I made a DWC system from a water pump in a 5gallon bucket and an air pump outside the bucket. The water pump brings water up through a tube to replicate a drip ring and the air pump aerates the water in the reservoir. It's very quiet and seems to work well. I modified a design I got from my local hydroponics guy where I also got the net pot and peat pellet. I soaked the peat pellet in tap water that I'd left out overnight to evaporate out the chlorine. I put the seed in the hole in the top and pushed some peat over the hole. I kept it on a plate under a bowl in a drawer for a few days like I would do for the paper towel method. Then I put it in a rock wool cube. It didn't quite fit and I was worried that I might have hurt the root while forcing it in but it looks OK. Then I put it under my light and waited for it to sprout. Now that I've got a sprout happening, I'll plug in the DWC system and put in some starting nutrients. This is my first time running a hydroponics system after almost 10 years growing, so I'm excited :)

Fattys are growing and seem to be thirstier.Used foliar spray to help the leaves and also started tucking. When the plant was topped pistils were seen for first time.

Day 42 week 6 Feed a bonide mixture 2nd time in a week. Pest have gotten worse but trying to manage persistently. Growth seems to be picking up. Added a 2nd mars hydro Cree 128 as I got a new flower light. Trying to get them used to the new lights and a better ppfd range as I was using the wrong measurements for the past year of growing around 75 umol range … surprising yeilds though with knock off lights in those conditions looking back on it. Next grow will be smooth hopefully lol Day 47 Top dressed 444 Gia green 2 tbps Alfalfa meal 1 tbsp Kelp meal 2 tbsp Crab meal 2 tbsp Asomite 1 tsp Gradual humid acid 1 tsp Glacier rock dust 1 tsp 1-1.5 tbsp of em bokashi bran .5 mykos gruanual mycorrhizal fungi Also sprinkled some langbeinite on I’m thinking there’s potassium deficiency in the soil mixture with this long veg and haven’t feed much potassium. Leafs showing some signs of it. Added 1 inch mulch layer of rabbit compost/ wood chips and spread some clover seeds underneath. Finally got my silica in the mail so soaked it all down with 3ml or 3 grams of 1 gallon of water split between each plant sprayed into soil evenly. They are already feed so this way just to get everything started under the new mulch layer. Will spray bonide on plants to continue with any pest issues leftover.

Had a bad week 4 as my PH pen decided to go wonky. Once I got it all straitened out plants took a few days to bounce back and took some lower leaf damage but nothing to bad and it will mostly be trimmed off soon anyway. Still waiting to start LST on 3 of these girls until they get a few days of normalcy after the ph shock. Will probably be end of week five we tie the other 3 down and get the screens in place to prep for Scrog.

Hi everyone :-) . This week the Orange Sherbert, Blue Gelato # 41 and Sour Diesel were harvested 😍. The Her Majesty F1 was in the darkroom and stays there for 48 hours before it is harvested. The gelato will be placed in the darkroom in the next few days. As soon as the gelato has been dried for about 14 days, and comes into the glass for fermentation, I will put all the harvest pictures of all plants in it 👍😎. Fragrances are really starting to develop this week. Both phenotypes smell differently. Leia has more of an earthy vibe going on so far while Maz smells straight up like candy! 🍬 Leia's yellow pistils are still stretching like crazy and her buds are nice and stacked. The bud structure on the Maz phenotype are very reminiscent of the Skywalker OG that was the mama for this cross. It's really cool to see and appreciate the differences. I changed my watering practices from 1 gallon every 6 days to 1/2 gallon every 3-4 days. The plants have seemed much happier with the change. 😉

D22/V20 - 14/09/23 - CO2 Dispenser is working good 💨💨💨 D23/V21 - 15/09/23 - Added some LST to bend her down 🌿🌿 D24/V22 - 16/09/23 - EC raised up to 1.0. 📒 pH trend is down, so I'm going to change the water in the next days 🧠 D25/V23 - 17/09/23 - Now CO2 is provided by Batman 😋 🦇🦇🦇 D26/V24 - 18/09/23 - Added LST and made some defolation 🌿🌿🌿. EC is 1.1 and pH is 6 📒 D27/V25 - 19/09/23 - LST and new bending 🌿🌿. EC 1.2 pH 6.2 📒 D28/V26 - 20/09/23 - All seems ok, but I noticed some strange spots on her. I'm going to investigate ️

Week 6 flower, half way there! Buds are starting to fill in now and getting some decent frost. A couple of tops are getting more light than others, and fattening a bit more and looking real nice. It looks like there is some purple starting to come out at the tops. Also spotted some discolouration on a few leaves closest to the light, so I turned the one light down to 60-75%, no need to push it at this point and burn her up! She will go as fast as the soil and environmental conditions will allow her to. Hand watered in Gaia Green Soluble Seaweed Extract 0-0-17, otherwise water drip is running on same schedule. Just using straight tap water that sits in a 30 gallon reservoir with a submergible water pump running 24/7 breaking surface and aerating water. Water comes out the tap @ 7ph and less than 15ppm. SPONSORED DIARY===SPONSORED DIARY===SPONSORED DIARY TRANSPLANT #3 THIS WEEK!!!! Big week, did the last transplant of the grow before she enters flower. I decided to skip out on the 3gal and upgraded to a 4.97 or 5gal container. The plastic is cheep and looks like it was going to break but its all the grow store had in stock at the time. Was talking to them about going from a 2gal to 3gal and how it did not do much for the plant but stress it out. They also gave me a free sample of a bokashi fertilizer, I divided that in between the two plants. It looks identical to the regular non fertilizer branded bokashi, and I feel its the same but with a mist of NPK on it or something. Plants are doing well, Dynomyco had a slighter bigger root ball upon transplant and the plant its self is a tiny bit more robust. Given all the other soil boosters and microorganisms I have added into this, I don't feel I will see the true potential of just Dynomyco vs soil nothing else added. I just can't not add the others as it feel like a massive step backwards and end of day a big healthy plant is worth it. This diary may not have massive contrast in favour of Dynomyco but I will still use it none the less and I think its helps plus its not over just yet.
