5/1 6 weeks, 4 days it’s flower tiiiiime! Desperately needing a repot on my autos but am stretched for space. I need a bigger tent!

8 weeks later and these girls are getting smelly! They are also steadily packing on some weight and I'm getting excited! This week the girls look to be in mid flowering stage and they were starting to show some kind of deficiency (maybe should've top dressed last week) well I top dressed last night and whipped up a compost tea for them too so we'll see how they react this week. Other then that a very light defoliation for air flow and tightened up the lst wires. Getting very excited for a taste 😋 Hope you all had a good week and thanks for checking in ✌️

***Sponsored Grow*** = Medic || https://medicgrow.com || Grow = ***Sponsored Grow*** This week has been interesting, I was getting some weird runoff numbers in terms of EC/PPM and PH, so I decided to try and bring the PH up with a flush of high PH water into the medium. I did not have any PH up on hand so I used borax, PH of 9-10 plus it will help kill off any microbes in the soil that I believe is causing the PH swings. After doing this and getting the PH I wanted in the solution I released that the amount of B in the solution was to high and would cause more issues down the road, It was late in the day so I left the next flush to fix the excess B till tomorrow morning. Morning came and when I processed to flush I added in a bit of peroxide to the water and a dash of dish soap to break the waters surface tension so it flows through the pots more easily. This was going fine till it started to not drain out at all. I think it was foaming up in the medium and preventing a normal flow, plus on two of the pots I lost my perlite that sits on the top of the medium. I had to massage the pots "like when you transplant" to make then start draining again and then purchased a Yucca extract to help it flow through. Everything is back to normal. The pots are really root bound and should be transplanted but its mid flower and that's not going to be happening. I also don't know if I'd even have the space for it. I added in a b1 vitamin as well on recommendation of grow shop as apparently their other lineup I purchased did not have any. No idea if its working well only first week in the feeding. The Cytokelp is fun, but the one hormone in it is similar to a PGR but its not a real PGR. I am skeptical of it and not using it as foliar, just root watering. I also added in a bit of CaMg supplement that gave the plants a boost in N and Ca. The mg of this product was lesser then others I have seen about a 5:1 ratio of Ca to Mg. after the big flushes the runoff was hitting 120ppm so I gave it a good feed at 1.8EC Time will tell If i fucked it up royally by doing all this, this ETS plant is still going strong and is the 2nd best plant in the tent, it very well may get 1st some harvest time as I was detecting some strong whiffs of a kushy berry smell coming off it, it was sexy as fuck! All the plants are still stretching but it seems slow to me. Maybe it will continue going but it only put on about 2cm in the last week and a half. Feels slow. I may see more stretching in the next week upcoming and it just had a ruff start. Lights still running at 100% with V1 spectrum, everything seems to be working just fine, no light burn. Well this week has gone a bit pear shaped. I think it is a combination of light stress and the new soil I'm using. Also the soil had fungus gnats. I won't use it again but it was an experiment and I've learnt that soil isn't my substrate of choice! Back to my super coco mix! 😁 I'm going to see if I can pull it through. I've got plants through worse! Wish me luck. I watered twice this week with 1ltr of dechlorinated water PH'd to 6-6.5, containing 1ml of Ecothrive Trace and 1/4 TSP Ecothrive Biosys. I will say that the soil is very difficult for me to judge the moisture level to water accordingly. WEEK 1 FLOWERING Since I will use the 7 weeks AN full nutrients program, one week is only 5 days Keep doing LST and defoliation every day or two I am using 100% RO water and give water every morning with nutrients included 🌱

