Ginger Nut Cookies & Aussie Music Videos Week 16 Harvest 17 th April 2020 This Entire feminised seed making and growing project was a very good learning experience for me. Right from the very start, when I successfully got a Cutting ,taken from a Barneys Farm Red diesel female plant to produce feminised pollen after treating it with a silver thiosulfate solution. I then used it to pollinate a Fastbuds Girl scout cookies auto plant and let it grow to maturity. This only produced 3 viable seeds one of which is the subject of this Diary. I made up the name "Ginger nut cookies" after a variety of cookies we have here in Australia that are made with ginger. They are the same colour as the distinct red hairs on the red diesel buds. And would you believe those same vivid red hairs were passed on to this plant so I wasn't too far off the mark with the strain name. Her flavour however is nothing like red diesel or girl scout cookies and infact as taken on a smell and aroma all of it's own. She has a lovely tropical fruit like taste and the smell is a bit like fruit yoghurt. It has an unreal after taste on the exhale and the lingering second hand smoke smells very sweet and enticing. She has a pretty well balanced high too not as potent as the GSC nor as energenic as the red diesel but just a pleasant mix of the two. It was a very easy to grow and undemanding plant that didn't seem to require a lot of extra feeding other than the 100% organic nutrients that were within the soil and a few things like compost teas etc. The other element of this diary was of course the weekly Aussie music videos That I provided the links for and put up a little video clip preview of each Artists song. Fifth week of flower and it was time to defoliate the indoor units as they were starting to get bushy and block exposure to the lower bud sites. Quick work with the bonsai shears and they were ready to soak in the sun. I left the rooftop plants alone as I believe having additional leaf mass enables them to withstand temp and environmental fluctuations better. Whether or not this is the case, it was an experiment.

Just loving the growth of her I am tempted to put her in the dirt time will tell.

She just seems to get frostier ❄️ by the day and her fragrance smells a bit sweeter than last time I ran her. I love her colors, the pink and yellow contrast is just beautiful! I keep checking trichomes, but still not a lot of amber. Maybe another week or more. Also, I realized my BlueLab Conductivity Meter has the option to switch to EC. Since EC is the most accurate way to measure the nutrient concentration in a solution, I will now be measuring and reporting EC readings rather than PPM. I turned her pot and plucked a couple of yellow shade leaves...the basic daily maintenance. 9/22- I didn't water her yesterday as she looked great and was 'praying' hard. Today she was given 1.5g of de-chlorinated water which was ph'd to 6.2 @ 72℉ which I gave her through her drip pan (bottom chuggin) and I also gave her pot a turn. I'm keeping an eye on what appears to be a few seeds developing. I'm hoping they're just fat calyx's that haven't matured yet however there's a strong possibility that, due to a temperature fluctuation that was excessive (20℉) may have caused her to stress and turn hermaphroditic... Fingers crossed! 🤔🤞 9/24- We're getting close to wrapping up Week Six of flower in a couple of days and she is right on track to be finishing up in the next 2-3 weeks. I didn't water yesterday and today I went ahead and gave the last Top Dress of Dr. Earth Flower Girl 3-9-4, Dr. Earth Gold Premium 4-4-4, Down To Earth Bio-Fish, Down To Earth High Phosphorus Bat Guano and Worm Castings. I watered in the Top Dress with 1.5g of de-chlorinated water which was ph'd to 6.2 @ 72℉ and let her enjoy her meal! 😜 9/26- After her heavy watering on the 24th I didn't water yesterday and when I checked her today at 'lights on' and she still had some weight to her pot and her leaves were praying hard so I held off on watering today and will hit her tomorrow with her usual 1.5g watering. ~Thanks for stopping in! Finally have put up the new setup from spider farmer together and I am very pleased with a modern version more control and can watch from distance what's going on . Ich habe erneut ein paar Bananen entfernen müssen. Ich hoffe das ich nicht allzuviele Samen im Endprodukt haben werden. Gegossen wird weiterhin nur mit Wasser. Der Herbst hält nun deutlich Einzug, ich denke innerhalb der nächsten 2-3 Wochen wird geerntet.

I put a net in to try to get a more even canopy and utilise the space of the tent. It didnt really work too well though. I ended up only leaving it in for periods as i found it really annoying to water and manage devices in the tent with the net in.

April 25, 2020/Day 15: I applied LST/tipped her over today and defoliated one leaf. April 25/Day 16: EEEEEeeee I watered with the wrong container, giving her tap water, fresh out of the tap. Chlorinated and all. :D I chased it with 2 litres of proper 6.5 PH. April 27/Day 17: Defoliated 2 leaves and reapplied LST. She is growing like ground coverage, especially after LST. :D I think it's safe to plant a third seed in my small tent. She looks small. Maybe she will surprise me and start taking off in growth. :) This is the smallest plant I've seen at Day 17. May 1 @1pm/Day 21: Topped her at her highest point May 1 @ 11pm/EOD 21: Defoliated 4 more leaves and applied LST to all of the tops

Second week of bloom: steady growth is visible on both. I incresed the bloom nutrient ratio to 3ml/L Water. Atm I have to water them everyday with 1L Water, I have the feeling that my dehumidifier is pulling more moisture from the soil that I would have liked. 2nd picture shows that both Exodus have different shades of green although both follow the same schedule and feed plan. I switched positions in the tent, maybe it’s due to the air circulation. As always I‘ll add more pictures throughout the week. Now back to Final Fantasy VII Rebirth 😘 Update 05/03: Took a couple of pictures plants are gaining in height, I added 0.5ml Calmag to the Water once this week. No sign of Cal or Mg deficiency but I added it to prevent during this major height growth phase.
