Day 86 A life cycle is about to reach an end. Knowing that i am the one whos gonna chop and blaze her up is kinda sad or maybe because Im high. It is wht it is though. It is just time Day 91 The photo girls still developing. Seems like they are gonna be ready in weeks. The top colas seem less frosty compared to the lower buds though.

Day 78 - The exciting weeks begins! The smell is nice and fruity and more pistils are browning by the day. Also happy to report that no height was gained on the main colas in the last 10 days. This is a good thing, as my lights are as height as it gets for my tent. I've had to keep the tent pretty wrapped up lately to let the carbon filter do it's thing. The smell is amazing, but creeping down my stairwell if I don't keep an eye on it. 🍊🌲 Day 79 - She's taking up less water these days. Could be influenced by the high humidity in the area and defoliation. Everything looks good and some of the satellite buds are starting to really brown their hairs. Day 80 - Trichomes on some of the satellite buds are turning cloudy! The rest are all still very clear. We've made it into the 80's, not long now! 🌲 Day 81 - Rolling into the 80's! All seems good today. Day 82 - Water uptake is reducing. Pistils are turning brown on the lower ends on the colas now. Day 83 - Starting to see cloudy trichomes on some bud, but most are still clear. Looking really frosty. 🍊🌲 Day 84 - The end of the week! I'm thinking she'll be close to 100 days before the harvest. Everything went well this week - if only the humidity in my area would drop a bit that would help out. Onto the final weeks!

I have scratched back surface soil, and topped up with canna terra pro and DyNoMyCo ✌️💚 Day 16 19/07/24 Friday Lite Feed today, 250ml each pot small run off. Seeing excellent start to these babies. The week starts Monday, Jan-13 in flowering stage. The plant is growing fast, stretching long and I'm constantly tying down branches to maintain an even canopy. There's also a stronger scent of lemon already in the tent. Carried out substantial defoliation of almost all the big fan leaves and a few little stems that were not likely to make it above the canopy. Avoided defoliating the major cola branches. This encourages the plant not to waste resources on a node which is only going to produce “popcorn” buds. The plants reacted well to the defoliation and were looking good by the end of the light cycle for the day. The net is completely full and this will be the last week of applying any LST as part of the ScrOG setup. Light is maintained at 30cm distance from canopy, with daily fertigation at lights on - watering almost 3L per day. Lowered the average RH in the space to 50%. ----prior 4 weeks updates ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The week starts Monday, Jan-06 in flowering stage. The net is filling up nicely with the ScrOG process being enjoyable - just tucking branches nicely under squares once stretched enough. Lost a branch end with 3 nodes accidentally whilst tucking away so now I'm super careful. The Sativa dominant strain is stretching nicely and bends easily. Minor defoliation of lower branches and fan leaves continues daily. Light is maintained at 30cm distance from canopy. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The week starts Monday, Dec-30 in vegetative stage - switching the light regime to flowering. Initiated flowering with an extended dark period prior to switching light regime - this practice is supposed to promote a faster initiation of flowering by the plant. Maintain lights off from Dec-31, 10:00 until Jan 1 - 18:45 allowing a 32hr darkness period prior to switching the light regime. Light regime is set for 12.5/11.5 on/off allowing me a better maintenance window for my living situation. Both plants are growing fast and strong, showing their genetic traits. Some shoots are going through the net already. Have started to tuck branches as they grow to fill up any gaps. Did minor defoliation on both plants near their stem base and centres. Some green algae on roots/coco medium on the surface of the pot. Have defoliated some more which hopefully helps with air circulation at the area. Will monitor over the week - may need to decrease watering frequency, although they seem to be keeping up drinking. Lowered the High Humidity setting of the extraction fan to 60% - which effectively keeps it running at least 75% of the time, and removed the humidifier. Will monitor and adjust as necessary lowering the setting to 50% in a few weeks whilst flowering. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The week starts Monday, Dec-23 in vegetative stage. Installed the ScrOG net - Set at 20cm from the base of the plants, being 55cm from ground. The plant is showing great growth, lots of branching and new growth sprouts. A few branches are beginning to come through the net and almost all main branches are now tied down horizontally after the two recent toppings. Applied more LST and will wait for the branches to reach the net and start tucking. The AC Infinity fan is currently only running intermittently with its current settings. This seems to impact the utilisation and effectiveness of the carbon filter in use. The desired outcome is for the fan to be running for longer periods whilst in Auto config. Lowered the High Level Humidity from 70% to 60%, and more importantly, lowered the Max Speed from 4 to 2 with the intent that a lower fan speed will result in longer periods where the extraction fan is operated to remain below threshold targets for the grow space. Plant growth continues to be strong at the end of the week. Big fan leaves near the top are beginning to look a little serrated and dark, similar to the start of this grow. This may be due to the extra CalMag being added which was the issue at the start of the grow. Will keep monitoring and half the CalMag dosage on next feed. Importantly, I have learnt nutrient mixing of the CalMag should be done prior to the Canna Coco A & B. To date I have done the opposite which may explain my earlier issues. Fertigating daily at the start of the light cycle. One more week of vegetative growth before switching to flowering although I may need to switch earlier due to the vigorous growth and considering the stretch yet to come. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ................................. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- My grow setup includes; - Secret Jardin DS120W tent (120cm x 60cm x 180cm) placed inside the bedroom. Passive intake of air is from a closed off section of the room where the central heating boiler sits - the intake is warm air (20 degC.) and fairly dry (40% RH) during the winter months. - Mars Hydro SP250 LED light - extraction fan - AC Infinity Cloudline T6 - ventilation fans - aquarium heater - small oil heater - small dehumidifier - 20L Airpots and 3.5L general pots for seedling stage - Canna Coco substrate and nutrients - pH and EC/TDS meters - Thermo/Hygro meter

