Week 1 flowering is just over for our melonade Runtz from Dutch Passion The stretching is amazing, they really doubled the size or even tripled the size. We are adding some bloom nutrients now and lets see the buds starting to appear the next weeks.

Starting the week defoliating the babies, hopefully, they'll get more light penetration and recover in the pre-flowering phase, I think two more weeks until flowering stage.

So here’s Week 2 of the Sweet Seeds Gorilla Girl XL Auto’s grow. All in all an easy week but there has been time spent reinforcing a couple of the seedlings because they are so top heavy. I check in on my seedlings at least once a day (oftentimes 2-3 times daily) just to make sure that all equipment is functioning well and temps are stable. Upon looking into the windows of the tent I discovered that the smallest seedling (the one that lost one of it’s cotyledon leaves) was tipped right over. I gently supported her with a homemade splint (a tent peg/pipe cleaner combo- pictured above) and she’s currently standing on her own again. She’s still smaller than the others but surviving, not thriving for now. I used some fresh additional soil to fill in any gaps and pack down around the bases of the other three plants’ stems. Speaking of stems/stalks- the three healthy seedlings have peeling/stretching stalks and are starting to push out their first sets of branches. Other than that, same routine as always- watering every fourth day at 1.4 litres per watering or 0.35 of a litre per plant per day. I will be increasing the water sometime over week three. That’s it for now. Mom’s Tip for Week #2- Don’t Over Water! (when growing in soil of course)… When learning to read your plant’s needs, water is a very important factor to consider. I often notice other growers with tiny seedlings sitting in completely saturated pots of soil. Or read that many other growers don’t believe in placing newly sprouted seedlings into their final containers/pots. Both issues being easily resolved by simply paying close attention to your plant’s body language, it’s grow environment and sticking to a schedule. Cannabis truly thrives and benefits from a wet to almost fully dry watering cycle. From my own personal experience with photosensitive strains grown outside in the summer to growing autoflowers indoors through the fall, winter and spring- all of my Cannabis seems to do best when watered every 4th day like clockwork! This schedule is somewhat subjective of course depending on the environment that you are growing in. Here in Canada, much of our year is cool to cold and the humidity is relatively low. Because of this my plants are not always able to take in moisture from the air through their stomas so they suck up more water from what’s readily available in their pots. In other environments (ex. tropical), you may be able to stretch out this cycle- watering every 5-7 days because your plants are pulling so much water directly from the humidity in the air. And how you water your plants matters too. When starting out with newly sprouted seedlings placed into their final containers- less is more. There is no need to completely soak all of the soil in a 5-7 gallon pot. Simply start with a small amount (0.5-1 litre) directing the water to the base of the plant, working your way outwards in a circular pattern. As you increase the amount of water, I try to work my water outwards- making my circle slightly bigger each time I water until eventually I am soaking the soil surface all the way out to the edges of the pot. This process is gradual, stretched over a period of 4-6 weeks. It will encourage the roots to reach for water and allow your plants the time needed to grow into a heavy dose of H2O. Finally, learning to read your plant’s body language will help you to understand when they need and don’t need water as well as food, more/less light, temperature changes, etc. Healthy, well watered plants are generally light green with leaves slightly turned up towards the light/sun. They will be growing/thickening every day and able to support their own weight even in a very breezy environment. Leaves are soft and supple, not dry and brittle and there are usually no marks or discolouration of any kind on the foliage throughout your grow. Water quality is important too but that’s any entirely different tutorial for another time. Bountiful harvests are very possible by simply tweaking your watering schedule to suit your plants’ ultimate needs.

Week 8 is complete for the gorilla gas. All 3 plants are finishing up and have started their flushing phase with the advanced nutrients flawless finish. Each plant has its own characteristics and aromas which is pretty neat. I should have a nice size harvest of this strain. The skunk and piney smell isn't my favorite aroma but it is pungent that's for sure. If your looking to grow a plant that's inconspicuous then this isn't the one for you. Very easy to grow plant overall just think it could have used a little more nutrients during the flower stage but that's what learnings all about. Happy with the grow overall. Thanks for following!!

