Flowering Week 23: The Great Defoliation & Purple Hints Update: 17.08.2025 | Day 163 Hey Growmies, Week 23 was all about the snip-snip – gave both ladies a serious haircut and opened up them tight spaces. Airflow’s king now, and these girls are breathing easy. Here’s the wrap: Durban Poison – Cleaned & Gleaming After that defoliation, she’s standing tall like a proper little tree – clean stems, no clutter, just good light and air all through her core. The buds are frosting up with pistils that’s turning a soft, shy purple. Real pretty. Smell’s picking up too – still subtle, kinda old-school. Not like these new genetic gas-monsters. If I had to call it something? Flowery. Earthy-flowery. Simple. Honest. Blueberry – Tall, Late & Mysterious This girl’s still reaching – almost 2.20m now, though only three mains broke the 2m mark. Rest is hanging around 1.80m. Buds are forming slooow, pistils are shy. She’s blooming on her own damn schedule – way behind Durban. Started sexing at the same time, but now it’s like Durban’s sprinting and Blueberry’s strolling. Starting to sweat a little… if she’s too late, mold might sneak in when the autumn damp hits. Just checking the trichome heads daily to harvest them at the for me perfect moment.

Recovering very well, noticeable growth daily. Topped, Lst, and pruned over the last week. Adjusted light height and spectrum to encourage more lateral growth. Hope I didn’t overdo it. The og kush(right) growing a little slow, strawberry gorilla(left) is an autoflower and its leaves are looking a little funky.

November 3 - Welcome to the beginning of week 3! All of them are looking quite different, but that’s expected LOL Plant C is missing an entire leaf/branch! I’m curious what it’s going to do for the overall yield… we will just have to wait to see!

Girls feel fine

Ich habe erneut ein paar Bananen entfernen müssen. Ich hoffe das ich nicht allzuviele Samen im Endprodukt haben werden. Gegossen wird weiterhin nur mit Wasser. Der Herbst hält nun deutlich Einzug, ich denke innerhalb der nächsten 2-3 Wochen wird geerntet.

Day 105 - She's not far off now, next few days I'm guessing. I'm gonna need help trimming this up. Any volunteers? 😂 Update: I will revise the harvest. Upon much closer inspection most of the trichomes are clear. So she's going on for a while. @commandercannabis suggested I put lights on her 😂

She been topped a couple days ago. Man I'm so excited about all the new strains, especially this one sounds crazy don't you think? I'm only feeding water still💦😎👊😋

Midnight is a seriously beautiful cultivar and unlike many other purple strains I’ve seen, grown and smoked, this one’s terps are actually rather impressive. Her aroma is a pungent mix of berries, citrus and gas. I love it. She certainly isn’t the fastest auto. We’re at day 77 since sprout and it’s clear she still needs another 2-2.5 weeks. I expect her to be ready for harvest somewhere in the 90-95 day range.

Endspurt ... Habe soeben einige große Teile entfernt, da diese mit Budrott versehen waren. Im Nachhinein war es wahrscheinlich eine schlechte Idee, den Bananen Zwitter zu behalten ^^ ich habe den Mädels für die letzten Wochen ein 80x80 Zelt gegönnt, um noch etwas rauszuholen. Letzte Woche gabs Wasser mit Alfa Boost, ab jetzt gibt's nur noch PH reguliertes Wasser. In 1 - 1,5 Wochen wird geerntet

Day 50 - The entire tent is now filled up. Humidity is slightly higher than ideal but she looks happy. Moved the fan a bit higher to get more top canopy air circulation. Day 51 - Keep on growin' Day 52 - Pot was pretty light and dried out this morning after a couple of windy warm days in my area. Watered the usual 2L with run off of 170ml (9%). After gaining 3.5cm per day over the last 3 days, she was getting a bit too close to the light. - I moved the light up with 13cm today to be 30cm above the top most flower. Day 53 - Run off today was only 150ml(7.5%). I did some bottom defoliation removing small flower branches and leaves coming to the end of life. This cleared up some of the bottom for better watering access and definitely better airflow. Day 54 - Humidity in my area has dropped a bit leaving the room around 47% and inside the tent around 52%. Still a bit high but with her being so big in the 2x2 I pretty much have to keep the tent open at all times. Installed a second fan today to increase ventilation and try lower humidity. I've got one blowing over the top canopy and one circles around off the walls. Day 55 - Had both fans running overnight, seems to have gone ok. I have each fan pointed at a wall now this seems to make for the best all over ventilation without too much direct blow on the plant. Day 56 - That's the end of Week 7! The flower stretch this week has been pretty crazy. After raising the light she's exploded in height. Run off was 120ml (6%) today - this might be because of the double fans drying her out a bit more but also her size of course needing more water.

Another easy strain to grow. She stretches like crazy during flowering so LST is a must for indoor growing. She grew very fat and way more dense buds than Big Bud Auto I am very pleased with the yeild with over 120 g's on the scale. Between both strains I yeilding a little over 8.5 oskies, roughly 2+ oz per plant give or take. This particular strains is one of my favorites!
