to increase yield? I have done a very tiny amount of defoliation throughout the last few weeks which has seemed to help airflow and some bud sites π
Thanks for looking π

Joah420 Another week down, lots of growth this week. Got rid of a few leaves blocking light getting to major bud spots and the plants seem to have reacted okay with it all, made sure didn't go overboard. Plants producing a strong citrus/fruity smell when opening and closing tent, the smell after touching them is just incredible sticky, fruity fingers for hours π if anyone is thinking of growing these ladies invest in a carbon filter (So glad I did before flowering), im running 7 in total and the house is filled with the aroma after the tent being open a few minutes, (I don't mind, neighbours might).
Give a nice big water on Monday, let the plants do their thing throughout the week until drying up and provided a feed with less nutes than normal, which they seem to drink up instantly!
Each plant has grew different, size / shape, however all providing equally as nice bud sites and size, absolutely amazing to compare each one beside each other.
Managing to keep humidiy low 50s, good air flow constantly and temps sitting 20 in dark 24-26 with lights on.
Noticed slight yellowing on tips of some leaves very tiny and slight bend, is this due to nutes? Only came around within the last few days.
Shall upload some close ups with the jewlers piece tomorrow ππ thanks for looking and all the help so far from everyone who has commented!
Attached video as didn't get much time to picture - got some more pics in today + close ups

Joah420 Day 70 in soil πππ I never thought I'd make it this far tbh! I stopped giving the ladies nutes and have just started feeding phed water, and they seem to have all really taken well to it, some last week showing signs of problems which I think was due to the last feed, minor flush and all seem to be okay I think.
The smell now is very strong when the tents open a lovely fruity aroma, touching the buds leaves the hands covered and stinking of a fruity lemon/citrus smell (could live with the smell, unreal).
The buds have all started to fatten up massively over the last 14 days, some plants producing some amazing colours, all plants have their own difference however all producing equally as good bud sits and growth. I have no past growing experience but im glad I went for dinafem critical 2.0 after some research prior they have been forgiving throughout my learning stages and have been easy maintenance so far!
Will get a few close ups with the jewlers glass tomorrow, thinking off letting them run another 7 days until harvest what's everyone's opinions?
Thanks for looking, have a great weekend :)!!
*updated new photos today day 74 in soil*
So that's my first ever grow completed! And something tells me i don't think it will be the last ππ€ overall I am proud as punch with the end result.
Overall from 7 plants I ended up with 5 1/2 oz dry, top buds seem to be more compact and built up, 50-60% are airy, however absolutely packed with thc shining! Being my first grow its all for personal use so i dont mind ππ any suggestions moving forward for future increase in fatter/denser nugs would be appreicated.
I ran 2 x 600 watt cheap led lights, which im 100% certain dimmed towards the last 3 weeks (the brightness dramatically reduced) making me think that a few leds burnt out throughout - I think moving forward i would look into better spec grow light. Tent 120x120x180cm.
Found these girls very easy to grow, very forgiving for anything i done wrong being my first experience. The plants grew all different shapes and sizes I done some lst rather late into the grow which I think give some funky growth shapes, in the end all grew out with loads of bud locations all over. Really wish I had given more space for light penetration.
I ran 6 fabric pots and 1 plastic, I felt the ladie in the plastic pot took off much quicker than the rest and on cutting down seemed to have the best root setup, anyone else have an opinion on what they find best?
The smells and taste are very very fruity and cirtusy/lemon, smoke nice head high still curing will update with full smoke report in a week or so! Towards the last 3 weeks or so the smell from the plants was strong and very fruity, would reccomend a carbon filter if trying to stay down low.
Went for 48 hours darkness prior to cutting, seemed to work! After 48 hours the buds surprisingly had swole not a massive amount but a noticeable difference π
Used all my trim and alot of of the pop corn nugs for butter so nothing went to waste currently making a huge batch for some tastey treats.
Would love another blast at growing these ladies, learnt alot throughout and will take the knowledge to future grows!
Thanks for all the love and support on my first grow, and keeping me right throughout, and dinafem for my giving my
Until next time π
- 2 week curing update
- have been removing from glass jars daily, airing and placing back in.
Buds curing up amazing in glass jars, day by day the smell gets better and the buds are starting to dry up. The smell is incredible one of the nicest smelling strains I've encountered, real fruity fuel smell hard to describe mouth watering material π€€π€€ buds are and green some with hints of purple through them and nice and shiney!
Smoke report -
Very heavy head high really surprised and the strength it produced, nice relaxing high, with a nice fruity after taste!
Final verdict - super happy with everything and the learning I've taken throughout, growdiaries community has been a blessing throughout and have had great pleasure watching other people's success on the journey!
Dinafem seeds I'd highly reccomend to anyone!

Overall from 7 plants I ended up with 5 1/2 oz dry, top buds seem to be more compact and built up, apart from that the majority 70-80% are very airy, however absolutely packed with thc shining! Being my first grow its all for personal use so i dont mind ππ any suggestions moving forward for future increase in fatter/denser nugs would be appreicated.

