What a world of difference a week can make when growing auto-flowers. I did a lot of maintenance on these girls the last couple of days. See pics and videos. Two of the plants have stretched out nicely. The other three are falling behind, but looking very nice. There is a strong citrus smell happening right now. Smells like I have a tent full of fresh lemons. Started using Big Bud and Bud Candy this past week. Tent 2as getting quite crowded, so I also moved the water reservoir on the outside of the tent. It was very hard to cut a lot of those beautiful buds off the plants, but I think it will pay off. I also got the new Vivosun Grow Cams, so far I like them, but I do have some feed back.

This is the 8th week. Thursday will be 9 weeks of 12/12. Some trichs are amber. They just added a good bunch of girth over the past few days, but most of the pistils are red now. The rest of them have been dropping leaves consistenly but the canopy remains full so they must be putting out more leaves. I just flushed to 80% runoff and found out that I had 1200ppm. I just got an ec meter but my last reading said closer to 600 so idk what happened there. I flushed until I had runoff ppm of about 150. Now they're back in the grow tent. I don't want to keep assaulting them with my microscope. I think they're ready. Just gonna let them settle another day or two to dry out a bit. I took one small branch off the small Wedding Cake plant on Thursday and I've just been watching it dry on my counter. It's been 5 days and the stem snaps but still leaves a fiber connecting. I put it into a small jar with a 64RH thing. I just want to try it. It already smells amazing. The leaves on the big CBD Blue Shark plant are going really yellow and some other colours are starting to come out as well. The buds all fattened up and got more frosty again. I was worried they were foxtailing but they got more calyxes underneath the peaks and have been making more of a pyramid shape. They're really close to peak. Harvest day will be March 17 or 18. March 17 1023pm chopped and hung after lights off all day. RH was 65% before I chopped and 50% after I closed the window and cut the plants off the saturated pots. I did a wet trim to prevent mold. The buds are sticky af. Gonna hang them to dry for 7-9 days before curing in jars :) March 18 : checked the RH when I woke up and it's chilling at 45% 😎 March 19 : just checked to see how they were drying. There are seeds in every plant. RIP I'll update when I put them in jars and again a few weeks later for final review. Overall it was a good grow despite the rocky start and a good introduction to the mainline technique and my new grow space. Next grow I should have everything pretty well dialed in. March 23 They were hanging for 3 days. Rh was around 45, then spiked to 65 overnight when I forgot to turn the fans back on. Temp was high at around 26.they felt wet after 2 days, and bone dry after 4 days. The stems still didn't snap but I put them in jars anyway. A day later, jar RH was 50%. I burped all the jars and there was a smell from the new jars. I took all the weed out, washed out the jars, and did a dry trim on the weed. One of the Wedding Cake plants must have gone hermie. I didn't see any bananas and didn't even realize there were seeds until the very end. The seed pods looked just like calyxes while the plants were growing. Many of the nugs are unusable. Under the sugar leaves are just layers and layers of seeds. Some weren't hit that badly. The CBD Blue Shark is much better off but still has some seeds. I'm trying to stay positive. It's a bit of a shock though. I'm anxious to try the finished product. If the flowers at least taste good and have a good effect, all is not lost.

