🇺🇸 Grow Journal – Week 12 | Pineapple Upside Down (Veg) Week 12 of veg — the Pineapple Upside Down is cruising steady and looking stronger than ever. I’ve been letting her just do her thing, focusing on recovery and structure before deciding if I’ll top her later. At this stage, it’s all about patience and letting her build up natural vigor. Nutrient-wise, still running the Athena Blended line, holding the mix at EC 1.4. I’ve been experimenting with Athena Balance, and I have to say — it’s impressive. My base water pH usually fluctuates between 6.3 and 6.8, depending on the day. I add 1 ml of Balance, which actually brings it up close to pH 9.3. Once the nutrients are mixed in, the solution drops back down to around pH 7–7.2, and from there I fine-tune it with a touch of pH Down to land right around 6.0–6.1. I allow a gentle drift down to 5.8, but whenever it hits that mark, I bump it back up slightly to keep things steady around 6.1–6.2. Honestly, Athena keeps the reservoir incredibly clean — crystal clear every time. It’s one of those small details that really makes a difference when you’re running hydro long-term. Temperatures are holding around 22–23°C, with humidity between 70 and 75%, which keeps the environment perfect for steady vegetative growth. She’s lush, healthy, and just waiting for her turn in the flower tent — if I had more space, she’d probably be flipping already. That’s about it for this week — nothing flashy, just solid progress and patience. Can’t wait to see how she performs once she hits flower. Less is more. Lesson learned. Without training these plants, having the fifth plant has really cramped the tent. Because I have limited space for the tent, access into the sides isn't possible. I have only the front entrance. Next time I think I will stick yo maybe three strains that have been positive and try and find the time to train more. The WOS-Northern/Skunk has grown out so nicely into a Xmas tree type of posture. She is making her really good friends with her neighbours, perhaps to their detriment. Seedsman Blueberry continues to be solid and unphased by anything. This is the first time I have smelled a plant that has such a fruity aroma. It really took me aback in surprise. Very cool. HiFi 4G needs support. Did a McGyver solution for the time being. Doesn't appear to have bulked up much this week. Jack is about the same. A bit of bulk up but not expecting this one to be a big yielder. Appears healthy overall so I'm happy. CBD+ bulked up for sure on the main cola's. I'm skeptical she will be done at 60 days at this point....but have to trust what Dinafem are telling me. Be safe folks.

Last week, 2 irrigations, gave her plain water. Beautiful colours, it was a pleasure to grow such a pretty plant, production is going to be like 10 grams i expect, Cloudy days and bad weather while growing and flowering, but quality seems pretty good, she is so frosty and smells like fruits. 1 week of drying, and curing at the moment. Put the weed in jars with Boveda 62. Im making a harvest post with the smoke effects flavour and all the stuff, so you can get more details about the high, flavour and quality. This Spring I was asking @James from RQS, wich recommendations he can give for Good Outdoor Performer in my Country. ( Northern Europe) Because most of the Year i have to Harvest earlier due bad Weatherconditions. Because in 3rd .of September, weather changes, and big Rain begins He recommended me Honey Cream and Speedy Chile So I started Grows with this Strains And its a Superstrain!! for my Conditions, That means they get ready in Time, before everything gets worse Great growing Strain, very big and stable Branches, .........When they started Flowering they go in Overdrive The Result is a wonderful strong Plant, filled on and on with Buds Today we harvested The Lady in the 75l Growpot On Sunday the Lady into the ground, gets Harvested We made some Photoshooting and Videos to show her Beauty, but its nearly impossible To catch her in Pictures but we tried Luckyly ii nvented in a wet trimming machine, and the Lady was cut down in short Time, and gave us a good Number ( i have no cluehow much,,,Iam guessing for 300 g) Sunday October 4th Second Honey Cream was Harvested, She had agood shot Of Purple due Cold nights. She was so fresh , when I took of the Bif Leaves, they made asmacking Sound Plant Number 2 was sitting in The Ground, I started fertilising her late( 2 weeks before Harvest), but not tooo Late She nearly catched up , in Budbuiding her Sister. I SOAKED THE SEEDS IN A CUP OF WATER, WITH A DASH OF HYDROGEN PEROXIDE, FOR 24 HRS. I THEN DUMPED THEM ON A PLATE BETWEEN PAPERTOWLS, AND ANOTHER PLATE(NOT TOO SOAKED-MAKE ROOM FOR AIR) UNDERNEATH I PLACED A HEATING PAD UNDER THE PLATE, FOR 24 HRS, TIIL THEY POP AND ROOT TAIL IS QUARTER TO HALF AN INCH FROM THERE I PLACED THEM IN PRE-SOAKED JIFFY PELLETS, AND PLACED THEM IN A GERMINATION KIT/WITH LID DOME. I DEFINETLY MESSED UP BY KEEPING THEM TOO MOIST. AND HAD TO TREAT THEM WITH A HYDROGEN PEROXIDE(3%)DELUTED WITH WATER, UNDER AND TOPPED. THEY ARE 10 DAYS NOW, I BEEN TRYNA HARDEN THEM OFF, PLAN ON TRASNFERING THEM TO THE SYSTEM. WISH ME LUCK

