8/30 Rained yesterday and pretty much all night. Plants looked happy this morning. I'm thinking about feeding today or tomorrow. The late flowering special kush doesn't have much longer and it will be done. I'm going to need to do another treatment for the thrips. Nights are so cold that I think they aren't a major problem. No signs of septoria either. No signs of ANY molds or mildew. Even where I took the pillar out but I removed a lot. I am noticing (especially on the pink kush and the special kush in the back) the wierd "top hat" lower buds like I previously did. I don't think it's the chipmunk. It's like they eat fresh buds and leave the top there. I think it might be earwigs but I haven't seen ANY. Birds have been keeping my garden pretty clean. Almost everytime I walk down there it's like a flock of birds takes off lol. I was watching the little finches all perched on my cage. I've seen them dart in and grab a snack. It's pretty cool how it works. Symbiotic relationship. I feed the birds amd they help keep my garden pest free. EDIT: Went to check the girls around 430. It seems like everytime I see the flowers they've swelled in size. Especially the natural mk ultra. Everything is really coming together. Pink kush is behind but it's starting. I'm getting lots of fall colors but I'm losing lots of leaves too. I wouldn't have defoliated as good as I have if I hadn't had problems. I thought the plants were done getting taller or stretching but after this rain they ALL seem taller. The buds are swelling as well. I'm on the home stretch with the early special kush. Few more weeks. Everything looked amazing tonight. I wanted to take some pictures but I left my phone. Smell is greatly increasing. 8/31 I don't get how we got NO rain the ENTIRE summer but it's rained the past few nights? Maines bipolar weather I guess. I see the same shit as prior years. Something crawls up and eats small shoots and developing buds but leaves larger ones alone. I thought it was earwigs before. I'm not sure now. I'll have to go look at night and figure out what's eating shit. It's just small secondary shoots mostly. Stuff I should've pruned but I leave on so the won't eat my fucking colas. I got some work to do but I'm getting closer. 9/1 Well we made it to September. Pink kush is finally STARTING to form little buds. After some research (and watching those fucking locusts try to fly into my cage but can't because they are to fucking big. I was lucky I found that enormous one on the stalk of the furthest special kush right where the tip cola starts. Luckily I was able to get him. Didn't have to take pics or a video or even check if they need water. It rained a little last night and the buds were a little wet. I'm planning to feed when I get back. If they need water I'll give it to them. My early special kush is getting real close. I want to harvest at peak timing but sometimes exigent circumstances screw that up. However i think I'll be able to let this girl finish properly. EDIT: Went back over to check weights and everything was super heavy. Plants are all turning fall colors. I checked the trichs on my special kush, mk ultra and 10th planet. Everything looked great in the sun! Everything is swelling and getting frostier everyday. I'm hoping that the pink kushs will finish. My early special kush LOOKS like it should be done but it's not. Looking at the trichs and stigmas it needs more time. I've found on several plants that between the; giant caterpillars, earwigs and pillars that they can take a whole branch and pretty much decimate it in a night. I chased one of those giant locusts around my Cafe and it finally got out. Bastard was almost the size of a small bird! I should feed tonight and possibly do a treatment for pests.