Harvested a week early because of bud rot caused by calcium deficiency. I did a triple wash with hydrogen peroxide, baking soda and plain water to rinse. Note for future Coco needs a lot of calcium and magnesium. With constant drip system you need way less nutrients in solution. Check PH if you use calcium sulfate or silica!!! Once cured the weed has a good nutty smell with a little berry. It’s not very resinous, it has a good mind numbing effect but doesn’t lost more than one hour for 3/4 puffs, this is because of early harvest for sure because my previous crop was lot more potent.

This thing is insane! Rapidly growing everyday. I need to keep it under control for another for about 30 more days before I can fit it in my other tent.

---GENERAL COMMENT--- Girls are at day 4 technically, but i like to update Sunday always, so keep that in mind, is 1/2 a week now. From germination to soil emerging took 3-4 days, no issues at all. 100% germination rate from multiple breeders till now. I will try my best to do a stress free grow again, so will grow mainly naturally. ---RQS QUICK ONE--- She is tiny, tiny, tiny. The smallest seedling i ever have worked with. Hope she takes off soon! ---DAY 10 UPDATE--- over some days she got volume, just started to use RECHARGE, and wow, that thing works, 48H you could tell something is different, since watering with it the stem is thicker and is growing more vigorous, lets see how it will impact overall! ---DAY 14 UPDATE--- This is the last day of this week and this girl is showing some kind of wired markings since the beginning in the first sets of leaves, will do her anyways... She grew a lot, showing already the intension of shooting up more stems like her cousin. She will be on plain water and recharge till i stabilise and figure what is going on with her, at least for a week. This strains tend to be easy and do well with low nutes, light and etc, really basic, i like to pay to see so i never give up from a pheno, but is not fun to have issues... No worries though there is always a crop after the other 😎👍. Lets see what happens next.

March 17, Day 76: As written I collected the last three plants. At the moment I got a partial of 224 grams from the first three plants and I think of doubling with the last three. Among the latter is the plant with the largest bud which obviously becomes my favorite. This time I managed to take photographs of the plants before cutting them. With these last three plants I got the most productive plant, the one with the largest bud and the one with the longest bud 😉 For a final report on this strain: The Gorilla by RQS is an excellent strain for anyone who loves a high THC content and I particularly recommend it to growers who pass for the first time from photoiperiods to autoflowering. You will grow very large and very productive plants very similar to photoperiodic ones. This strain branches out a lot and must be defoliated and de-branched. You can grow it well with the SCROG technique, but if like me you have no space problems you can also use the Sea Of Green technique. In conclusion I want to thank all the growers who have followed this my first diary to which I have a happy growth! First I have to say that I am very satisfied with the total harvest, from the last three plants I got 369 grams which added to the 224 of the previous harvest make a total of 593 grams. I started this diary with 8 Gorillas and 2 Cheese. 6 Gorillas completed their cycle in the same time frame, the 2 remaining gorillas showed a photoperiodic genetic predominance, one of them is in an advanced flowering phase while the last one after three months still shows only a few pistils. I'll probably kill her, and move on by putting new seeds in the soil. Unfortunately, where I live is illegal to grow marijuana, otherwise I would have simply moved outdoors, but I can't and must be ruthless. Regarding the two cheeses there is not much left at the end of their cycle and I started to give only water to one of the two plants. Good and happy growth to all! 😜
