Growth in early flower stage looks good. Plenty of bud sites. Nutes and LST, then major defoliation in one week.

Back with a new week, the beginning of week 6 and wow, the girls are really starting to show off their fall colours and frosty colourful buds. EC has been slightly lowered and I have dropped cal-mag to ensure a good flush later on in the grow. PK has been increased and the girls are fattening up. pH has been drifting so trying to keep a close eye on this to enable the correct uptake of essential nutrients at this critical stage. Well unfortunately mistakes were made. I didn't release the lst tie downs over time as she grew. So I end up finding the stress spilt the main stem in half right down middle so I used the ties down ties and tied it together and undid all lst tie downs. Hey hey my fellow growers, I hope everyone had an excellent week! It is great to be back here at the beginning of week six, let’s get into it! Last week I had misspoke- I said I was going to train 5 of the 6 plants I have going from fastbuds, this was false…. What I meant is all 6… Yes at the time I had only INTENDED on messing with 5 but the last one, the way it was structured with the self top, it was practically BEGGING me to get in there and play with it- and I ask you this- who would I be to deny that little strawberry pie the simple pleasure of a little training? So train I did… Nothing crazy, but actually for all six plants (despite my best efforts, best being debatable) to not go overboard- I have been going in a doing a little bit of training and taking a leaf off here and there if it’s blocking any potential bud sites. I am trying to be really careful and not do too much at once and upset any of them- but at the same time, after stunting them a bit with the taproot incident (which I will keep referring to until I learn from that mistake) I want to do what I can to maximize yield after tripping up a bit in the beginning. We will see how it goes, but for now, everything seems to be doing well and responding well to the bit of training I have been doing. Right now I am seeing a range of sizes among the bunch- the forbidden runtz are both shorter and squatier coming in at about 5.5 inches in height each and I notice everything is spaced a bit tighter on these so I have had some difficulty spreading them out but not to any problematic extent, just in comparison with the rest- Next we have the strawberry pie- the smaller one coming in at 5.5inches, is the one that I was speaking about that had topped itself. It seems to be doing well and handling the training just fine. However the other one, that one is much bigger and is about 8.5 inches tall. It wasn’t until I busted out the ruler that I saw that this was the second biggest plant of the fast buds. That leaves the largest which of course was the gorilla cookies! The smaller of the two is coming in at 8 inches and the larger one coming in at 9.5! They are both tied down and doing great, showing growth each day after being trained and having select leaves removed. We are getting closer and closer to flower I hope to have a bit more time with them but that is totally in their hands, so we will see what happens- the game plan now for me at this point is to keep doing what I’ve been doing- trying to balance on a delicate line. As far as other news… I am doing dishes the other day- I have my phone propped up with YouTube on and dude grows playing (my preferred way to do dishes) I hear the dude mention a giveaway they are doing that I had submitted an entry for recently so my ears had perked up…👀 I saw they had the contest page pulled up and on display and I thought to myself, wouldn’t it be cool if I got to see my picture right now, sure enough- I hear them start talking about my pictures! I in no way won (at this point, my fingers are crossed though haha) and I realize that this is debatably anticlimactic however, I listen to these guys everyday at work so I was stoked! I still am! There are lots of good giveaways going on right now, all the amazing contests going on on this site, Instagram wherever! For the past month, the humidifier has been an issue putting out way too much humidity; often leaving water in the bottom of the tent. In addition, the temperatures are also out of control. I added an AC last week to keep the temperature below 80. I finally determined the exhaust vent is also broken and has been for some time. AC Infinity does not extend the warranty to the replacement parts. I guess that makes sense since they would be in a state of perpetual free replacements. I bought a new one from Amazon that came with a new controller which is different from the controller 69 currently using. I decided that while it is very inconvenient and inefficient to monitor the tent through the day, I would rather finish this Frostbanger run without introducing a new unknown variable. I will continue using 3 circulating fans, the 4” exhaust vent from my 3x3. I have the AC pushing air in and the exhaust pulling air out. This creates a neutral pressure tent environment-neither positive nor negative. It looks like growth has stopped and plant height has been reached. Now is the time for buds to fatten and frost up. All 6 of them are short remaining less than 3 ft. They range from 15 to 31 inches. #4, 5 &6 are showing some fade, particularly #4. Upon opening the tent, a melon smell comes off the buds if I get close, and more stickiness was observed during the process of defoliation. They are living up to the new strain’s name. #5 is the frostiest followed by #2. Wow week 3 of flower and that much frost already. Before FastBuds announced the strain name and characteristics, I was disappointed that FBA2502 could be an indica sleepy strain but the universe provides what you need at the time. Week 26: September 20 2020 - September 26 2020 Great week, no issues, no complaints. Buds are getting fatter and the smell is really starting to come off of them. Fertilized for the last time on Friday and will begin flushing with water until harvest. Blue Dream looks like she can come down now but trichomes are still milky with very little amber. Keeping a close eye on her but I think 2-3 weeks more at most before she's chopped. Girl Scout Cookies is an absolute beast! She got some wild colors from the cold snap last week and she looks awesome. I got some dead leaves I could pull, but they all look awesome with the reds, purples and greens. Buds are dense too! The pictures and videos don't do them justice. The fan leaves have long stems so they're hiding the buds, but if you pull them back, each cola is huge and gets bigger almost daily. Trichomes are starting to come in more heavily, and pistils are just starting to turn red. Purple Kush is starting to put on weight and has really shaped up in the last couple weeks. Surprised she's still so green compared to the purple in Girl Scouts, but it could just be the phenotype. She's definitely the furthest back of the two and may stay out a little longer. Overall, I'm extremely impressed and happy with my results this year. Decent weather in the forecast for the month of October. Looks like we're on the road to a pretty sweet harvest.