What can I say this thunder fuck is so smooth to smoke, I just can't stop growing it! I am in uncharted waters here because I've gone full organic no till. This will be my first time using grassroots living soil pots and first time using this brand new soil mix. Also to help with costs I decided to make a 5 gal tea reactor, to grow out the EM1 which will save me about 75% on all microbe products, and also save on feralization when used in conjunction with foliar sprays. Hallo Ihr lieben 💚 Woche 2. hat bekommen, die Damen wurden in Ihre 20l Töpfe umgezogen und haben inzwischen wieder Fuß gefasst. Bald werden die kleinen getoppt und dann wird es auch endlich wieder etwas spannender. Ich finde die ersten Wochen vergehen immer sehr langsam. Genießt das tolle Wetter und habt einen guten Start ins Wochenende. ☀️

So zum Wichtigen 🤪🤤🍯🍯🍯🍈 Gepresst wurden 64 G Smalls von Fresca Melon die ganz unten wuchsen, also eigentlich die Reste der Reste 🤣 & 30 G Permanent Marker aber Tops 😎🤤 Welche ich leider nicht weiter Dokumentiert hatte bis auf das Jar, was mit 8,3 g da steht, also anders heftige Ausbeute! Die 64 g smalls hatte ich zuvor eingefroren und wollte diese waschen, da das nicht so geklappt hatte dachte ich mir nochmal trocknen und pressen… Alle wurden in 90 Micron Bags gepresst, Tatsächlich bis 6000 psi was im Nachhinein wohl zu gut gemeint war aber sei es drum… Aus 64 g trocken Fresca Melon 1,5 Wochen getrocknet im Cure Fridge Self Made, sind insgesamt ca 7 g raus gekommen, dafür das es echt fluffige smalls waren ganz gut, Rosin riecht super und schmeckt sehr lecker, solange man unter 210 C bleibt beim dampfen bleiben die Lipide etc. im Banger und man hat keinen Reiz oder Ähnliches. Geschmacklich und Wirkung super keine Frage. Aus den 30 G Headbuds vom Permanent Marker sind tatsächlich heftige 8,1 G raus gekommen. Diese haben bereits 1 Monat + cure hinter sich und nach dem Pressen war die Konsistenz bereits wie Butter, müsste nicht einmal Wippen aber habs trotzdem getan. Alle rosins wurden nach 7-10 Tagen gewipped. Werde in Zukunft den Großteil meiner Beute zu Rosin verarbeiten da ich das viel lieber dampfe, die Wirkung viel angenehmer und cleaner ist. 🤪🤤🍈🍯