You should go by the color of the pistils and trichomes to estimate when to stop your nutes and start your flush. When about 50% of the pistils have turned brown/red and start to curl all the ways in you should start checking the trichome color. Once you see about 50% half cloudy trichome you should start your flush ideally about 2 weeks before harvest give or take a few days. Depending on what type of high you like will determine at what stage of color change of the trichomes to harvest her. Mostly cloudy/milky with 5% to 30% amber is usually a good range. The more amber the more of a body high you'll have off her. Is this just one plant or more than one? Also it would be a good idea to try to lower your humidity if possible.
@Philindicus, man this is great information thank you very much, thanks for taking the time to explain it all! In total there is 7 critical 2.0 in 10ltr pots and 1 xxx moby dick in 10ltr :)! I've tried everything to reduce humidy it sits between 50-60 currently π« I have a full extractor/carbon filter setup, however it's max for 6 plants could be reason its not pulling the extra bit, also have a 2 ltr dehumidifier in there too to try help which seems to be collecting decent volumes of water, would you reccomend anything else pal?
Great info man honestly π
@Joah420, sounds like your doing the best you can with the humidity I'm sure it goes up and down between waterings.as long as you have good air circulation in there you should be good.
Iβm UK based as well. My advice β just donβt tell anyone what you are up to. Keep it to yourself 100%.
Your grow looks a lot like mine. Iβm just using a smaller space, 4 square feet with 300w LED. I started with 9 seeds as well. 2 didnβt sprout in my peat pellets. Will try sprouting on tissue next time. Seems to give better results. Good luck!
@Lucidite, rule number 1 of growing, tell no one!
How are you finding 300w for 7 plants so far? I estimated i only need 1000 for my space, and could add id say up to 8 more in there however i dont want to run to risk and the maintenance on my first attempt. Thank you very much, ill keep an eye on yours :)!
@Joah420,
300w seems to be working for the space. My understanding is the light strength impacts the square footage your can grow in, not the number of plants. I calculated I could fit 9 two litre pots in that space. But maybe the light strength is the reason the middle plant is the fittest? Iβll know if the same thing happens the next time as well. Next time Iβll try 9 again. But I might try some LST.
@Joah420, The finish line is super close my friend π
Another 5 days maximum and it will be βοΈ time π
You've got some huge flowers to harvest and those colours are stunning π
Not long now mateπ
All the best βοΈ
Mark..
@DinafemSeeds, amazing stuff that's was my next question, one thing I'm unsure of before cutting them down should I let the plants dry out or continue watering, and should it be done at any time of the day or is there a specific timing for best results?
The pictures don't do justice for the colours they're absolutely beautiful!
Thanks for the support throughout man! π
@Joah420, feed them Nitro? XD
You can buy some nutrients online or at a local green center. You need NPK for veg of a ratio 4-4-2.
For the flowering stage you need more P and K but less N.
@Joah420, my lower leaves have all gone yellow. But I put seedlings into soil with a starting dose of nitrogen. Been giving them Nutes since week 2. I think it was over watering. Be careful not to spread the water too far from the plant. You have gone straight into big pots. I overwatered mine and ended up locking out the nutrients. Proper watering fixed and no new yellow leaves.
Looking good! Iβm just through week nine. 44 days into flowering. My pistols are about 40% brown on the most advanced plant. Iβm starting to watch trichomes daily. Canβt make out any cloudy ones yet. Iβd say 2.5 weeks to harvest. Iβll start flushing mid week. Donβt flush too early!
It has been a wet week. Hard to keep humidity down. Iβm feeling it too.
@Lucidite, You're right it has, been sitting sometimes in the 60s the humidity for myself π ππ€ however all seems well thankfully! Ill hold back on flushing then for the time being thank you for the info.
Can't wait to see the results for both of us, been enjoying your updates each week π
Edit Remove
@Canadian, so far its been a joy to grow, it seems to be very easy to manage, all growing at a steady similar pace and lots of growth since last week shall update tomorrow with this weeks results. Thanks for the comment pal!
Yes definitely nervous times bending branches or tying down. My 1st grow I had to super crop... so i can understand how you felt.
Grow π± well
πβοΈπΌ
The yellowing at the bottom of your plant is either one of two things: lack of Nitrogen, meaning your baby needs some food, or you may need to lower your light so it penetrates to the bottom. Good Luck ....
The early LST, cropping and training work is now going to pay of as you enter bloom with our Critical+2.0 auto π
Looking good from here my friend π
All the best βοΈ
Mark..
@DinafemSeeds, shes came along magic mate, i cant wait to see what the next few weeks hold! π from your past experience would you say 10 weeks for these ladies?
Really glad went for the critical 2.0 man, loving every thing about them! Great strain
@Joah420, Thank you for the kind words and positive feedback my friend π
She still looks a couple of weeks away from harvest possibly another 21 day's π
Have you thought about adding Molasses to your feed regime as a booster? It's organic and a great additive to boost the yield and imo trichome production π
Thanks for this week's update mate π
All the best βοΈ
Mark..
@DinafemSeeds, Anytime mate credit where it's due! I've never heard of it going to have a look at it now, im absolutely clueless to nutes I just read online and winged the ones im currently using, any others you've found useful for autos I welcome! Thanks for the info on the molasesses ππ
Cheers Mark mate nearly the finish line sir!
@lotus_bloom, hi mate after germination and placed in soil, i used a sprayer, and just created enough so top layer central was moist, and from here just sprayed regularly everytime i noticed it started to show signs of drying, then each week with more strength was able to up it, from what i read in the first few weeks they are developing a their root system to much water will cause the roots to struggle