It has been another amazing week of the plants growing. I have been watching as the Fruity Freak leaves become progressively more fern-like, and ornamental as a result! Based on my Banizzle grows, I knew I needed to understand plant nutrients in a more meaningful way if I wanted these plants to thrive. So, I decided to get a soil test (see Ref. 1 below on how to perform a test) to understand what nutrients my plants needed. The report I received advised that I needed to add 200 lbs/acre of nitrogen, 150 lbs/acre of phosphorus, and 190 lbs/acre of potassium (see picture labeled Pic.1 (FYI you can't see these images unless you login to growdiaries)). I then researched what to do with my results (Ref. 2 helped), and I figured out that my nutrient needs of 200-150-190 fall close to a 2-1-2 ratio. I then looked at different types of organic fertilizers (see Ref. 3 and Ref. 4) and considered that I already had a 3-10-5 fertilizer (Vermibloom) on hand. I discovered Dr Earth’s Alfalfa Meal is 2-1-2 and includes beneficial bacteria and mycorrhizae (to promote healthy plant growth and disease resistance). However, I knew I would be low on nitrogen if I only used those two fertilizers. Therefore, I decided to buy some blood meal (12-0-0). I also liked that blood meal is more fast acting while the other two are more moderate. I hunted around for a solid fertilizer calculator and found an amazing tool from the University of Georgia Extension (Ref. 5). I entered all three fertilizers into the calculator, and it kicked out the exact amount of each fertilizer I needed to apply to 1 square foot (see Pic. 2). As I am using 10-gallon fabric pots (that can hold 1.5 cubic feet, but I put stone on the bottom and there’s space left at the top) I decided to use the one square foot application rate as I can always add more later, but I can’t take it away. Not only did I want to understand the nutrients I needed, but I also wanted to understand the structure of the soil (as it was not included in my test results). North Dakota State University has a nice page that discusses this (Ref. 6), and I performed a soil ribbon test (see Video 1) based on this information. I determined my soil to be medium textured (which is great), but I have seen occasional water pooling on the surface, suggesting that it may be more of a medium-fine. This means adding peat moss, coco coir, or other amendments might improve drainage (and plant hydration) and allow for roots to grow more easily. In the long run, I plan to use compost to enhance the soil structure and nutrients. I filled the bottom of my 10-gallon fabric pots with a ½” of pea stone to allow for drainage (Pic. 3). I then partially filled two 5-gallon buckets with topsoil from near where I will plant (but not in an area the roots will reach). I used a digital scale to measure the amount of fertilizers recommended by the calculator (Pic. 4, 5, and 6) and added it to one of the 5-gallon buckets (see Pic. 7). I mixed the fertilizers into the soil as evenly as possible (Pic. 8 and 9). I then poured a two-inch layer of non-fertilized soil, then peat moss, and then fertilized soil (in a roughly 2:1:1 ratio) and blended them together. I repeated this until the pot was full (getting additional soil as needed), and then I repeated the process for the other three pots. I set the filled fabric pots in my garage (Pic. 10) for two days to allow any upset bugs to flee into my garage instead of my house. I then moved the pots (wrapping them in a contractor garbage bag to prevent making a mess) into the room with the grow light. I placed a board on top of the fabric pots to insulate the plants (in their smaller pots) from the cold soil (Pic. 11). Once the soil in the fabric pots reaches room temperature, I will transplant. I didn’t have a field to test, so I took four samples from the area where I will eventually plant outdoors and blended them together. 📆 Week 6, 26 May - 1 June 2024 26-31 May - Observed and let the plant grow. 1 Jun - Did a light defoliation of plant (see picture) to allow light to reach all bud sites. 📑 This is her first week of true flower and she is still stretching some. Her size has doubled and as is now into more intense lighting, the canopy coverage reads at 40 DLI. It looks like the light power will need to only stay at 50% in this small tent. The new light is proving itself well so far, more light without added heat, no complaints - except for the dimmer switch. A true consumer marketing mistake by ViparSpectra. 🍶 28 May nutrient solution changed 🍽️ 28 May feeding schedule updated 💧 Using reverse osmosis water with EC/TDS at 0 🐉 Nutrient solution EC 2.6 at 70 degrees F 🔆 Light power at 50%, DLI 40 canopy coverage at 18hrs 😤 Using PYPABL, Air Pump, 400GPH That is it for this week. 14.09.21.Банане 2 недели, развитие сумасшедшее. Опрыскиваю по листу на ночь динамиксом.русские производители обещают эффект мегафола, а он мне понравился. Так как цена демократичная, я решил попробовать этого производителя. Также купил стимулятор для корней, аналог радифарм. Ок. Девчонке нравится. Лист выглядит здоровым, сочныма корневая мне не видна😁, но вершки хороши, значит и корешки в норме. Пересадили в 16 л airpot в 12 дней. Полет продолжается. Буду добавлять мысли в течение недели. Всем растафарай! 15.09.21 сегодня начались тренировки у девчонки. К lst я отношусь всегда творчески и с азартом. Каждое растение как и человек - уникально, тренировки интересны возможностью применять весь потенциал своей фантазии на 100%. За это растения благодарят нас большими урожаями и эстетической красотой. 17.09.21 Банана растёт и пухнет. Дал корневой стимулятор рутфарм. 2мл/л. Со вчерашнего дня у нас похолодание до +10 днем и +3 ночью, поэтому решено было включить днат 400, так как мой бокс расположен на балконе. Ещё немного подогнул ствол и убрал листья от боковых побегов. Полет продолжается, спасибо за ваше внимание, гровер!)) 19.09.21. Немного растянуд девчонку сегодня днем, растёт не плохо, но видно, что после пересадки переключилась на корни. Поливаю через день, полет продолжается! I mean where do I even start this is such a beautiful plant and everyday this thing gets bigger I mean how could you not love that! Fed B1 B2 Floraflex Only Ec-2.6 Ph-6.2 No Cal-Mag

