*If anyone read through my GDP diary, this is going to be mostly the same stuff. So, sad day friends. I got spider mites and had to throw all my plants out. This is what I think happened: About 2-3 weeks ago I noticed some freckling on the lower leaves. I looked at it and thought it might be a cal/mag issue so I added cal/mag that week and went about my business. I saw it about a week later and it wasn't getting any better so I added more cal/mag. This continued for about 2-3 weeks until I finally took off a leaf and examined it under my microscope. I saw little bugs crawling everywhere and my stomach just dropped. My fiance did some quick research while I was panic ripping leaves off (see pictures) and she correctly diagnosed it as spider mites. I debated with myself and my close friend and ultimately I decided to throw all the plants in my tent away. I know that there are a lot of people who will say that there are things I could have done to make it to harvest but what it came down to is the people I take care of and personal pride. I consider myself a caregiver and I give away product for free that I am not going to use to my family and close friends. I thought to myself "Would you smoke this?" and when my answer was "ehhh, I don't know", I thought about how it would feel giving it away and immediately made the decision to destroy them. I take an immense amount of pride in my product and this hobby and if I am not going to stand behind it I would rather just start over. I grow from my heart (shout out to the Grow From Your Heart Podcast!) to help people and make sure my family is not getting unsafe product from sketchy people. To spray pesticides in flower that may hurt people and have little bug carcasses in there just goes against that in every way and is just wrong in my opinion if you are giving it away to others. If you are the only one smoking it then it is one thing to take that risk but not with your patients. I want my medicine to help people, not create or exacerbate health issues. It is also important to note that the mites had moved from my flower tent into my veg space and took over my auto berry as well. Damn things are crafty and fast. So that is why I made the decision to destroy them all after 3+ months of res changes, pruning, and manifolding on a slow vegging strain. Feel free to chime in with your opinion but I do not regret my decision. I threw out my new clones, mother plant, and auto berry I had on my veg side as well. Shout out to all the other growers out there that do the right thing by their patients. Caregivers > Cash croppers. For anyone curious, I removed everything from my tent and scrubbed it all with a 20% bleach/water solution. All equipment has been wiped down and stored in the garage away from any organic materials. I will give them until tomorrow (2 days) to air out and dry and then I will wipe it down again with bleach and wait another 2 days. Hopefully that will make sure everything is dead and will not come back next grow. That next grow should start in about a week. It sucks but sometimes it happens and you gotta be ready for it. Lesson learned. Never bring outdoor plants into your indoor garden even if it is after just a day or two. A bunch of people on here and Reddit warned me and I did not listen. Now I have learned the hard way and it feels like when your parents "told you so" haha. Thanks to everyone who stopped by along the way. Stay tuned for a new grow coming soon. It is going to be some cool new limited edition Mephisto Illuminautos. I am pretty excited. Good luck out there and always grow from your heart folks. -Grim

Week 1 Day 1 - 8/12/2023 1st Water change Day! Such a special time it is when you remove the little bit of Nutes that you gave them as an appetizer and you give them their first real meal. Added 39 Gallons of Water to my system SILICA= .5mil/Gal = 19.5 = 20mil Root Drip = 1mil/Gal = 39mil Cal Mag= .25mil/Gal = 9.75 = 10mil FLoraMicro= 3.0mil/Gal = 114mil FloraGro = 2.0mil/Gal = 78mil FloraBloom = 2.0mil/Gal =78mil ORCA= .5mil/Gal = 19.5 = 20mil Week 1 Day 2 - 8/13/2023 Everything is looking good the roots are making their way to the water and the new grow is looking nice and green. Week 1 Day 3- 8/14/2023 Everything is right on track, they are looking beautiful and in the praying position all leaves happily lifting towards the light. Week 1 Day 4- 8/15/2023 A little worried today her birth Twin the BA I am growing out is looking great and is raised towards the light and this one is just slightly under.. Will keep an eye on Her. Week 1 Day 5- 8/16/2023 Walked in and the humidity was under 60.... ohh noooooo.. So I added 2 humidifiers to the tent and attached them to my InkBird controller which is set to 62. Also looking at the roots and she has some poking out the bottom but just not in the water yet.. Luckily we are set for 14 days before next water change so the system will stay stable and her sister already has roots in the water so she should only be a day or two behind.. we will just keep tracking but she is delayed. Week 1 Day 6- 8/17/2023 Roots in the Water!!! Huston, we have a successful launch. This grow is on! Humidity was a little low this morning so I refilled the humidifiers. Other than that the temp looks great, the PH looks good, the PPM looks good the plant is in the praying position and all damage from the little drowning from over filling the cloning machine seems to have been fixed. Happy Happy. Week 1 Day 7- 8/18/2023 Yay.. week 1 in the books, roots in the water growth has started. Everything for growth and environment is looking good and on track, there are a couple of mutations with this Lady will keep an eye on those leaves. IMO this grow is going A lot during this week 1 then week 1 of the last grow when I had them drowning. Really excited on how this grow is going to come out.