11/17 Week 8 Man I will be glad when this grow is over, if making mistakes promotes learning well... Im a fricking PHD ... Ok progress on Maggie the yellow is limited to the very top as buds are building in particular those a couple inches from the top. Thinking another root drench is in order, cant hurt and letting her dry a bit as a prep. Looks like tomorrow Layla doing ok she exhibits far fewer problems but the same issue are present she is just a hell of plant along with the Runtz which she shares the tent. Thinking about the feeding tomorrow will decide what to do then. They have plenty of time to finish up, had some issues on germination on the grow following so looks like it may be delayed a week from the scheduled 2 weeks. Maggie may need it. 11/19 Have stumbled onto to something it seems. The further I move the lights out, they are now at twice the "ideal" placement of 14" at 28" and the yellowing is disappearing to a great extent. Problem with this of course is not enough light at bud sites not on the canopy which lets face it is most of your bud. It is absolutely something that makes the plants insanely susceptible to light burn. New one for me but maybe some of yall know so making a question of it. Pics at lights out only and I missed today so new pics later if I get back in time. Update : Defoliated and tightened training on all three to spread things out from the center and open up the light and air paths. Raising the lights is working just wish I knew why as lights are higher than crap with little room for more than a few more inches. Would drop the watts to 450 but need the heat to keep the grow room level as our temps here swing 40 degrees all the time. Something I learned with the help of a carbon filter. If things normalize will begin dropping lights to see what happens. 11/20 Setting the lights at 24" as I am not risking yield any further than that on Layla and the Runtz, Have the canopy as level as it can be with Brandy getting the least light being on a coco coir block (heh) for height, which she is responding well to since I opened up the plant and no longer worried over mold issues in that main bud. Have Layla on a milk crate to bring her into decent light as well as the Runtz. She is just a lovely thing building those white crystalline buds. Maggie has turned into a beast at least I know her root ball is huge from the growth above. Seriously defoliated her removing several small lower branches and leaves blocking light and air paths. Next feed will be continuing what seems to be working, Epsom salt and bloom nuets (no calmag with epsom salt) with a foliar feed after lights out which may well be with calmag. Foliar feeding today at lights out, one quart sprayer with 1ml CaliMagic and 0.5ml wetting agent un-PH warmed to 75 F before spraying (our tap water comes out at @50F so...), just trying to hit hard and effective * New Pics after foliar Update Folks its taken 8 weeks and a final piece of the puzzle provided by Grey_wolf resulted in a near full strength cal-mag foliar feeding and the last def bites the dust. See what happens from here but its the first time I have felt good about this grow since the bad time germing at week one. *big sigh of relief* Have a whole list of things I will never do again in soil more about that at harvest. Right now I need to work on why calcium is blocked at the roots but thats another day right now I just wanna look at em. 😁 11/22 Another foliar feed same as before just diluted 30% and all three got it today JIC Cannot find a pale leaf or top and hairs are standing up on the top buds for once and buds building nice on the lower ares the defs were cleared up first. Going to stop the foliars for a few days see what happens but will resume at first sign of need. Maggie has potential even after all this and we going to help her be all she can :D 11/22 Feeding day - Bio-Bloom 7ml - calmag 4ml - Recharge .5tsp / gal at 6.5PH to all three. No foliar today 11/23 The thickness of the hair growth on Layla is amazing! Will try and get pics at lights out of it if my crappy camera will catch it. Never seen anything like it, once again THIS this is what we intended by growing Stardawg :) Update: Pics and vid hope it comes through well enough as for the green in that tent and the dense hairs on Layla

This week was nice. Really beautiful hues coming through, great structure , no f ups. The smellsAre amazing. I have started the ripener and cut back on nutrients - after heavy calmag week before and full feed. Aim to do this all this week ready for the flush week

The grow ended on day 100 from seed. The latest trichome check showed plenty of amber on the buds, so it was time for her to come down. 784g/27.66oz wet - anticipating perhaps 5-6oz dry - time will tell. Overall this grow has gone pretty smoothly.

This 10gal reservoir has been a game changer!!! If you’ve been wasting/going through your nutrients fast I suggest you get one of these and in the comments add Midnitrtoker from IG sent me. Trying to get sponsored and give one of these systems away!! Like I said i filled up the res with 10gal and it has gone 4weeks!!! Today I empty out what’s left and change the feed to flower. That means we up the EC a tad and let it go. If 10gal lasted up 4 weeks we will be using 5gal this time and hope it lasts us the first 3 weeks of flower. I have not experienced any deficiencies the tips are turning purple but that’s because my night temps drop to the low 70s even to 69F. I took cuts of these girls again. Next round we will be using Floraflex or Athena. Same environment different nutrients we will see which company gives us the biggest harvest. See you all at the end of week 1 Flower.

The 3rd and final girl has been trimmed, weighed and placed into curing jars! She added another 78grams making the total come to 219grams! I'm fairly happy with the result of my first grow! Id like to thank the community here on growdiaries. Without the hours I've spent looking through diaries, getting ideas, and learning, I've found this site invaluable! I hope my fellow growers keep on taking pics and sharing their experiences! Being my first grow and having to deal with manitoba flood humidity during late flower i believe i ended up with a decent harvest sitting in my jars. I really look forward to growing another photo strain in the future and perfecting my results but I think I'll be doing a run of autos first so I'll be back 😎😎 Post cure edit: These frosty buds matured into a dream to smoke. They really kick your ass and leave you breathless in a nice indica daze. Would not recommend for medical use for anyone with lung issues or super old smokers... but if you got some young lungs and wanna get fucked up, some good old OG kush will get it done boy! 77 Days have passed. Heatwave in my country, so im just relaxing and enjoying life. - I hope you do too! Did a heavy defoliation, gonna be making some nutritious fruit smoothies with that. - 2 week ish before i switch to flower. ---1st time growing with FLO - Florian Living Organics.--- They claim that there is no need to pH when watering and that their living fertilizer is the only thing that i will need throughout the whole grow so i only need to mix with soil and just water with plain water. If this stuff works then it can simplify my future grows ALOT! Happy growing. 😎
