They are coming along and they seem to be enjoying my new light!! I will be chopping my main girl (gelato auto) to make better conditions (proper veg conditions) for these two ladies in their tent. The older gal - Thelma showed some burn on her tips which I assume is due to the FFOF soil I'm using which runs a bit hot. Interesting to see certain strains react to the soil vs others. Maybe this seed was just a less desirable phenotype, i would try again but definitely not as a mother. I wonder if pulling all those clones stressed them out from the start. Maybe I'll do a redo in the future. All in all some beautiful colors.

Another week and the tent is bursting with a very sweet candy citrus aroma, then bam your hand hit a nug and it's like the cotton candy mod stepped in. I've stop using silica now since I'm two week out from harvesting.

Got the girls in some bigger pots, avoided waiting a few extra days of transplant shock with some mycorrhiza. They seems to be way happier now! What a beautiful strain Orange Hill Special is, nice and bushy, great internodal spacing, sturdy and healthy. Happier and happier with how this grow is going. The less beautiful parts on top are my doing, my blind as a bat FIM destroyed half the top of the plant. More patience next time... The super soil is still performing great and I´m pushing up the dimmer to get the ladies used to more light, very carefully because leaves are folding every time. Some of you might be happy to find my European recipe/shopping list for super soil. I tried to make it with widely offered products throughout Europe. Feel free to use it and elaborate on it. If one product is not available in your country, please check the brands at the bottom, which might be available in your country, and substitute. The only thing one could add to the recipe (which I did but forgot in the shopping list) is some Epsom salt. Fed them again with my permaculture tea, all seem to flourish and smells are starting to come from the plant, with that same distinct dankiness I had in earlier grows with this tea. See the germination page and other diaries for more info on my Perma tea. Now they were big enough, some might even say too big, to start the real training. I always love to give them a little bend the week before, to get used to the idea. With some sterilized bamboo sticks I pushed the plants down to expose their sexy undersides. I'm going away for 30 days about a week into this grow. I'm going to automate weeks 1 through 5 by using the Blumat watering system along with the automated fan from AC Infinity. Hopefully, these will keep things going while I'm gone. I've never used the Blumat products before and I'm excited to see their potential. If I succeed, I'll return to happy 5-week old plants. If not, I'll have to start a new grow...which is what I was going to do anyway. I have nothing to lose but a couple of seeds. Let's get this automated grow started. Day 1 - I placed the seeds directly in a fist-sized clump of Coast of Maine Seed Starter soil that was then placed in a 3-gallon pot full of Coast of Maine Stonington Blend. This will ensure the seedling doesn't get exposed to the nutrient-rich soil too soon. I set the light 2 feet above the top of the pots so they have room to grow into the 18" to 12" range. I also set the light strength to 60% during germination. The temperature in the tent remained 75 degrees and humidity was 70%. I also covered the soil over the germinating seeds with mason jars to act as humidity domes. Day 4 - Both pots sprouted this morning. I immediately removed the mason jar humidity domes. I also increased the light to 70% strength and installed the Blumat watering system to help me keep things growing while I'm gone.

Have been adding microbe tea once or twice a week to keep the soil's microbeasties alive thriving. Growth has been picking up with the warmer weather but I've had to water a lot more to keep up. Added neem meal and kelp meal as a topdress.

Lol this plant says it all I think...my only regret is I never cloned.Never seen anything like it,unique strain.In fact it's unique in so many ways.Cant wait,although this looks like a 10/11 week flowering to me.

Week 7 of flower, it seems that they are nearly done. Maybe 14 more days till harvest. The smell is now rich and dense, opening the tent means filling the whole room with terpenes.
