8th week of flowering. There is a light at the end of the tunnel. After a tip from here, I put all the LED lamps I had in the tent. Doesn't matter how cheap they are. The two light bulbs produce 6500k daylight... And it really bears fruit. The resin production around it is clearly visible. I'm excited. I realize that the trichome photos are a little too early, but I'll test the photo quality.

The temperatures, humidity, height, and watering volume(if measured) in grow conditions are all averaged for the week. The pH is soil pH. Any watering done by me is well water which is 7.6 pH and 50° F. Any listed nutrients are ml/gallon of soil spread evenly across the top of the soil. Day 1 we had a high temperature of 84°F. We had intermittent storms and showers throughout the day that took care of the watering. The powdery mildew treatment worked well on these. Day 2 we had a high temperature of 88°F. We had on and off rain and thunderstorms throughout the day. The rain took care of the watering. These responded well to treatment. I'll treat again tomorrow. Day 3 we had a high temperature of 94°F with clear sunny skies. I watered about 5 gallons from the well. I treated these again with Growers Ally fungicide. The warmer nights, blazing sun, and this fungicide have really cleared up that powdery mildew. They've also decided to go all in on flowering. Day 4 we had a high temperature of 94° with sunny skies. Heat index was over a hundred. It was super hot today. I watered twice about 8 gallons total. Everything looked good after treatment. Day 5 we had a high temperature of 95 and partly cloudy skies. I watered twice about 4-5 gallons each time with well water. Day 6 we had a high temperature of 91°F with partly cloudy skies. I watered twice today 4-5 gallons each pot, each time. These look great after treatment. Day 7 we had a high temperature of 88°F with sunny skies. I watered 5-6 gallons each pot. This week was a success. The powdery mildew issue has been cleared up. The Growers Ally fungicide worked great. These girls have rooted into the ground through the pots which is helping some of the 100+heat index days. It's hard to keep these pots moist in that kind of heat. Overall it was a great week.

How did you create/breed Freakshow? A. Methodical selection, line breeding, and culling is the short answer. Read our About page for more details. Q. Is it an indoor or outdoor type? A. Everything I've ever worked has been outdoors, including of course Freakshow. Also, considering the amount of continuous shameless hybridization that has occurred in the last 40 yrs., any modern kind could easily contain over 40 kinds. In the case of Freakshow, it's much more limited because the ancestry is largely older "Sativas" that didn't go through as much outcrossing. In the 70s in Santa Cruz, Haze was a favorite among surfers for the pure energy and I still have (greatly improved) stock of it around, simply because even when I made hybrids with it I always kept the original in pure form for obvious reasons. Q. What is the psychoactive effect like? A. Like the flavors, many people have commented that the "buzz" is somewhat different than other mainstream types out there. It's not entirely out of the scope of imagination that given that this strain has new alleles in so many other respects, that it could also contain new, unique cannabinoids, as well as new and unique terpenoids, some of which may not even be among the standard 16 or so that the average lab is testing for. Aside from the up, cerebral, energetic boost, some report a mild time/space warp effect. Creativity and idea induction should be mentioned, for sure. Freakshow has the pure energy effect and greatly alters perception to the positive side, so definitely destroys depression. I thought I better clarify this because there are a few people thinking that because of an article "Growing Marijuana that Doesn't look like Marijuana" that mentions that I had worked web-leaf types years ago and had eventually turned that into Freakshow. This is incorrect and I'm needing to get ahold of the writer to have him change it. When I read the piece and saw the mistake I figured it didn't matter that much, that the actual method of breeding could just remain a "trade secret". Recently, I noticed online that a posting, "Freakshow only exists because of duckfoot" by Curious Cannabis Connoisseur, where he explains how I developed Freakshow using Duckfoot. Let me explain, about 20 yrs. ago a friend gave me a jar of seeds labeled "BC Bigbud" and I sprouted flats of hundreds to look for oddities and had found one web-leaf pheno which we named Webster. It was a female so I bred it to a normal leaf male and began selecting and stabilizing a line of Webster. About 5 or 6 generations later I had nailed it to 100% webs and had also stabilized it for a deep purple color and a nice "gingerbread" terp profile. I was busy working other lines at that point so I put Webster in the library. Also, I was having a hell of a time getting a pheno of it that flowered to my satisfaction. (it seemed to finish with a limited number of calyxes). I knew I would have to outcross it to something with a big tasty bud and restabilize it for web-leaf, and I no longer had the original BC Bigbud. I still have the Webster seeds, and trust me the thought has crossed my mind to make the cross with Freakshow, but why? Why mess around crossing things just to create something even weirder? I have heard that the "Duckfoot" also doesn't bud up well so maybe there's a correlation there. Anyway, people can do what they want to and I will too, but crossing Freakshow with some low-THC crap like ABC is in my opinion idiotic. I worked extremely hard stabilizing and perfecting a beautiful new subspecies and I believe it should be kept pure. I won't go on a rant here about the rampant crossing and the lack of line-breeding in the cannabis world in the last several decades, or where this will eventually lead us, but I will say that it's not in a good direction. Bottom line....Freakshow has no web-leaf genes, it was made using top-grade tropical narrow-leaf drug (NLD) cultivars. Q.Why is Freakshow patented? A. Although I and most others (including all the folks at HSC) believe in and subscribe to the concept of "open sourcing" because sharing in cannabis genetics was always the cultural norm, it was decided that Freakshow should be protected (1) because it is a novel and unique, not a preexisting strain (or even subspecies), (2) To keep the greedy corporate big boys from exploiting it, (3) To maintain control of the genetic refinement of it in all future generations. Hi Growmies. I hope you will all have a blessed Christmas with family and friends around you sharing love and good food. What a great week this has been. It seems they started the cycle so slowly at the beginning of the week and within a few days it had exploded with flowers a across all the plants. From base to tip on each branch of all the ladies they have sprung up with a bang. I was concerned as to how much longer they could go without flowering too. #1 Is leading the pack for production in general, closely followed by #3 but for Flower size and growth, then it has to be #2. She is a lot smaller than her sisters in girth and limbs but is not lacking in the cola dept at all. The plagron bloom products and planned effects are very evident now and i am looking forward to seeing how it helps with yield and quality now. As i have now reached 4 weeks flowering, it is time to add the product I have been most excited about trying , Green Sensation. I have known about thisnpriduct a long time but never had the opportunity to add it to my arsenal. It looks and smells great to me so I expect the girls will savour its goodness. LET THE DIARY START OFFICIALLY: 10/06/2020. planting. I have prepared everything I need for planting. The 11lit fabric pot I got from RQS, also Organic Boost Nutrition and Mycorrhizza from RQS, Soil is Light-Mix from BioBizz and of course the seeds of the new strain Hulkberry Automatic. After adding 50g of pellets from Organic Nutrition and 5g of Mycorrhizze, I mixed everything well in the pot. After that I watered well and soaked the soil, I dug a hole with a wooden stick about 2-3 cm, I first put 1g of mycorrhize and then put the seeds inside. I lightly covered the hole with earth and put the pots in their new home. I planted two Hulkberries and one Green Gelato Automatic. The temperature was about 25 degrees and the humidity about 65%. 14/06/2020. She sprouted. After 4 days, Hulkberries came out. In the meantime, I sprayed the surface of the earth a little twice. The temperature is still around 26 degrees, thanks to the summer and the high temperature that enters the apartment anyway. I regulate the humidity with a humidifier, I maintain it around 60% -65%. 15/06/2020. Their first photo shoot, I also watered their with about 2 liters of water, which I only regulated p.H. at 6.3 with Plagron, Lemon Kick. 19/06/2020. Day 1. Hulkberries is officially one day old. On that occasion I took another photo shoot to celebrate this big day :). 24/06/2020. First Feeding First feeding. Their got a whole meal from BioBizz, Root-Juice, Bio-Heaven and Acti-Vera, p.H of water I regulated with Lemon Kick from Plagron. 25/06/2020. Day 7. End of the first week. For now, everything is great. It is developing nicely, its conditions are almost perfect. (wednesday, start week 8) plants both start flowering, the water in the Dwc has only 400 ppm. this plant drinks a lot instead of feeding later on this week: changed water to 650ppm (friday) soil plant looks like its over or underwatered. i used 1/3 perlite and water once a week 1 liter. the pot weighs normal.. maybe i should keep watering everyday half a liter ? the video and pictures of these problems are added to this week, my PH meter was broke causing me to give the wrong Ph for a while.. i now use the liquid ph test kit from GHE, she starts to look better now. ill be happy to finish this i dont like all the leaves on this strain

