This may be the last week for the widow. She is huge..The last week saw her swell and eat most of the leaf on the buds. This week I am feeding her water only. She was flushed through with 2L of water at 6.5 with around 600ml run of which came through at PH 6.53. I will check her trichomes over the weekend once she has drunk some of the water she had. Not much else to say. She is a tough old bastard and she has made me want to test some other white widow genetics. Any recommendations please say. Happy grows🌿🌱. Stay safe😷😷😷

After another weekend spent away from home, on day 26 both Opiums present at 30 cm height, having grown big and bushy. Their thirst increased, I will water them when their next day starts. And do some more LST. Not too long until I can install the scrogging net. I am really impressed by their progress. They developed a lot of branching side branches and look really healthy and bushy. In contrast to what I wrote before, I think I can stay a few days longer with the current 80% 18/6 lighting scheme. Leaf positions do not show signs of light hunger, so no reason to change. Watered them with 1.5 l each on their 27th morning, this time adding some flower fertilisers too. Compensated their relief with some more LST. I can see in timelapse video they are tmelselves compensating this stress easily; it’s amazing to see how fast they turn their heads. You’ll see soon too. For reference: Pot diameter is approx. 25 cm. So lady #1 spreads about this much, lady #2 is even about 10 cm more. Guess they’ll make a very dense scrog surface, but first let’s have them have their stretch. Day 28 evening revealed ladies are getting thirstier. The holey pots might be helpful in root development, but they are not when it comes to keeping the tent clean. Because of their structure, water runs out in respectable quantities each time they are fed, which takes a long time to evaporate and adds to air humidity of course. Which on the other hand is currently quite ok. Outside air temperatures are around 30 °C the last days, so a bit more humidity helps to keep the VPD in range. Which is quite ok as I still cannot complain about their growth – around 2–3 cm each day currently. Grow video for day 28 (sorry about the interferences! Due to the control hard- & software being offline I cannot silence the blower(s) when a photo is taken anymore) shows steady growth and very vivid movements again. Dropping of their leaves around their evening is possibly due to me watering them again as soil was surprisingly dry already. On their day 29 evening, it’s clear to see how much they are stretching: They really gained 5 cm since yesterday! Lights are close to 30 cm, so I think I’ll reposition things a bit when their next week starts. Attached video shows the day’s progress. They say you cannot scrog an Automatic but seeing the development speed and bushiness I decided to give it a try nonetheless. I guess the buds can profit from being a bit more apart from each other if I handle to fiddle them through the holes in time. I rearranged the lights to be at about 45 cm apart from the tops and set the lights to 100% at a 16/8 lighting scheme, waking them up one hour later than before and sending them to sleep one hour earlier. Last day of this week, day 30, shows that growth speed has even increased. Lady 1 crosses the scrog net already which is positioned at 46 cm above soil. Gave them slightly enhanced water again, 2 l each.

Day 76 - I was on holiday all this week so not many daily photos, was able to gather the Energy the day after I come home to give them there proper defoliation at the end of week 3. No complaints or problems as of yet with the strain very easy to grow with little maintenance

As said before, I'm incredibly happy that I got to harvest a little bit. Never expected her to make it, but she kind off did! The smell was pungent and sweet like an amnesia haze should be, hoping that will be even better after drying and curing!

I've increased the feed and light now. I will repot soon . I've pulled the browned leaves from the lower stem and the new growth is slowly turning green . They'll burst into stretch mode once I repot them next week . Hope everyone's grow is going well and the sun is shining on you 🌞

Harvest: Everything dried up to 347 grams + 96 grams of super high quality trim. Overall I am not too pleased with the smoke of the product. Although the bud size, bag appeal, smell and taste are pretty much all there, the shitty burn is a deal breaker for me and the majority of this weed is quite frankly useless. Another downside is while smoking I’ve found 4 seeds in an ounce from almost every strain. Light leaks? At least I learned a ton, including how to get super good burn for my next crop. I’m hoping that curing for a month or so will improve the burn but I wouldn’t really count on it. I have seen weed dried for 4 days with no cure and no flush smoke clean and not go out once. I have been told that the key to white ashes/clean burn is proper mineral content in the soil and there is tons of scientific studies on cigar ash going back 100 years. Plants grown in a medium with high levels of decomposing organic matter, phosphorus, magnesium, chlorine and heavy metal ratio tend to produce black/grey ash. Whereas plants grown in a medium with a higher ratio of trace minerals like calcium carbonate and potassium in the form of wood ash, rock dusts, oyster shell flour and lower levels of decomposing organic matter will produce a dense, uniform white ash that rarely goes out. But this is still all theory until I test it to confirm for myself a few times. My last few outdoor harvests did not improve with curing at all so I’m hoping this will be the missing link. Plain peat moss and coco clearly lack essential minerals that help burn. If said theory is correct I should find a synthetic nutrient line with more trace minerals. Makes me wonder if growing if rockwool/basalt rock could improve burn in a hydro setup. I think I did a fairly decent job for my first grow. I went wrong in a million different places but I still stuck it out and got some decent herb. Things went wrong early when I got black spot mold, nitrogen/magnesium deficiencies and powdery mildew. I corrected most of it but things didn’t get really bad until mid veg when I intentionally skipped a few feedings and defoliated quite heavily stunting the plants. I also didn’t even top or start LST until the 6-9th node which was really stupid and hurt my yield. My temperatures were all over the place from the learning curve. I was severely overwatering without realizing it. 100% peat moss is a shitty medium. I also fed way too late in flower (not what caused shitty burn). I also used synthetic nutrients in soil. Vamos familia que ya actualizamos la cosecha de estas Frosted Guava de Zamnesia. Vaya flores que se han marcado repletas de tricomas, parecen escarcha y las flores se marcan aromas muy tropicales, la verdad que únicos. Es una variedad bastante fácil de cultivar pero al tener un periodo de floración algo más largo, hay que estar pendiente de alimentarlas bien, gracias Agrobeta en mi sala es posible. Temperaturas máximas en 24 y mínimas en 20 y una humedad estable en torno al 36%. Las mantuve 10 semanas pero facilmente si se quedan 11 tampoco estaría mal, yo las vi bien maduras y ya tenía tricomas ambar así que les di matarile. 11/27: harvest day. Well, i have chopped them all down. I trimmed all the bud and put it in seal bags in the freezer. No drying - fresh frozen. Sometime in the next few days i will turn it all into bubble hash. If i had gotten the buds that i wanted I would have dried and cured much of this. But as this is just a typical looking and smelling lemon strain, it all went in the freezer. If not for all of their expectations set by FastBuds, i would likely have loved at least one of the plants. The one labeled PL1 was a monster. It produced over 27oz of trimmed wet bud. The hat is more than the other 3 plants combined. With a total of 53 Oz of trimmed wet bud harvested and frozen. The one that i labeled PL4 was insanely frosty when compared to the other 3 phenos. I have clones of bother PL1 and PL4 that i may consider using for breeding projects where i want a strong lemon. The other two plants were mostly forgettable.