Going into the last week of feeding and the girls are looking great! A couple of the plants have a little nute burn on some of the leaves from being pushed a little too hard. Other than that everything else is looking green and healthy. The girls are stinking up the place with an earthy, floral, funky, gorilla glue smell. Almost ready to start their 2 week flush. Week 3 update and all systems go for launch. We’re flipping to flower exactly 21 days from seed and so far, the mix looks to be impressive. Counting about 4 males (one that won’t make the cut), 2 indica leaning phenos and the rest are sativa leaning. Side branching has also been impressive so we should be able to pull some rootable cuts within the next week or two. If we got the sexes right (it is a little early to be certain), then the dutchy cabinet will be full up for bud testing👍. Next week will tell the tale🤟. Background This project has been a year in strain selection (and another year in the actual making) to get to this point with a viable potential cross. It’ll be a true polyhybrid with a mix of sativa and indica leaning properties for each. We’ve combined an especially powerful hybrid sativa strain of Strawberry with an equally manageable and hard hitting strain of indica dominant Skywalker OG. The hope has always been to combine them and boil out the best characteristics of each. The strawberry is phenomenal in terms of terp profile and a mix of strong head and body effects while the Skywalker is a mind bending, body butter kind of indica with that earthy Kush profile and flowery undertones. The strawberry is prone to botrytis and fasciation but features excellent terps and yields if grown correctly. She’s Also stretchy and somewhat unruly when she gets going. The Skywalker is a contrast in growth characteristics with a squat structure, medium sized buds and excellent resilience and resistance. The plan is to seed out the available females and take cuts of what we can post-stretch to get a closer look at any differing phenos. Still very much early stages for a stabilized new strain but we’ve got the right foundation of solid genetics. Now we just gotta get it off the ground to the next generation👍. We’re predominantly focused on the plants that demonstrate that hybrid vigour and wasting no time with any problem plants or runts. This girl is moving along. Thinking she will start to ripen up in the next couple weeks. I switched my photos to 12/12 today so she will be getting the same light. Watering her twice a day about a cup each time. The aroma still bursts like fresh lemons. Excited to taste this girl and even more excited to run one of these on a proper grow in a dutch bucket next round.

Day 63 : These girls are continuing their quest for glory and still popping pistils. #1 In her organic soil looks the most potent up close and her main stem is so fat now. I tried to reposition it a little and lost the battle as it could arm wrestle a Gorilla !!. I amended her pot today with some charge(200ml/10L) in her water along with the other LOS girls and a top dress with "life cycle" (30ml) . I think another week at least for her so she could use the boosts. #2 Is also looking potent and smells amazing like her sister up close. she is a very thirsty girl and uses all her nutes within a day to a lighter pot slightly every feed. She has been fed with just the shogun sumo boost (20ml) , dragon force (40ml) to 10L water to compare with her MC fed sister. her height is held down with lst but if I grew this strain again , I would not train it flat but manage it as natural as possible. #3 is the reason I say this. As she had looked a little different in size and colour , I allowed her to grow untrained. She is still completely different to the others but from talking to a member here , there are about 9 different ones. wow. She smells identical but her buds look so different to her sisters from different Misters. She is being fed with Mc (10g) , sumo boost (10ml), pk warrior (6ml) , calmag(10ml) and silica (10ml) to 10L water. She is loving life and packing her weight on now. i think she may finish a bit after her step-sisters but I expect a few more weeks possibly. Keep it green Growmies

Back from vacation and plants did not have any issues. Starting to smell fantastic and flowers are starting to bulk. The one free cheese seed I have just started flower and is really starting to stretch. I’m starting to get impatient, but still got about 3-4 weeks left.

Small pot Do-si-Dos got chopped today (March 2) the buds are super frosty and sticky, but they are small and not very dense. Not much else to say, will update in 6-7 days with dry weight and smoke report.

Hey now, hope everyone is doing well, I had one out of two Fastbuds Strawberry Bananas pop and she is currently in Pro-Mix seedling starter/perlite but will be transferred to Coco Coir/Perlite as soon as her roots fill up the solo cup. I will transplant her probably in a week or so, she seems to be starting slow even though she's in a perfect environment. I have seen this before, and some of the ladies I was ready to give up on became massive producers, so I'll see what happens with this one. I have gotten some great yields and flower quality from Fastbuds strains, but I have not had the greatest germination success rate compared to other breeders. I started prepping some coco for this grow by flushing it down to .4 EC and I currently have it soaking in buckets of water with an EC of 2.0 from Cal Mag. This will help prevent cal mag deficiencies in the plants. I will transplant her to her final home in a week or so which will be a 5.4 Gallon Airpot. Once in her final home she will get fed 4x per day, and the runoff will go to my tomatoe plants outside which will also be in coir. I am very excited to crank this Medic Grow LED up and especially add that UV/IR spectrucm to the flowers and see what effect that has on the final THC and terpene production. I am currently running the Spectrum X at 30% which is about 230 watts in the F1 spectrum which is the blue/veg spectrum. I will be adding more seedlings to the tent here shortly to try and fill her up, but I started with the longest expected grow times of Glueberry OG and Strawberry Banana, and next week I will add a Gorilla Girl from Sweet Seeds and a Purple Punch from Barney's Farm with the hope that they will all be ready for harvest within a week or two of each other.