With great joy I will start my second season growing cannabis. I hope to learn from some small mistakes from the first season where I was surprised by my performance as a first-time sailor cultivating the BlueDream strain. This season I left the 4 seeds of GorillaGlue 36hrs in a pot of water to break the dormancy. After that I used the napkin technique for more 42 hrs. So I put each one in a 5-gallon airpot, as they are automatic and go to harvest in the same pot. After 24hrs in the vase the first 2 little leaves came out. I made a homemade dome with a 2-gallon water bottle, cutting it into strips and lining it with plastic with some holes to keep the humidity high during this initial phase. We entered the first week of cultivation and unfortunately due to an oversight I got confused in the fertilizer table and clearly the dreaded overfert happened. I did a watering only with water to try to remove the excess fertilizer let's hope it works.

Added video comparison of bud development under late autumns sun vs. warm LED Quantum Board. Today outdoor will move inside. Update will follow ! Day 5 off drying. When you enter your dry room and see such tooth picks - you harvested TOO EARLY !!!!! ;))) I kinda knew it, but still such sad picture ... Couple more days and dry result will show it all. Switched to flowering this week (Nov. 1) and of course drained, cleaned and refilled the reservoir buckets with the flowering nutrient solution. Cleaning this week indicated more growth on the interior surfaces than normal so I also did a full H2O2 (3%) clean, with a good rinse afterwards. Also ran the air stone in a cleaning cycle for a few minutes. You can see that the discoloration from last week is gone, thankfully. Keeping the pH in check though I did let it slip with a few days in between readings there. Thankfully no substantial effect. I'm not sure I love the overall geometry of the plant... but it's healthy and has a decent number of colas forming so that's all that counts. Compared to the chilled and recirculated water system I used last time around, this is MUCH easier. My reservoir temps are a bit higher than I'd like but the Hydroguard is doing it's job and no issues so far. Fingers crossed it stays this way. Thanks for reading growmieverse.

Week 7: Well after accidentally super cropping the White Widow, splitting a branch then taping up on the Blueberry Big Devil and then mass defoliation, the ladies have coped well. I feel like I have watering dialed in now with a combination of using a soil moisture meter and picking up the pots, I have faith I am close to right with timing. The last feeding in week 6 I used full strength nutrients. This resulted in some nutrient burn with some tips of leaves changing colors. I feed just water the next go around and yesterday feed again with 1/2 strength nutrients. I will stick with that until flush. I am going to switch to dry amendments for my next grow and try that out. Temperatures are coming down into 60s at night and topping out in low 80s. Humidity has been hovering between 45-50 without any need for equipment to run. I did some lollipoping and cut lose all the secondary popcorn buds that weren't seeing the light of day. I can't think of anything I could have done physically to stress them beyond this point than I have, so from this point on out I am just going to water and feed. No more LST, adjustments, etc.. I have already been way too active in flower from my understand of autos anyway.
