Hello everyone Last week I cut the Gorilla Skittles after two days in the dark. I put it in the drying cabinet for two more days hanging upside down. After that I separated into branches and hung on hangers. It dried in the closet for 7-9 days when I started trimming the branches that were already ready on the seventh day. Photos, weight and more details in the harvest post. As for the wedding cake, yesterday I finished washing and put it in the dark for 40 hours. Due to extreme heat problems and my broken ac, my plants are suffering from heat and you can see the signs on them. Hope it don't do too much damage. Keep following, more details later :)

ITA: come mi avevo pensato le piante stanno crescendo a vista d'occhio, addirittura di diversi cm al giorno (basti guardare come erano solamente due giorni fa). Fortunatamente non dovrei incappare in problemi legati all'eccessiva altezza in quanto manca più di mezzo metro (forse quasi uno) per raggiungere il soffitto della box. Tutte le piante non mostrano segni di stress o carenze, anche se la temperatura della soluzione nelle ultime settimane è cresciuta: sono partito con la soluzione a 20C e ora siamo a circa 25C. Purtroppo la watermelon zkittles è rimasta più piccolina rispetto alle altre 3. Questo può essere stato causato principalmente per due motivi (dal mio punto di vista che non è quello di Kyle Kushman) 1. taglio delle radici 2. eccessivo stress dovuto a un numero di topping troppo elevato con conseguente eccessiva ramificazione di rami troppo sottili per sostenere il peso di una cima densa e compatta. In ogni caso cercherò di salvare il salvabile. Ho eseguito una defogliazione a tutte e 4 le piante in quanto nella settimana e mezza passata la weed ha rimesso tutte le foglie. Ho potato anche le ramificazioni più basse che non prendevano abbastanza luce, almeno fino a dove sono riuscito ad arrivare dato che il mio growbox si apre solamente da un lato e arrivare dal lato opposto è praticamente impossibile almeno che tu non abbia le braccia lunghe 6 metri. Piano piano si stanno iniziando a formare le cime, vedremo come proseguirà la crescita. Si continua a spingere!!😋 ENG: as I thought the plants are growing visibly, even several cm a day (just look at how they were just two days ago). Fortunately, I should not run into problems related to excessive height as there is more than half a meter (perhaps almost one) to reach the ceiling of the box. In any case I will try to save what can be saved. I performed a defoliation on all 4 plants because in the past week and a half the weed has put back all the leaves. I also pruned the lower branches that didn't get enough light, at least as far as I managed to get as my growbox only opens on one side and getting to the other side is practically impossible unless you have 6 meters long arms. . Little by little the tops are starting to form, we will see how the growth continues. Keep pushing !! 😋

trimmed and netted the plants last night, 12/30, and the energy pushed the plants to stretch another 1/2 inch+ this will be the last week of vegetation as I prep this light leaking tent for flower, not a fan of mars hydro at all right now. their poles are the weakest I've encountered yet, too many light leaks and this is the first grow with it. My high cfm fan , which is only a 4", is pulling the fabric too much and causing the leaks to grow a bit. This is not new, its been happening with indoor tents for a while now but I thought a grow company such as MH would have a decent, respectable tent. My solution is Blackout Curtains draped over the sides. However, I am hesitant to do this with the MH tent as the poles for the tent are too weak as it is, tsk tsk tsk mars hydro. will continue to increase the watts the next 6 days HAPPY NEW YEAR a combination of light and fresh soil has made the plants stretch so I will finish tightening up the MH tent today and ill start flower tomorrow, day 62. while adjusting the height I must have nudged the dial for the dimmer and sent it to 184w. this would have been a big jump but manageable but I lowered the light 7" and the plants took a bit of a hit. I adjusted the light back down to 160w and I'll let the plants recover before anymore adjustments.

A week with lots of activity from my side, from the Gorilla's side, not so much. She stays behind and I can't find any other reason than genetics/seed quality. She is in exactly the same conditions as the other girls. I'm letting her do her thing. She will give some weed, well see how much. Maybe she is a late-bloomer. She does look lush and healthy so we do not understand but are learning. I put in the scrog net since her roommates need it and lowered the lights and started giving more flowering feed. The light is still awesome, the amount it puts out. We will never know if it was the age of the seeds or something else. What I do know is, it was the last time I use a third party seedbank, it is apparently too hard to keep fresh stock with too many strains. Until breeders put a production date o the packaging. Isn't it time someone said that? Cause lets keep it real, we are talking seeds that in any other case would have a cost of production of fractions of cents per seed. We pay what? 3 to 5 to maybe even 20 dollars a seed for an exceptional strain? Is it then too much too ask to put a friggin expiry date on the package? Or store them cooled? The breeder that does that and arranges a deal with third-parties that overstock can be sent back, packaging recycled, in exchange for fresh stock. Like any other fresh trade. For an industry making what, a billion worldwide, it is remarkable how many are still in the stoner with a garage / 80's trailer park, backwater funfair warranty, kinda customer service. Me: i grow organic weed for 30 years, these seeds were old Seed dealer: Yes but you failed to do a raindance on the rising moon, no refund. Me: but its for cannabis? Weed industry: Yes why we charged you double! Me: wow no germination after paying 20 bucks for seeds? Industry: They are all stoners, they won't notice.... Wow! These really do flower fast! Loving them so far! I have other plants on the same time line that are not even close to this progression! Started with the bloom nutes, did a little defoliation and she’s off! I did find a pollen sack on a lower and just peeled it off🤷‍♀️🏻

Well the end is so close I can literally smell it haha :) So far so good theses 2 girls have grown relatively hassle free Allow they don’t have much of a physical resemblance in stature, they do both have lovely purple buds and the same distinct smell ..

Without a doubt the best bud I‘ve ever grown! I have nothing but positive things to say about the genetics of this plant. This was my first mephisto grow so very impressed. Buds are sticky and dense after weeks of 90-100 degree weather. No signs of stress or slowing. The plants tackled every hint of def or toxicity with ease. Got a little less yield than I expected, but not complaining as quality is incredible!! Buds dryed for 6 days and cured for 7 as of review. Very dense and sticky. Yielded 5oz dry A-bud, 2oz dry fluff, and 15oz of wet trim. Pressed the fluff with a 11% yield. Rosin is budder-like and smooth. EDIT: Later edited on aug 17 to provide cure update. —-smoke report—- The finished cured bud reeks intensely of diesel, raspberry, and hash! The smoke itself is light on the lungs and heavy in texture. Smoke hints at flavors of raspberry and caramel with sweet notes. High produces strong headband and couchlock effect. Potency is high without a doubt. Smoking a few under 30 day cured bowls produces a high for a solid 3-6 hours even at a high tolerance level. As of mid-august, the cure is complete and stone has intensified. Feels waaay more indica this time. Fully cured bud can knock a seasoned stoner the fuck out. Blew my expectations out of the water This was my first mephisto grow and it made me a diehard fan. Can‘t wait to grow more later in the year!

Week 5 of vegging has come to an end. The girls are drinking daily and the new tops are developing nicely. I've been stressing the tops a bit, bending them down to let light hit the next set of nodes. The light is now at 24" and at 60 %. I'll be adjusting the intensity and height to keep dli relative. I've also been gradually decreasing light time over the course of 6 days and are currently at 14 hours. The next week will be transition to flower, giving me approximately 9 weeks to finish.
