Well I’m closing this one out. I had a lot of problems with humidity outside and bud rot, in hindsight i read a few reviews in the last few weeks and purple kush is susceptible to bud rot. I did 2 separate harvest, one on the 9th and one on the 14th. I collected everything I could smoke, there is still buds left on the plants but because of bud rot and immature buds I’m saying fuck it. Sonoma seeds quotes 9-10 weeks flower i harvested at week 8 and week 9. I harvested just shy of a pound total, and just over and oz of “purple” looking weed. Between you guys and i, the purple one was pretty shwaggy as far as bud goes. Would i grow this again outdoors? NOPE. Would i try it indoors? You will have to stay tuned for my next grow. If you plan to grow this strain outdoors do not do it. The fact that it’s pretty much 100%indica it does not like to get wet,🤦‍♂️🏻 if you are in the desert, indoors or live in Afghanistan (lineage) go for it. The taste is also not quite what I expected, all the reviews say grapes, but i taste a neutral taste. Some of it smells quite good in the jars but as soon as you smell each bud it smells like spicy woody herb with some dank undertone. Trimming it i had some sort of dank spicy smell i just can’t put my fingers on, except it was all over them. The buzz is “ok”but nothing to knock your socks off with. It is a stimulating feeling followed by a calm “not sleepy” feeling. I haven’t grown many outdoor variety’s but I’m sure most of them turn out the same. I’m waiting for my indoor no name to finish and I can start trying to redeem myself with my leftover seeds, and hopefully get the true quality/if there is, with this purple kush strain. Been doing a lot of tweaking with the new gear and multiple sets of plants. Been quite a busy week and probably behind a bit on keeping track of everything. I'm currently working on trying to get better charts made to keep track of things like light schedules, detailed feedings, height change per day, etc. My current setup is my oldest 1st set of plants (5plants) and my 3rd set (6 seedlings), in my new 4x4 Vivosun grow tent equipped with a Spider Farmer SF-1000. I have kept my 2nd set of plants (4plants) in my original 4x2 Vivosun equipped with 600W Vivosun LED. These plants had been extremely stressed due to not having soil or containers available with shipping constraints. They've been doing a lot better since then and I'm hoping they make a full recovery. Fingers crossed! Running 24hr light schedule. Both tents equipped with temp/hygro high and low ranging from about 71-81°F with an average of about 78°F. Watering by plant pot weight, according to GH FloraTrio + CalMag Schedule. Mild LST via tucking of leaves blocking developing sites. The first set of plant's nutrients was made to 4gal of water. The mix is a ratio of (Cal-Mag/GHMicro/GHGro/GHBloom) It's mixed (for the 4gal) in order; 10mL, 5mL, 10mL, 10mL. 440ppm @ 98.5°F 890EC @ 2.2°F us/cm This new nutrient mix was applied for the first time tonight and will run about a week. I'm running a bit behind according to the GH schedule I was following due to stunting the growth I felt like over a couple issues to where I have them an extra week of veg nutrients. As I have defoliated them and they have seemed to take it pretty well, I'm hoping the increase in bloom nutrients will kick the buds into overdrive for production and the plants will start to thicken up again. The second mix follows the same order as the first set in regards to nutrient usage. This mix is only mixed to one gallon. It as follows; 2.5mL, 2.5mL, 1.25mL, 2.5mL. 500ppm @ 98.6°F 992EC @ 0.4°F us/cm This is mostly following the same GH nutrient schedule as the first set only about 2 weeks behind. These plants suffered from being in too small of containers for too long and I believe this stunted their growth. I've had them in suitable new containers for a couple days now and hoping this new mix of increased nutrients will bring them back to life a bit and get them back in schedule. I'm honestly not too sure still about the ppm and EC numbers but a few bud-dies have mentioned that it plays important roles in plant health. So until I can better research good numbers and how to control it for my set up, I'm at the very least trying to keep track of the data. I apologise about this large chunk of text! Wow what a strong weed. The yellowing stopped immediately after repotting and she wasn't stunted at all. I give her 3 liter water every other day. The temps are higher in this season I hope that will not be too much of an effect on yield. Humidity is OK so mold should stay out too.

Day 65, 17th of November 2020: Welcome back at the beggining of the 3rd week of flowering. They seem to be stopped streching and now concentrating on buds. All of them are gorgeous..... The 2 Zamnesia genetics Gelato and Kalini Asia are pretty and buds are forming nicely. Kalini Asia might strech a bit more but not long. The Sweet Seed ones are really nice and I am so happy because Red Hot Cookies is already getting red.... pistils and around the leaves.. I hope the same happens to the Red Mandarine and Tropicanna Poison also. They are so gorgeous. They calmed down I don't expect more strech. Fertilization still the same every 2nd day with the ratio and mix above. Some lollipopping (Defoliation) is also done. I removed all the LST the plant remains in the same shape from now. The lamp is on 11.30 min and off 12.30 min. Last week was 15 min longer light cycle.... So every week 15 min shorter light cycle until the 5th week. So far -30 min. It switches on at 6 am and off at 17.30 pm.

Added white foil in the back of the greenhouse to allow for some more light in the back. She reacted to this fairly quickly by rotating her leaves more upward rather than to one side. I also raised the camera more and adjusted the position of the pot for it to be more centered.

Has been doing well the past week the growth is coming along nicely. Started nutrients and a fan schedule to strengthen stock has been set. Well come back in 1 week to check growth and monitor daily temp and hummidity is key.

Nice plants 2 totally different phenotypes, as one was already harvested, and the other isn't even half way of flowering after 10 weeks. Nice trichome production, great fresh and fruity smell, this plant is a pleasure to smoke in the end of the day. Dried her upside down hanging in a tent I have for the purpose, at 25c, 30%RH - Only removed fan leaves, no manicuring, been doing that as I smoke, noticed the bud lasts longer and with a better smell and you end up saving loads of time. Really happy with this smoke, smells like proper weed. Maybe was the best time I dried and cure(ing). Only problem is that I'm smoking more as it's so tasty ahaha. Good stuff, thumbs up! PS - I'll start looking for the "original" Zkittlez to try out and check the differences between them. Update: 12 April 2021 - Chopped down Plant #2 So, finally Saturday I chopped her down. She looked now ready and delicious, although I only notice yesterday how many seeds she has allover the place. She hermied in front of me without noticing, not good at all and need to start looking much better and in detail into the plants. Feel like an idiot now. Anyways, it was a full week! Emptied the grinder collector and pressed it down a little, makes a very nice smoke, light but pleasant, the kind of stuff it keep you going all day without the dumb effect. From all trimming made the bubble hash. Got a little too green as the 220micron bag's stitches slightly opened letting some contaminants in the final mix, hence the green color. This was a hit. in opposition to the grinder stuff, this sent me straight to the moon, really heavy stone effect, even thinking was hard. Reminded me those afghan/ moroccan balls we used to get back in the early 2000's. The weed itself it's still drying so the smoke report will be updated in there. 715g of fresh cut plant is good, let's see the potency and the seeds. Might turn it all into bubble hash, if I see it'll be an hassle to remove seeds. On an earlier bud I've cut and dried, smoked it and you can see pure white ashes in the bong. Ain't that a beauty?

8/24 Week 6 Flower Reducing Grow nuets will Increase Bloom as we go. Want a lower EC with lots of runoff for tonight, been pretty high and its going up from here. Looking good what to say?