Yeah I have already written a review about it in my previous diary. It is really strong not a day time smoke... It makes you really high. The plant is very very stinky when you cut so close all the doors and windows!!!!!! Last 2 pictures in the jar was aken after 4 days of the harvest. The harvest day it was 171g and after 4 days 80g. It needs to be cured. After 6 days its weight 51g. The last 6 pictures show the flower after 3 weeks of curing. The best thing in this smoke that it doesn't have that strong smell at all almost nothing but the effect is in :) All the plants grow at least 40-50 cm but it can grow over 100cm as well if you let it. 4 weeks later : I decided to make some cannabutter. Update: Fucking hell I have never tried brownie or tea like this and also I have never been so high. I put one tsp into my tea and felt nothing so decided to repeat with 3 tsp. I went to take a nap and when I woke up I couldn't see I was so fucking high for several hours. Uhhh was great tho.😂✌️✌️ Last 10 pictures: This is what left after almost 3 months of harvest I smoked and cooked it.

Thanks to growdiaries I followed the entire growing stages of the plant seeing all the little details usually not seen. Sincerly I expected more than 30g with the nutriens and light utilised anyway it is a good result.

it's amazing, this growth looks much better than my first attempt, my decision was to put a smaller pot and change the light - the girl really liked it, FastBuds goriilla cookies with a small space manage perfectly:).

This week I couldn't go and watch the grow because I was out of town. The day before leaving I defoliated and transplanted. When I returned I found the girls in great shape. I am really in love with these 15 plants 😍

Hello my friends growers, Week was good, Buds look stoped to grow up, so i'll start pk 13-14 next week, I've start to give tera flores and sugar royal this week. Plant look healthy and buds look nice with lot of pollen, it will be probably a sticky weed :). Have a good week mate growers, see you next week 😘

Plants began showing pre-flowers this week, officially the start of flowering.

Ich hab keine Ahnung was es wiegt , da ich keine Zugwage hatte. Ich hoffe die Bilder geben ungefähr wieder was es wohl werden wird . Eigentlich hab ich nur gegossen und gedüngt, den Rest hat der Zwerg selber gemacht. Hätte nie gedacht soviel aus dem Zwerg zu bekommen. Update : hochgerechnet waren es 550g nass. Getrocknet : 99g mit Popkorn Buds aber weitgehenst von Stängeln befreit bzw jede knospe einzelnt abgeschnitten, ausser bei den TopBuds .