Greetings, fellow cultivators! Week 5 unfurls like a verdant tapestry, and my Blackberry Auto continues to astonish with her relentless growth and burgeoning beauty. Join me in this chapter of botanical marvels, where every leaf and bud tells a tale of meticulous care and burgeoning potential. Unstoppable Growth and Insatiable Thirst: Blackberry Auto's growth knows no bounds as she reaches for the heavens, drinking voraciously from the AutoPot Aquavalve. The rhythm of her growth is like a symphony, each day bringing new heights and newfound vigor. It's a testament to her vitality and the nurturing environment she thrives in. Enormous Leafs and Branch Bending Mastery: The foliage has evolved into a canopy of gigantic leaves, each a masterpiece of photosynthetic prowess. As I continue to bend branches, opening her arms to the light, the canopy becomes a labyrinth of greenery, optimizing light penetration and promoting lateral growth. It's a dance with nature, where every bend is a stroke of horticultural artistry. Budding Beauty Unveiled: As the first week of flowering (or pre-flowering, depending on interpretation) dawns, Blackberry Auto reveals the promise of her floral bounty. The buds, adorned with an intricate structure, are a sight to behold – a precursor to the botanical masterpiece that awaits. It's a moment of anticipation, where each bud holds the potential for a harvest of unparalleled quality. Rapid Evolution and Community Gratitude: With each passing day, Blackberry Auto evolves into a botanical marvel, a testament to the magic of cultivation. A heartfelt thank you to @fastbuds_official for bestowing upon us this exquisite strain, a true gem in the world of cannabis genetics. Welcome to 📅Day 36 flower 4/19/2021 we are now fully into flower and she is looking good. I think maybe I may need to increase the cal-mag a bit as it looks like there is a slight deficiency but she is still healthy. The Mars hydro TS 1000💡 is working great and I now have it at 100%. That's all for this weeks first update Happy growing and keep your stick on the ice 🏒 Update 📅Day 40 flower 4/23/2021 she is growing fast and looking great under the Mars Hydro TS 1000 I made a little change in the auto pot and added a an air stone into each pot and a new 2 port air pump to go with it this will keep the solution moving in the bottom of the pot so that the surface does not get grimy and potentially get contaminated and thus harm the plants. It also has the bonus of adding more air to the solution

I placed the 2 seeds in a damp paper towel and placed it into a closed Tupperware. The tupperware was placed in my stereo cabinet (warmest place I could find) and less than a day taps roots were showing. I then placed them in my humidity dome and within 18hrs I had roots sprouting thru the bottom of the sponge. This has been the best start I have yet to have. I also built a new RDWC system with waterfalls to veg and flower these two in. I have photos and video above on the new tent setup. I have it running with just regular tap water until the seedlings are ready to go in. I have also installed a 90gpd RO system (APEC brand) under my kitchen sink. The water comes out 5.8ph and 7ppm. I will be using this RO water thru the entire grow with some Cal-mag of course. The system holds about 25 gallons total of water. The main res is 17 gallons and the two buckets are 5 gallons. I will no longer be using air stones. I have a recirculating pump in the main res, waterfalls in the buckets and of course the main pump running the whole system. Should be plenty of air for the roots. I used 2 in return pipes in the hopes of avoiding roots clogging the pipes. I scrogged last time but I'm not sure I will be going that route. I might just top and train. I will be doing a major defoliation on one and just simple trimming on the other. I am trying to find out if the risks of stressing the plant are worth the returns. Well wish me luck....and away we go. These ladies were a breeze to grow... Feed them all organic nutes and they loved it... They never gave me a problem and at the end of the grow I was rewarded with huge dense nuggets. One of the best performers all of the genectics in this run.

This is my third attempt at my first successful grow, my two initial tries failed from not being aware of needing to add CalMag to RO water and was using Coco... Either way, germination began April 2nd using the paper towel method and bottled spring water, tap roots were long enough to be planted by the 4th. Planted the Blueberry into a solo cup with just Happy Frog, and the Wedding Cake Auto into a 5 gallon fabric pot with mostly Ocean Forest but a solo cup sized amount of Happy Frog were I planted the seed just to get it started without nute burning the seedling. After planting the seeds into the soil I watered each with about 20 mL daily of RO water with around 200ppm's of CalMag and they're doing great.