Day 49-56 (Day 50) I hooked up my carbon filter to the humidity controller and it is keeping the room exactly at 65-70% RH night and day. It looks like it turns on about every 45 minutes for about 5 minutes so it allows me to run the co2 bag properly. I don’t even have to use my dehumidifier. The room is 100% dark now too. Even the small red lights on the space heaters. Not going to feed anything other than foliars this week. (Day 51) Blackberry #4 & #8 #9 and white widows #2 & #3 are all confirmed males. Chopped them down and recycled the soil. White widow #1 is the first official female and I’m starting to see pistils on the m39/zkittlez too. Plants seem to be responding to the light fairly well. It’s hung 32 inches above the canopy which is as high as it can go without strapping it to the roof, which may have to happen one day. The plant can get within 6 inches of the light so I’m probably good. The ppfd output is 1800umols which is super high so I want to hang them as high as possible in veg. I wish I could rent a ppfd meter to see if I’m in range at 32”. (Day 52) Blackberry breath #3 is the first official bbb female to show. I decided to scrap BCTG #2. It sounded like a good strain but after looking at pictures of people who have grown it online, it doesn’t look up to my standards. I found a very small patch of powdery mildew on one of the leaves so I’m not even going to start with that shit again. I’m really thinking about scrapping the m39/zkittlez and the white widow too. I’m praying that I get at least 4 females of BBB. I tried super cropping for the first time today. A few of the branches I definitely squished a bit too much as they turned quite brown and looked dead within a day. (Day 53) Despite the m39/zkittlez vigorous growth, I know it will be a shitty strain that will most likely herm as it’s from a bag seed of low grade weed. I’ve decided instead of scrapping it, I will use it for experimenting with a new chemical powdery mildew preventative. If it dies oh well. I doused it and chopped a limb off a few hours ago during lights on and it seems fine. (Day 54) I’m about 90% sure BBB 6&7 are both female. #2 & #5 are looking like males but too early too tell. #1 is really tough to say. Just gotta be patient I guess. #3 has a great spread out structure, I hope it doesn’t stretch too much. The scrogging is a priority. I put up the scrog net just to see how it fits. It’s a little small around the edges but that’s fine. So it’s looking like out the 9, I would be lucky to get 4 fems if #1 & 7 would show forsure already. If #1 is a female I have my 4 and I can throw out the white widow. The white widow is just insurance at this point. Super cropped plants have recovered nicely. Going to continue doing this more. I’ve noticed that the plants that were put into my custom soil mix have very small fan leaves compared to the fabric pots of straight promix and dry amendments. Could also be the fabric pot is helping dry downs too. (Day 56) I’m seeing some yellowing so I’m going to give a foliar spray just too keep some deficiencies at bay. All of the plants are stunted except the m39 and bbb#3. Node spacing has also reduced significantly. I can’t help but feel it’s from the intensity of my lights but maybe they just need a transplant into some new soil something. Luckily the stunt and droop is only really happening to what I suspect are male plants anyway. Leaves are looking twisted and gnarled on #5. Going to move it into the veg tent for a while. I’m going to mix up and amend my Destiny/coco blend today and transplant bbb#3 and 6 & 7 in a few days. I mixed them up in contractor bags making sure to toss and turn vigorously. Here is my blend: 2 bags 40L Destiny soil 2 bags 40L coco 700ml glacial rock dust 700ml oyster shell flour 700ml nature’s pride bloom 300ml basalt rock dust 150ml langbeinite 150ml nature’s pride veg I am also going to try the Destiny top dress as it’s only 13 bucks a bag and full of good shit. I’m trying to not feed heavy in flower other than 2 or 3 top dresses and 2 teas and nothing after week 5. Because it’s taken so long for the plants to show sex, when I transplant into the 10 gallon pots, they should have more than enough nutrients too keep them going strong all the way through flower with just water. I’m a little skeptical about that though. Besides teas and dressings are fun. Everything should be broken down by week 8 or so. Will transplant in a few days.

WOW!!! She's f'ing huge!!! Definitely the largest auto I've ever grown. The bud sites are still in early development but she's beautiful. However, I think she's suffering a little from the heat in the attic (where my grow tent is). I'll be moving her outside in the next week or so in an effort to help her out. Hoping for the best! 🙏

Learned a lot from this grow and am very happy with the results. Pulled 2.8 Oz and 1.1 Oz of trim/popcorn buds in a one gallon pot. Definitely wont be doing that again, but had a lot of fun throughout the entire process. Going to be starting another grow soon! Very excited for that.
