30.12.24: So I finally became brave enough last night to use LST on my grow for the first time. Watermelon 🍉 is doing much better than the other plants were at this stage, and still better than one that's 7 weeks old already! I'm very pleased with this strain and phenotype so far. As I've implemented the LST much earlier for her, I'm very excited to see what happens in the next couple of weeks 😃 Thanks for checking out my diary 🙂🍃✌️

Jegliche Tortur, sei es vom Umtopfen, oder vom Training, steckt sie sehr gut weg, was sich durch schnellen Wuchs und keinerlei Mangel- oder Stressanzeichen widerspiegelt. Noch eine weitere Erholungsphase vor dem finalen Zurechtschneiden- und biegen vor der Blüte...

4 days after repotting the plants have started to take in nutrients. The Fan leaves are looking healthy and the roots are starting show at the bottom of the pots. I’m hoping to keep them in these pots for another 10 days. The Alienz seedling is approximately 2 weeks behind the other two, it seems to be following the same growth as the others so I’ll probably repot it in a few days. At the moment it’s a little overwatered

I have gently switched to mostly organic nutrients, with the addition of very gentle flower stimulants that are only slightly or partially mineral. In general: OG Eddy Lepp Auto 💚🌺💚🌺 - Original Sensible Seeds really belong to the highest quality breeders and this is visible in their genetics. OG Eddy Lepp Auto is an amazing genetics, a stable strain that behaves naturally and responds very well to both nutrients 👍💪 and the transition to other nutrients. I tried to do this change very carefully and most importantly, I switched to very high quality organic nutrients, or organic for the most part 💩- from Plagron, Jungle Indabox and Biobizz. The girl grew very tall, it is a 50/50 hybrid, but it looks like she has leaned towards the sativa side - it is a tall slender plant with long leaves 🍃🍃 It is full of white pistils that form white pompoms all over the plant 💚🏵️🌱 Training: At this stage, the plants do not need much training. I just cut off a few leaves and gently and slightly pulled it down the middle with white tape so that it wouldn't shade either myself or the other sisters in the tent 💚🌞🌿🌞 Light: Mars Hydro TS1000 The plants respond effectively and the light is technically very well managed - I try to have 50 cm between the light and the plants, so I move it up regularly 💡💡💡 Thanks for the likes See you soon 😍😍

🌱 Grow Report — Week 9 (Week 5 Flower) Photoperiods | 12/12 from Seed vs 2 Weeks Veg After weeks of growth, adjustments, patience, and a few ups and downs… we’ve arrived at one of the most exciting stages of the cycle. This is where everything starts to come together. ⸻ 🔬 Quick Recap (for anyone joining now) We’re running the same genetics in two different approaches: • 🌱 Plant A — 12/12 from seed (no veg) • 🌱 Plant B — 2 weeks veg before 12/12 Current environment: • 🌡️ 28°C • 💧 60–65% RH • ⚡ EC 2.4 • pH 6.5 • 🌬️ CO₂ ~1000 ppm • 💧 Water intake: ~1.5–2L/day Both plants are healthy, vigorous, and pushing hard — but expressing themselves very differently. ⸻ 🌿 What’s Happening This Week This is true flower acceleration. You can see it clearly: • Bud sites stacking • Internodal spacing defining structure • Pistils exploding • Trichomes beginning to coat everything The plant is now shifting energy from: 👉 vertical growth → flower production + resin output ⸻ ✨ Trichomes — The Frost Begins Those macro shots… beautiful. What you’re seeing: • Early capitate-stalked trichomes forming • Resin heads still mostly clear • Rapid increase in density on sugar leaves and calyxes Why do trichomes exist? They’re not just “frost”: • 🛡️ Protection against UV • 🐛 Defense against pests • 💧 Moisture regulation • Chemical factory (terpenes + cannabinoids) What does this level of production mean? 👉 Strong genetic expression 👉 Good environmental balance 👉 High potential for quality resin later on Right now = foundation stage Later = bulking + ripening ⸻ 🌸 Pistils (White Hairs) — What They Tell Us Those white hairs everywhere = pistils. They are: • The female reproductive organs • Designed to catch pollen (which we don’t want here) What they indicate: • Plant is in active flower development • Bud sites are still building structure • No maturity yet — still early/mid stage When they: • Turn orange/brown → maturity approaching • Recede → calyx swelling begins Right now? 👉 Peak formation phase ⸻ 🌱 Bud Formation & Structure You said it perfectly: 👉 “Golf balls forming” That’s exactly it. What we’re seeing: • Tight clusters starting • Defined spacing between bud sites • Structure that will determine final yield Key observation: • The spacing is clean and organized • Light penetration is doing its job • No overcrowding → better airflow + resin potential ⸻ 🌿 Color & Health That lush green? 👉 Perfect. It was a great grow from June 29th to being harvested October 10th I got 25 ounces dry

This week you could see the bud sites starting to really show :) Did some heavy defoliation but again you can't tell by the pictures Pheno #1 and #2 were growing so tall and were stretching every day it was hard to get the lights any higher. Soon they won't be able to go any higher. Feeding schedule stayed constant for most of the grow. See previous weeks

Wintergrow – kleines Update ❄️🌱 Gestern stand im Zelt tatsächlich mal ein ruhiger Tag an – nichts geschnitten, nichts gebogen, einfach nur beobachten. Der Stretch scheint jetzt so gut wie durch zu sein. Die meisten Pflanzen haben ihre Höhe erreicht und konzentrieren sich jetzt immer mehr auf die Blütenbildung. Man sieht langsam, wie sich überall kleine Budsites entwickeln. Besonders freut mich das ehemalige Sorgenkind im hinteren Bereich. Die hat sich deutlich gefangen und sieht inzwischen wieder deutlich vitaler aus. Mal schauen, wie sie sich in den nächsten Tagen weiter entwickelt – aktuell sieht es auf jeden Fall vielversprechend aus. Die hinteren Pflanzen könnten eventuell noch minimal nachstretchen, aber ich denke, der Großteil des Wachstums ist jetzt abgeschlossen. Jetzt geht es langsam in die Phase, in der die Buds anfangen richtig aufzubauen. Heute wird wieder kurz nach dem Rechten gesehen und dann schauen wir, wie sich das Ganze weiter entwickelt.
