Day 58: Scent has stepped up again and I'm noticing some of bud sites starting to develop frost. Day 58.5 Flushed with 20l of PH & CalMag. Day 59: reorganised tent Day 60: Fertigated 3l. Karen has put on a load of frost in the last 24h. I mean seriously. Smell stepped up again. Height 44cm. Day 60.5: I have had a really good look at other KKA grows. I think Karen is going to need a few extra weeks. I think she will be ready for harvest in about week 14. So I think we have about another 4-5 weeks to go. Day 61: Adjusted the LST a bit. She's frosting rapidly now. 😍😍🤩 Height 45cm. Width: 60cm x 70cm Day 61.5: It is only 8 days since I *heavily* defoliated and I think I probably should do it again already. Things are progressing well at the moment though so I am trying to resist doing it too soon. She is still stretching. Day 61.75: Right, I have done some research and I have made a decision,. I'm going to give Karen 2 full weeks from the last defoliation on day 53, so on day 67 (i.e half way through next week) I will defoliate and perform final LST just to space out the colas a bite more at the "top" of the plant. Who knew basil flowers were so pretty? 😊 Day 62: Fertigated 3l Day 63: Height 47cm width 65cm x 75cm Week Summary: Another big week with a plant barely recognisable from herself a week ago. As well as the ongoing stretch she has started to frost over this week and I am hoping this continues because more and more is appearing all over the place.

Plain water as usual, did top some of them with bat guano only the ones I think need it the rest looks ok

Flower Week 6 Day 42 to 48 - 4/29 to 5/5 They both look very healthy this week. The calyx are swelling with maturing hairs, the pistols are orange, the trichomes are mostly white, and the leaves are fading/changing colors - still not ripe enough for me, but flushing with half nute feeds now. Feed this week was another auto pot reservoir flush feed at 400ppm total before add-ins. I used 400ppm of Bloom concentrate mix (recipe week 5). And then, I also added 1ml/gal of CaliMagic (General Hydroponics 1-0-0). PH balance this week was for 5.8 where I plan to maintain it until harvest. Next week will continue the same half nute feed. I will continue to monitor the signs of trichomes, pistols, and calyx for a better harvest and allow the buds to mature more.

Se nota que están en plena etapa de desarrollo, no solo por su tamaño, sino también por su apetito: están pidiendo más agua que antes. Como desde el inicio hemos estado aportando fertilizantes, en estos últimos riegos decidí usar solo agua con pH controlado y una EC muy baja. Esto me permite equilibrar el sustrato y evitar una sobre-fertilización, que en esta etapa podría ser contraproducente. Todo va viento en popa, y las plantas están respondiendo muy bien. Seguimos atentos y con muchas ganas de ver cómo evolucionan en esta etapa. ¡Nos vemos la próxima semana con más avances! 🌿💧✨

Everything going nicely so far not much stretch after the first week and bud sites popping up everywhere. Day 66 - they were really bushy so decided to give them a lil hair cut, cutting away all the big fan leaves leaving all the bud sites. Day 68 - I fed them until run of today as going on holiday next week and have a pal sorting them out from Monday So far so good :) Will wait till end of the 3rd week and give them a little defoliation to improve air flow and light spread untill then there fed either everyday or every other day depending on when they need it.