How did you create/breed Freakshow? A. Methodical selection, line breeding, and culling is the short answer. Read our About page for more details. Q. Is it an indoor or outdoor type? A. Everything I've ever worked has been outdoors, including of course Freakshow. It has been our experience that outdoor (or sun grown, as it's recently being referred to) cultivars seem to perform extremely well under artificial conditions. This is true of seed starts or clones made from seed starts. The opposite is not always true; indoor clones often give an outdoor grower headaches because they don't always make the transition smoothly. This is due to light spectrum, temperature, and/or photoperiod changes. The exact heritage of any cultivar today is impossible to determine accurately. Also, considering the amount of continuous shameless hybridization that has occurred in the last 40 yrs., any modern kind could easily contain over 40 kinds. In the case of Freakshow, it's much more limited because the ancestry is largely older "Sativas" that didn't go through as much outcrossing. In the 70s in Santa Cruz, Haze was a favorite among surfers for the pure energy and I still have (greatly improved) stock of it around, simply because even when I made hybrids with it I always kept the original in pure form for obvious reasons. Q. What is the psychoactive effect like? A. Like the flavors, many people have commented that the "buzz" is somewhat different than other mainstream types out there. It's not entirely out of the scope of imagination that given that this strain has new alleles in so many other respects, that it could also contain new, unique cannabinoids, as well as new and unique terpenoids, some of which may not even be among the standard 16 or so that the average lab is testing for. Aside from the up, cerebral, energetic boost, some report a mild time/space warp effect. Creativity and idea induction should be mentioned, for sure. Freakshow has the pure energy effect and greatly alters perception to the positive side, so definitely destroys depression. Appetite suppression is a side effect, but the enjoyment of food is enhanced. I personally will attest to all of the above. We all have different receptor profiles, so these are just generalizations. Couch unlock. Q. Is it pest and mildew resistant? A. Indeed it is. On many occasions in the last few years, it has been observed that when pest and mildew issues were affecting other plants adjacent to in the vicinity of Freakshow plants, for unknown reasons the freaks remained entirely unaffected. This includes 0botritis, PM, various mites and insects, soil fungus, etc. We haven't heard any complaints along those lines so far, so if anyone has any problems, especially with a rigorous IPM regimen in place, we would like to hear about it. And if anyone can attest to the extreme level of resistance it seems to have we'd love to hear about that as well. Q. Does it contain web-leaf genetics? A. I thought I better clarify this because there are a few people thinking that because of an article "Growing Marijuana that Doesn't look like Marijuana" that mentions that I had worked web-leaf types years ago and had eventually turned that into Freakshow. This is incorrect and I'm needing to get ahold of the writer to have him change it. When I read the piece and saw the mistake I figured it didn't matter that much, that the actual method of breeding could just remain a "trade secret". Recently, I noticed online that a posting, "Freakshow only exists because of duckfoot" by Curious Cannabis Connoisseur, where he explains how I developed Freakshow using Duckfoot. Let me explain, about 20 yrs. ago a friend gave me a jar of seeds labeled "BC Bigbud" and I sprouted flats of hundreds to look for oddities and had found one web-leaf pheno which we named Webster. It was a female so I bred it to a normal leaf male and began selecting and stabilizing a line of Webster. About 5 or 6 generations later I had nailed it to 100% webs and had also stabilized it for a deep purple color and a nice "gingerbread" terp profile. I was busy working other lines at that point so I put Webster in the library. Also, I was having a hell of a time getting a pheno of it that flowered to my satisfaction. (it seemed to finish with a limited number of calyxes). I knew I would have to outcross it to something with a big tasty bud and restabilize it for web-leaf, and I no longer had the original BC Bigbud. I still have the Webster seeds, and trust me the thought has crossed my mind to make the cross with Freakshow, but why? Why mess around crossing things just to create something even weirder? I have heard that the "Duckfoot" also doesn't bud up well so maybe there's a correlation there. Anyway, people can do what they want to and I will too, but crossing Freakshow with some low-THC crap like ABC is in my opinion idiotic. I worked extremely hard stabilizing and perfecting a beautiful new subspecies and I believe it should be kept pure. I won't go on a rant here about the rampant crossing and the lack of line-breeding in the cannabis world in the last several decades, or where this will eventually lead us, but I will say that it's not in a good direction. Bottom line....Freakshow has no web-leaf genes, it was made using top-grade tropical narrow-leaf drug (NLD) cultivars. Q.Why is Freakshow patented? A. Although I and most others (including all the folks at HSC) believe in and subscribe to the concept of "open sourcing" because sharing in cannabis genetics was always the cultural norm, it was decided that Freakshow should be protected (1) because it is a novel and unique, not a preexisting strain (or even subspecies), (2) To keep the greedy corporate big boys from exploiting it, (3) To maintain control of the genetic refinement of it in all future generations. This week I’m still trying to resolve lockout issues on other plants in the tent by lowering the feed solution ph. I lowered the intake ph to 6.35. This reduced the runoff ph to 7.0-7.82. I have been watering 1500 ml with 125ml run off. This is low and I will Increase water to 1750ml next time. While the other plants in the tent reflect nutrient issues, White LSD looks healthy so far. All looking good each plant got 700ml of feed on day 13 Daiquiri got an addition 200ml as she was dry on day 15. Day 16 measurements are as follows: Ultimate 15 cm Daiquiri 10 cm Mazar 16 cm

I am happy to say she is starting to recover from the not clean warm air... Things are slowly looking up.. Have to give it to her the genetics are good.. she is tall and longed branched the smell is also starting to come up... Hope she goes good untill the end... fingers crossed 🙏

She is short but damn she packs a punch. Bushiest plant I’ve had. Bottom 1/3 has reveg issues. Some dead/brown calyx closest around the stem. Cleanup is a bitch but I want to keep the bottom 1/3 weed as personal

Starting to get some real buds now. Color in leaves changed within 3days. Had me super nervous I screwed up the plant. Thought I was dealing with a ph issue because of how early the leaves changed colors. Green spots on leaves are from me not turing down the light fast enough.

A lot going on this week!! Feeding 3 quarts every Sunday and Wednesday at this point. I did a light defoliation on Monday and did a more thorough defoliation on Friday! I opened up a lot of bud sights and it shows in the pics from late in the week!! I just turned the fan and carbon filter on. Temps are currently holding at 73-74F and the humidity is between 43-45%. I'm very happy with that! I hope to keep them both happy!! Enjoy!

WEEK 8

The plants are starting to recover from the N excess 2 weeks ago, this delayed a bit the starting of flower from some plants but im sure that the rest of flowering will be ok, i gave only water this week and applied a small amount of guanokalong nutrients as these are slowly absorbed to ensure the plant continues to receive some nutrients until next 2 weeks when we will start to give some extra PK

Hi people :-) This week the Victory Kush F1 (Phenotype 1-3) and the Zkittlez (Phenotype 1) were harvested. The Orange Sherbert (Phenotype 1-2) and the Zkittlez (Phenotype 2) were flushed. The rest fertilized as usual. Next week it continues :-) I wish you all a nice and healthy weekend.

So week 6 over and looking strong (for me) All but SP2 looking healthy praying to the light. Stretching nicely and starting to get some decent frost on GC1. It’s normally at this point I start to struggle. Last time was top dressing too late and they all yellowed up. But top dress in wk5 followed by another this week & a compost tea. That’s it still smoking my homegrown delicious weed from grow 3 with zero cash and time spent on wankstain kiddy dealers shitty weed. - definition of happiness.
