Haven’t been able to really check in daily. Been letting it go too dry I think and then messing up by over watering to try and compensate. I added nutrients in hope to make things healthy again but it seems to back fire yet again 😂. At least with this being my first grow I’m learning about the plants life cycle, the environment and myself. I will not be making the same mistakes. A part of me wants to dump all the existing plants and just start over fresh but I want to learn about the curing and harvest as well so if I do so then I’ll be taking away from the new growth in learning being my first time. I also ordered 2 books to help me get a little more educated. I will post the books later on I can’t recall the names of the top of my head rn. Hey everyone! It’s been another fabulous week of the girls fattening up getting ready for the ever looming harvest time! The colas are huge and glistening like a glitter ball! The back right girl has been on flush since day 51, 2 more went on flush on day 53, and the final girl front right went on flush today, day 56! Over the week I gave 3 girls a really heavy defoliation taking the majority of fan leaves off to allow good airflow and try fattening up those lower buds. It’s still impossible to tell if I prefer defoliation or not but we are getting close to harvest so should have a definitive answer to that soon! The back right girl has had absolutely no defoliation or trimming through her life cycle. I still regularly think back to when we broke one of the girls and transplanted, the cannabis gods were on our side warning us 4 girls will be huge, we were very lucky or would be seriously short of space as of now. As the girls are going to be harvested at slightly different times to ensure each are at their optimum, I have had to construct a dry box. How I built my smell free DIY dry box: Take a large cardboard box, cut an extraction hole in the top at one end and mount some ducting and seal the gap around the edge. Cut a flap in the opposite end at the bottom which will be the passive intake and promoting a draft through the hanging buds. Poke some holes in each end of the box using a screwdriver and thread some thin rope or string through the box tying the ends together once finished to give you sturdy locations to hang some pegs from. Finally I attached an extra bit of card on one of the flaps at the top; this overlaps the slight gap in the top between the flaps that could allow light to enter. Once completed I put the ducting into one of the lower intakes of the tent; the negative pressure in the tent then uses the air in the dry box as a passive intake creating a smell free area to dry your cannabis outside of your grow tent. This also keeps a slight breeze flowing through the box to ensure even drying. So far, so good! Stretching is almost done I hope. They are starting to stack on the buds. Still seeing discolouration on the one plant. I’m was going to go full strength. But I think my problem is nutrient lockout from overfeeding. So I did a plain water on day 69.

Plant ran low on nitrogen during stretch. This was cause by the potassium and phosphorus out competing the nitrogen. I solved the issue with a 3 day dry back.

I was very surprised with the outcome i didnt expect much from an auto much less a first grow but my has she really impressed id suggest for a first time growing but im going to start searching for higher potency strain with better germ rates this was the only 1 of 5 who pulled threw. im working on my next run and will be catching it up later today0

Hello growers :) The Jack Herer plants have had another week. The buds have grown nicely again over the past week and their aroma is really strong. We are slowly approaching the finish line of the entire cycle. It is a joy to watch and especially to take pictures. Those autumn colors and trichome-covered buds are breathtaking. I assume that we have at most the last fortnight until harvest. Week 7 Flower – Roller Coaster Haze (Zamnesia Seeds) The Final Push Begins Here we are, Week 7 of flower, and the Roller Coaster Haze girls are standing tall, magnificent, and absolutely covered in white hairs and swelling calyxes. These monster plants have truly lived up to their name, a wild ride from germination until now, and this week marks an important turning point in their journey. This week they received their last feed with nutrients, watered at pH 6.0 and EC 1.42. From here on out, it’s pure water only. The soil still carries enough reserves to sustain them as they finish ripening, and I want them to cleanly express their genetics all the way to harvest. ⸻ Environment Control – Heat vs Balance Outside, the temperatures are brutal — reaching 45°C (113°F) — but thanks to the combined ecosystem of TrolMaster and Spider Farmer controllers, the room remains stable: • Room Temp: ~28–29°C • Humidity: ~65% • VPD: ~1.3–1.4 Even under pressure, the system holds strong, giving the plants exactly what they need to thrive in these final weeks. ⸻ Lighting Adjustments – Simulating the End of the Season Light is one of the most powerful tools we have, and this week we began shifting the spectrum to signal “end of season” to the plants: • Whites & Blues: slowly being reduced • Reds: increased to 100% • Far-Red & Deep Red: 100% • UV: 100% This spectrum mix encourages ripening, resin stacking, and terpene expression while mimicking the natural transition of sunlight as summer ends. The plants respond by pushing their energy into the flowers rather than continuing vegetative growth. ⸻ Plant Development – Giants in Full Force The girls are absolutely towering now, monster plants with stacked colas and pistils shooting out everywhere. Their root systems are so strong that some roots at the soil surface are even thicker than the stalks themselves. By the end of this week, Pheno #3 was harvested, though I will dive into the full harvest details later. Pheno #2 remains in full bloom, swelling, and shining bright. ⸻ What to Expect vs What Not to Expect Expect: • Continued swelling of buds and trichome development • Pistils slowly beginning to darken and curl in • Leaves showing natural fading as stored nutrients are consumed • Stronger aromas and denser resin production Not to Expect: • Any more vegetative growth or stretching • Heavy feedings, the focus now is ripening, not building ⸻ Final Thoughts This week feels like the beginning of the final push. With nutrients removed and the spectrum shifted, the Roller Coaster Haze is entering her true finishing phase. These plants have been a wild, beautiful ride, and it’s only a matter of time now before the final chapters are written. All the girls are very strong and stable from a young age 💚 Training: As I mentioned above, I did the first LST and defoliation, the plants usually quickly re-leaf, other branches will grow quickly. So in this third week I do two defoliations and two LSTs 🍃🌿 The girls grow in a tent: Mammoth Pro+ 80, with reinforced Mylar 600D reflective foil Lighting: Mars Hydro TS1000, this light is sufficient for lighting in my growing space. The plants respond effectively and the light is technically very well managed - I try to have 50cm between the light and the plants, so I regularly move it up. Day 21 Flowering: Howdy Fellow growers. All has been good in the grow this week. The three Flowering ladies have been showing off this week with their flowering prowess. I did a little defoliation early in the week and I think the six shooter needed it more than the others. She is fairly small in comparison to the other 2 and hasn't been half as stretchy. I left her natural due to her size difference whichbi am glad I did now to keep her in the canopy with a chance. Strawberry Pie has been very stretchy and is now a great size for rhe flowering cycle. He runs are stacking up slowly which is a good sign this early that they should form long thick colas instead of spaced out clumps of buds. Mexican Airline is by far the leader for both size and bud stacking. She leads in the 6 plants germinated at rhe same time and I can already see how well she has done . She has a really open, large airy structure which will help as the hips thicken up. No smell yet from them but this is still very early days. These will be the final harvest of a perpetual Auto run that I have done to see if the same amount of time using Photoperiods will achieve the same total yield. I think these ladies will certainly set the bar high in the yield score. Feeding really well about every 3 days and no real signs of any deficiency. Happy days Growmies. be well.