Welcome to my Fast Buds sponsored shootout and living organic soil v coco side by side. I also plan to use this grow to my full advantage regarding a few age old nagging questions about methods. I have had a keen interest in L.O.S ( supersoil) since reading a few threads a while back on how amazing and productive it can be. After too much research and procrastinating I had to give it a go. I have been a decades coco/nft grower and recently threw my hat in the rdwc ring too. I have avoided soil due to the overwatering worry ( heavy handed chimp brain !) and the best potting soil/feeds. Catching up on the advances in indoor soil gardening and organics led me too subcools supersoil recipes to name a few but being a town dweller with farms everywhere around me still drew blanks on a lot of the ingredients needed and where the hell I could even begin to get them from. Thankfully , commercial savvy has now made buying it in ready to use and with a full range of beneficial bacteria ect available in amendments from a grow shop here in the uk. ecothrive have realised the potential for us to dive into this medium with all the mixing , measuring and resourcing. I bit the bullet and £150 later I now have 4 x37Litre pots that will be used for as long as I want to feed the soil for without EVER needing nutrients again potentially. The coco has also had charge mixed in to encourage the bennies to colonize there too. I will be using the shogun nutes that I know do the business with coco to compare with for yield , growth and taste. I have 3 seeds each of 4 Fast Buds Strains to use as a control for the grow and am journaling each strain in their own diaries. This statement will be used to start each one as the information is identical at this point but following this I will do them individually. I am now starting their second week since opening the seed packets , straight into soaked and shook root riot cubes and into the heated propagator. They had all showed their heads by end of day 3 and a couple needed helmet surgery to open up without being hindered . I have has them in the prop for a few days but they needed to get settled as they were popping roots out all over the cubes. They have now been in their final pots for 2 days complete and starting their 3rd today at day 8 since planting in cubes. I am impressed with the speed and success of these girls already (12 of 13 germinated) . Well done fast buds. So here we go folks , any comments , ideas ,questions , advice are always welcome and I hope we can have some fun experimenting with defol v non defol , topping v fimming v bending and any other curiosities along the way. Week 7 for Black Lebanon by SSSC She seems fairly happy she's still not exploding how id like her to but i don't think the roots have started getting around the bigger pot yet putting in mind how much it rained on her after it was transplanted. Haven't even fed her in the last 2 weeks 😂 these bigger pots really catch a lot of rain 😅 Trying to give her some time to dry up so the roots can explode. Likely to not be feeding her this up coming week either as we have 2/3 days of rain coming up still😪 Im sure in no time she will take it up a gear growth wise. I tend to not touch her too much because every time i go to say hello we have some big jumping spiders on her i know she's here to help but Jesus i hate those things 😂😂

Day 65. Omg the smell is so amazing, it's hard to describe, sweet and sour at the same time. Maybe a young guava. I could smell her all day. The buds are small but frosty. These buds will make for easy trim.

Welcome to week six! 🌱 Week five was a complete success – all parameters are perfectly aligned. I’ve increased the water conductivity to a solid 3000 and bumped the CO2 level up to 1200 🌿. Light intensity is now set at 1400 µmol in the center and 1000 at the edges, which will keep the plants strong in their generative state 🌞. I’ll maintain these levels until the end of the third week and then start slowly removing the large fan leaves to ensure the buds get plenty of light 💡✨. I’m also trying something new to activate the “Emerson effect” 🌄: I’m running the deep red lights for 5 minutes before sunset and for another 5 minutes after the day ends. This should give the plants a final boost in photosynthesis, helping to maximize their growth potential! Everything’s looking fantastic so far! The Black Cherry has rooted well across different experimental setups, and at the end of the grow, I’ll provide a full report on the best care techniques for both strains 🌺👌. 08/27: I removed the humidity domes and moved then to the tent earlier this week. Usually when i do this I expect a day for them to look rough and have to recover to the change in their environment. These however took like 3 days to bounce back. And there are clear sings of their struggle in the leaves. Hopefully this is not an indication of them being weak in their resistance. Looking forward to seeing how they do this week now that they have recovered and started to grow new foliage.

Buds are swelling up like crazy. Smell is starting to get very strong. Blueberry, CBD Big Bud Skunk and Do SI Do's are well into flower. The buds are enormous!! I've noticed a few are nitrogen hungry. I've been supplimenting and they seem to be happy. All in all very happy with the progress and how smooth things are going.... so far. Had some issues with the big fan leaves on the lower nodes. They weren’t doing so great, turning brown and brittle so I cut them off today. Hopefully that helps, probably should have done it sooner but I was a little worried I was going to kill it or something. It’s still growing though, lots of new growth and a few branches growing potential bud sites so I think it’s ok. The reason the leaves were dying? Could have been the low humidity. Could have been underwatering (she’s sucking up the water really quickly, needs to be transplanted). Maybe I have the light too close, realized today it’s only 8 inches away, I was just eyeballing it. If you know the proper distance for this Mars Hydro TS1000 LED please comment below. I will be transplanting this week on Thursday when my new Air-pots come. Goals for this week: Figure out exactly how much I should be feeding this thing, it’s possible it needs cal-Mag added to the food? If you know about nutrients please comment below.
