Added yellow sticky fly traps to all cubes as a preventative measure to avoid infestation of fungus gnats. So far none have been spotted. Defoliated and did a little more LST to all the plants to open up the center and give more light to lower shoots. Blue Dream 3 and Chemdawg 3 started showing some discoloration on the leaves (yellowing around the veins) and also the leaf tips curling down. Did some research and came up with this... Possible diagnosis: - Yellowing around leaf veins could be a sign of Magnesium or Iron deficiency - Leaf tip curling down could be a sign of Nitrogen Toxicity. - Both could be caused by improper ph balance in water Possible solutions: - Applied Botanicare CalMag+ as a foliar feed and added some to the reservoir. CalMag+ contains Calcium, Magnesium and Iron. - Diluted nutrients in reservoir to lower amount of nitrogen being fed to plants. Was feeding them at 1300ppm, lowered it to 1050ppm - Tested runoff and saw it was coming out at 5.4pH so I increased the pH in the reservoir to 6.0. Now the runnoff is testing at 5.7pH, meaning that my rootzone is in the optimal range of 5.5-5.8 Well wait and see how the plants react to these slight tweaks. Hopefully we start to see a nice healthy even green again.

Sorry about the short post. I have been sick the last week and haven't had much time to document the grow. Not much to report anyway. Flowers are growing well and starting to get frosty. She seems super happy and filling out well. There won't be much to report on until about two weeks from now when she really begins to put on weight. Until then I will just be taking a pic or two and maybe a video for the next couple of entries.

This fifth week started off kinda rough. I had to remove some sick leaves that got hit by leaf miners. I’ve cleaned up all the damaged parts from the plants, including this one. On Monday, I’m gonna spray them with a ready-to-use mix that has Neem oil, nettle extract, and horsetail. I also noticed a slight nutrient deficiency, probably because until now I was only watering with untreated tap water — didn’t check the pH at all. Even when I fertilized, I still used water with no pH adjustment. I’ve only just started using pH-controlled water like two or three times now, since I finally bought a pH meter. Now I’m watering and fertilizing with everything adjusted to 6.5, so that’s something I need to keep in mind from now on. I’m planning to bump up the fertilizer to 1 ml per 500 ml of water. I’m using Biobizz Bloom, and I wanna keep the dose like that because the pot is small — just 3.2 liters — so I don’t wanna overdo it with 1 liter of water. I’ve noticed that 500 ml works just fine, so I’ll stick to that. Other than that, everything seems to be going okay.

One week of 12/12 and there stretching out nice I've defoliated the central cola to allow the side branches to catch up. Will start to feed soon

Haven’t done anything, other than start a full dose regiment of nutrients this week. Working on a bigger light situation for my large tent, in the meantime space is limited 😢

Everything went well over vacation! The girls are doing okay overall. They needed bigger pots and it's starting to show overall. Another reason not to use autos cause I can't lollipop. But the watering process is going well. She's not doing hot! The strawberry is looking rough still. I'm considering using synthetic nutrients in this grow to start giving for power. BWiz aka sour wiz is doing absolutely great. Not a single complaint or problem. Really pumping out a stank. (My Skywalker og is harvested. Drying and curing. Once it’s finished I will update that journal with pics and info. So far so good. Def dried out faster then I’d like but hopefully the cure saves my ass a little.)

MY WEED SMELLS LIKE WEED. Filling the room, creeping through the apt, what a glorious time. No major smell worries where I am so I'm just enjoying the atmosphere. 😍 On to Backbuilding/Bud Tipping. (Shoot me any advice on this down below!) I experimented back mid-week with 3 tipped buds that had similar control buds side-by-side. After 4 days there is a noticeable difference in density and bud structure in the 3 tipped buds compared to the very fluffy and softer buds next to them. No overall size difference but the tipped buds are rock hard and filling in gaps down the cola compared to the untipped buds. A light squeeze on both a tipped bud and untipped will tell you the difference right there. Happy with the results after seeing them for myself and lucky enough to find this technique at the end of week 4, I tipped majority of the main colas on Danny and some larger buds on Arnold today. Which means I also get what OG growers call a "First Taste" once my tips dry out and cure for a few days. 😛 Other than tipping, I've just had to keep up with Arnold's feedings since lower leaves are still fading if I skip mineral nute feedings. Looks like they will be getting only PH Perfect and/or Molasses feedings until the final flush since they can't get enough food in the ProMix medium. I've still had constant defoliation during to avoid leaf overlap and light blockage. Since I'm now entering week 5 of flower I'll have to get it where I want in the next couple days and go hands off for the last month or so. Thanks for checking out my grow! Keeping air moving well so far so hopefully I can avoid mold/mildew in last few weeks. Twins are looking good. Arnold still super hungry so I've upped the nutes a tad and skipped plain water feeding until the flush. Just fed them PH Perfect/Molasses cocktail. Big Arnold on the right is definitely rootbound by how the water is draining so I'm looking at a lower yield from the right plant. I get run off from small Danny during a regular feed but takes a lot more to get any from Arnold and I don't want to overwater in this random heat/humidity wave. The Backbuilding/BudTipping is working like a charm. The tipped buds are filling down and way more dense than the untipped. Popped the SoundLink in the tent today to give the twins some music while I go about my business. Hey now, hope everyone is having a great weekend,. It was a good week for all five ladies. The Red Hot Cookies is slightly ahead of the Sundae Driver and Durban Nights. The Green Crack is the slowest growing so far, and the Sundae Driver has some holes in the leaves that I am thinking are from bugs, I have sprayed her twice with neem oil so far so we will see what happens. I topped all five ladies on day 23 above the third node as I am going to build mainlines out of all of them. I am still not able to list my nutrients for some reason, but I am feeding with all GH, Silica, Cal Mag, and Maxi Grow at an EC of 1.2 and a ph between 5.5 and 6.5. I use an auto feeding reservoir with halo feeders set on a timer to feed every 5 hours for one minute. I am hoping to get the second toppings done sometime this week, and then the final toppings done the next, and then flip to flower around week 7 or so. I am still using this Spectrum X from Medic grow, and have it cranked up to about 50% power and they are seeming to love it. We are in the midst of hopefully the final heat wave of the year and I am looking forward to cooler temps and lower humidity by the time I flip to flower.
